The old nimitz the new one is replacing will be scrapped, or sold.
15-09-2003, 13:10
We would be interested in purchasing your old Nimitz class carrier. Please feel free to fax my Minister of War (with a copy to my Minister of Finance) with the details, and we can work something out.
15-09-2003, 13:11
It is just a Nimitz, used for 5 years, shiny nuclear reactor, a lot of new stuff, serviced regularly.
15-09-2003, 13:14
What is your nation looking to get for the carrier? We prefer to deal in USD, but we could possibly trade for some resources if you prefer that.
15-09-2003, 13:17
We already haev decent Fighters, attack fighters, AS fighters, and ASW helicopters. All we lack is carrier borne AWACS, jammer aircraft, adn resupply aircraft that are carrier borne.

We pay in Holden's (equal to 1 USD)

Unfortunately, we have none of those aircraft to spare yet (we do have the plans, and will be starting production soon, though). We can pay in Holdens, as we have a bank that is willing to wire the money in that currency. Now, since Powerfularmies sells Nimitx class carriers for 1.8 Billion new, we would be willing to make the offer of 900,000,000 Holdens. If this is acceptable to you, we can wire the money right away.
15-09-2003, 13:24
1 Billion, and its sold.

We are sorry, but all phalnax's, Sparro launchers and weaponary have been removed for our new carriers.
15-09-2003, 13:28
Well, normally we would pass on the offer, as the CWIS and SAM systems have been removed. However, since this carrier will have other purposes other than active service, we will accept. We will wire the money once the bank has converted the sum to Holdens.

*Requests wire transfer of 1,000,000,000 Holdens to Freedom Country for A/C carrier*

Fine

Order confirmed

Ship will be sailed to you escorted by 1st Fleet, and then the sailors onboards will transoprt.
15-09-2003, 13:32
It was a pleasure doing business with you. Please deliver the carrier to Tsunami Boat Works, our main shipyards.
15-09-2003, 13:44
ok

ship will be sailed ASAP.

Permission to send 1 Nval Fleet into your international waters to safeguarrd the carrier until last possible moment.

And as a show of good faith, the ship comes with a full compliment of food for the your new crew. (They are being told to eat as little as possible of it!!!)

OOC: Do you mean out territorial waters?

IC: Since we have never had hostilities with your nation, we have no problem with allowing you to escort the carrier all the way to Tsunami Boat Works.
15-09-2003, 13:55
Yeh, terrirtoral waters

And could you possible help with this carrier project?

The new one being built is over budget and behind schedule.
15-09-2003, 14:02
We might be able to handle some fabrication work for you, as well as give you access to our design facilities and engineers. Will that help?
15-09-2003, 14:05
Sure

The design of the bridge needs sorting, and the front end is wreck, and needs work.

The deck is pretty sturdy tho

(Ooh, ooh! Option five; Western Asia's! [sails about the Indian Ocean on a Jonathan Netanyahu-Class Trimaran Aircraft-Carrier])
15-09-2003, 14:19
We are intrested in buying around 12 of these aircraft carriers.
15-09-2003, 14:21
We arent selling them, but will get back when we do.

And I have never heard of THAT carrier....

We will begin on the problem areas right away. Work will proceed faster, though, if we can see the entire plan set, to identify any trouble areas that are affecting the front end and bridge. Also, how much titanium and composite materials are being used in the costruction (the answer will help us with our design specifications)?
15-09-2003, 14:25
We have more than enough titanium, and we are making a strong, durable plastic composite material

We have more than enough titanium, and we are making a strong, durable plastic composite material

For the areas that we are working on, we hope to be using carbon fiber, instead of your proprietary plastic composite material (due to our accessability to it). Is there any compatibility issues with your material and carbon fiber that we should know about before we begin our work? Also, our engineers are making a second request to view the plans set, to help facilitate their design work (to make sure bulkheads and supports match up where they're supposed to).
15-09-2003, 15:07
The plans are open to your inspection, and the plastic composite can be delivered en masse to you. It uses carbon fibre pigments too.

Then we will use the plastic composite. Also, our engineers have started their work on the bow and the bridge. One recommendation they have is that the bridge be able to break away, in the event that the ship is listing too badly to one side (so that the bridge doesn't pull it over onto its side).

OOC: RL aircraft carriers are like that, or so I've been informed by someone who used to be in the Navy.
15-09-2003, 15:33
Sure

Just make sure it holds when its meant to.
15-09-2003, 15:57
Are these ever going to be for sale?
15-09-2003, 16:01
Eventually

The less advanced one can be made on request.

Only 2 at a time though.....
15-09-2003, 16:39
Ok

The bridge plans are cmplete, adn the bridge is being built now.

15-09-2003, 16:57

Anyway, the new big one is the one that is US/UK backed.

The computer generated one is reasonably large then, eh?
'cause you don't want to replace a Nimitz with a little British-style carrier unless you're making some serious cut-backs, of course.

Anyway, I'd have to applaud anyone not obsessing over Nimitz class efforts anymore. They're old! Move on, people!

Now if you'll excuse me, my battlecruiser's closing in on Bismarck..

heh, ah, well, I amuse ..me.
15-09-2003, 20:14
lol

Anyway, I am upgrading many carriers to this type.

Someone vote for my carrier would they? No! The correct answer is:
"Nianacio's multipurpose carrier"
[sails about the Indian Ocean on a Jonathan Netanyahu-Class Trimaran Aircraft-Carrier]Why'd you want a trimaran aircraft carrier? It wouldn't have much room inside to hold the aircraft.

15-09-2003, 23:25
(Well, it's rather hard to evaluate your carrier as you've provided some pretty pictures to look at and nothing in the way of hard statistics. Still, it looks a little lacking as a fleet carrier, as I'd imagine the aircraft capability would be small and regulated to VTOL craft.

As for the best carrier in NS, I'd have to vote for my own Salvador (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=56639)-class fleet carriers. Well maybe not best...but certainly the best Iansisle's ever created ;))
16-09-2003, 08:55
This carrier has little catapults BEFORE the ramp. So the plane is catapulted into the ramp, where it takes off.
17-09-2003, 16:19
The FCN Defiant is complete!!!!

The FCN Crusader is at 62% completion.

The FCN Defiant is currently leaving port for the 1st fleet.

there

stats added

(wait....if that thing's almost sixteen hundred feet long, then those aircraft on her deck must be near on a hundred feet long :?)

I know

Its a scaled down pic

I modified the stats...

Pretend the aircraft aint there....
