September 15, 2003: Asteroid sighted outside of pluto perimiter, sceduled to hit earth in about one year NS time. possible scenario, total and utter destruction.

month 1:
(in a Military R&D center)

(voice comes on loudspeaker)

*Attention all staff and faculty, the asteroid has not changed course apon passing pluto, all staff is to work on task assigned to them.*

Man at desk: Well I hope you enjoyed your life....

Man adjecent: Why do you have to be such a antagonist? if we work hard and get help from other nations im sure we can overcome!

Man 1: Yes well, we might as well get to work, this job is going to be like putting a round peg into a square hole...

Man 2: Impossible?....

Man 1: No, just difficult... extremly difficult.

(men start typing on computers)

Back at the Capitol, the President and his cabinet are arguing about the problem:

President: I say we nuke the god damn thing! I say we nuke it straight to hell!!

Advisor: Thats not the way to go about it sir! Nuking the thing from the outside would be like shooting an elephant with a potato gun.

President: What? make us look like retards?

Advisor: No! it would be insane and totaly uneffective.

President: yes well we are a powerful nation with a frightening Economy, you think we would be able to come up with somthing a little more feasable!

Advisor: yes well it would seem so wouldent it?

(President Jason Balathemu Storms out of the room)

The main idea of this RP is to figure out a way to stop the asteroid before it hits earth. and then execute the idea.

The Sec of Defence sits quietly at his desk writing a letter to a "friend" of his. His desk is cold along with the rest of the room. He now sits back and thinks about his next sentence to write to his friend as as we know.

Suddenly, his door is urgently knocked on. "uh...come in"

sec>> "Sir, an asteroid has been sighted outside of Pluto perimiter"

sec of def.>> "Well, what seems to be the problem?" his eyes now wide open

sec>> "It is on its way to Earth and could destroy the planet---"

sec of defence>> "What--when will--"

sec>> "Sir...We estimate that we have less than one day before it hits"

sec of defence>> "well, we arnt evean on that planet. Dont they have their own force to blow it out of the sky?"

sec>> "Thats what we are not sure of sir. Our nation is currently attempting to contact an Earth nation by the name of...Evil Mutant Squirrels"

Preseident: Ruler Of Squirells We Have been developing an experimenal bomb BUT we are not sure if its ready yet would you like to try it, cause it should be powerful enof.
Sec Of Defense: Well What About those...
President: QUITE

All of Vi2o watches on the TV as an asteroid streakes toward Earth.

Sec of defence>>"Hell, thats all it would take now...an asteroid."

The room is now empty, but he can hear all of hell outside his door.
