Jace announces plans for "World Wide Strike" capab

15-09-2003, 15:36
Today the newly renamed Armed Republic of Jace revealed it's plans for "World Wide Strike" capability, or WWS.

The concept is simple...the ability to strike anywhere in the world at any time (Um, give or take an hour...)

Tests of such weapon systems have been underway by Jace for some time, one such item being a new orbital bomber, which as it stands is intended for use as a ICBM launch platform, however Jace has not commented on weather these will contain Nuclear arsenals or not.

The Armed Republic says it is an important measure in todays world, the ability to swiftly take out an threat without large scale military deployment, what with all the terrorists and rogue nations around.

Jace wishes to put down any fears that such a network of weapons would be used for purposes of armed conquest, and that it will be used to eliminate targets posing a threat to the Armed Republic of Jace and it's allies only.

You know Vulcanus...thats not a half bad idea :D *Goes off to plot evilily*

Keen of you to notice FC, sadly it gives me no bonuses :?

Also, the Armed Republic of Jace wishes to confirm it did indeed launch a Tactical Nuclear Warhead at Amamerica, as we felt the country wasn't of high enough tactical importance to send in and maintain an occupation force, thus, we just nuked it.

Cause you`re the only country that didn`t realised how stupid the whole idea is?

ic: "We congratulate Jace to it´s achivement, and wonder if a technology exchange is possible, as our own 'switching' from more 'common' technologies to more... 'uncommon' technologies, which allow global strikes, is currently under way. Learning from each other is something great."

OOC: Why is Aori the only country I know with orbital rail-guns? Huh? Psht. . .'cause rail guns in orbit cause too much inertia, plus they don't have enough air to fire properly.

Orbital Rail Guns, at your age, ahuh, sure...*Ignores and steals*

We will give your preposal serious consideration, and if you where to share with us some of your "Uncommon" technologies, I'm sure we could share some of ours.

Anyway I must thank you all for your wonderful ideas and suggestions, a guy could take over the...er...defend himself quite well with neighbours like you

Actually, dont target my bathroom.

If it hits while I am in it, the resulting explosion of gases would destroy the planet.

(OOC: Aori was launching sattelites at the fifth day upon entry. The concept of sending a solid steel cylinder through the earth's atmosphere and sinking entire ships with a single blow is simple. Not to mention it's cheaper than buying hundreds of warships, tanks and jets.)

If you were to fire one of those things, you'd knock it not only out of orbit, but so much so that it would either burn up in the atmosphere or launch itself out to Pluto. However, all that is presuming that you could fire such guns. "Why is that so unpossible, Unkie Resi?" you ask? Well, simply because you need oxygen to actually fire the bullets, as it allows the gunpower to light. Simple physics.))

(OOC: It's solid steel, it gets uber-hot. Even asteroids composed of iron have trouble disentegrating sometimes, ya' know. And I said rail-guns. Not guns. Rail guns use charged electro-magnets to launch metal projectiles. With such speeds, a powerful computer armed with a 3D model of the earth could have highly accurate shots. Even one per five is acceptable if it brings down a warship that cost less than it did to get the steel slugs up in space the first place. If I'm not mistake, I think the United States' military is currently using experimental versions of rail guns to launch missles. Not suprisingly, my two missle cruisers are armed with twin pairs for balance (Don't like to tip over on one side, eh) and long range missle attack. Imagine something the size of a minivan hurling at some unsuspecting little destroyer a hundred miles away. I personally thought it would just be fun to test new technologies. Just in case, of course.)
