>Fortress 1, this is Foxhound, we have taken target building Alpha Charlie 2.
>Roger that Foxhound. What's the situation on target Alpha Bravo?
>Fortress 1, we've had no contact with Bloodhound for the past hour. We came under heavy fire entering the market district and had to spread out. We made it to the building but are still taking heavy fire.
>Foxhound, what's your sitrep?
>We have 8 WIA, 5 KIA, and the other 7 of us are in good shape. When can we expect a medevac?
>Have you secured an LZ?
>Yes, Fortress. Lima Zula located on the roof of this bulding.
>We're sending out a medevac ASAP.
>Roger, Fortress. Be advised, market is hot, I repeat, hot LZ. Maybe you need to clear the street.
>Roger that, Foxhound. Spectre coming in. Stay tight.
>Copy that, Fortress. Foxhound out.

>Eagle 1, this is Fortress, what's your ETA to target?
>Fortress, this is Eagle 1, ETA 2 minutes. Tell CSAR to hold back. We're coming in hot.
>Roger that Eagle 1. CSAR, be advised, Eagle 1 entering airspace and entering firing. Pull back and wait til gun-run is over.
>Roger, Fortress, CSAR holding 500 feet short of the LZ.
>BOOM...chzzz.... shzzz
>Eagle 1? Eagle 1!? What the hell was that?
>Fortress, this is Eagle 1, RPG impact to belly. Lost all controls with the pedals.
>Can you make it to the market, Eagle 1? Pull out now.
>Ah, shit. Eagle 1 going down. Eagle 1 going down hard. NO!... chzzz...
>Eagle 1? Eagle 1!? CSAR, lock and load your miniguns. Make a sweep and check out the crash site. Relay the information to us and then pick up at Foxhounds LZ.
>Roger that Fortress, CSAR out.

>Foxhound, this is Fortress.
>Fortress, this is Foxhound, go ahead.
>Be advised, Eagle 1 has gone down somewhere near your LZ. CSAR will be there soon for medevac. After that, I need you to go over to target Alpha Bravo and check on Bloodhound. If they need a medevac, get CSAR on the horn, but then you need to go to Eagle 1's crash site. CSAR is looking for it now. When we get it, we'll run it to you. Understand?
>Roger that, Fortress. Foxhound out.

>HQ, Fortress.
>Go ahead, Fortress.
>HQ, fighting on Falcon Island has started heating up. We were starting to take some Priority A structures when Operator squads Foxhound and Bloodhound took heavy fire on the way to the targets. We sent in a Trooper AC-130 and a CSAR bird to help out, but the AC-130 was shot down.
>Casulaties?
>Unknown. The CSAR bird is scouting the area so before we send in Foxhound.
>What do you need from HQ?
>Send in the Armored 7th and the 2nd Trooper Battalion. I think the situation's getting a lot worse.
>Roger, Fortress, HQ out.

>Fortress, this is CSAR.
>CSAR, go ahead.
>Fortress, we have found Eagle 1's crash site. They are nose first into a small hotel. Damage actually seems minimal, very little structural damage to the plane. Looks like a clean impact. No sign of survivors, but some of the militia are firing into the impact hole, so I presume someone is shooting back.
>Roger that, CSAR. What's the location on the crash site?
>Roughly 2 miles due east of target Alpha Charlie.
>Roger that, Fortress out.

>Foxhound, this is Fortress.
>Go ahead, Fortress.
>Foxhound, Eagle 1's crash site is about 2 miles due east of you. Hook up with Bloodhound and haul ass to the crash site, do you copy?
>Roger that, Fortress. Foxhound out.

International News Report

When combat operations go wrong.

Operation Inferno Wind was the AATC's first strike to clear militia soldiers out of Aziklan. Twelve miles off-shore of Portland, Aziklan, Falcon Island stood as one of the most militia populated places in the nation, second only to the city of Dahklin. But at 1350 this afternoon, it all fell apart.

During an AATC raid against some Priority 1 targets inside the city. On the way, the teams came under heavy fire. Barricading themselves inside the target buildings, they waited desperately for a Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) team to come in via helicopter and get them out. But the street fighting was too dangerous for the CSAR helicopter. So an AC-130H Spectre gunship was sent in to clear the street. But en route, it was hit by a militia RPG and crashed in the city. The AATC teams awaiting medevac have been pulled out to make it to the crash site as quickly as possible and defend it until proper rescue can arrive. The CSAR chopper still has to get the wounded, but it cannot help at the crash site. No Federation Troopers were on stand-by, so the situation has to be completely resolved by the AATC Operators. No plan has been devised yet, but we all hope they aren't too late to save the crew of the plane.

More as it develops.

On board the C.N.S. Riska Flagship of the Special Operations Fleet.
"Admiral we have confirmed down aircrew on the nearby island. Major Esla is requesting permission to move in his teams."
"Permission granted but i want air support launch our ac-130 to their maximum firing alt. And get our helciopters prepped for liftout now"
The fleet turned heading towards the island and coming to a stop about twenty minutes later.
"Ok men its a ten minute flight and then we are dropped in on target area to help them out. The entire area is hostile so shoot anyone who shoots at you. Ready?"
"Yes sir"

Ten minutes later they landed and got out around the target area setting up a defense permiter inside the hotel. Several snipers got onto the roof as the assualt teams cleared the building and set up defense postions. Alpha team moved towards the downed ac-130 and yelled out "we are friendlies if anyone is alive do not shoot" They approached slowly and were prepared to get set for a long time before rescue could be made.

>Right here.
>Thomas?
>Roger, Sarge.
>Doc?
>Ready, Sarge.
>Ok, We're leaving the rest of the guys with Bloodhound and their medic to wait medevac. Dustoff is within the hour. We need to move east of here to find the crash site and secure it. I don't know if we have an other reinforcement; Jenkins hasn't been able to get HQ on the horn for a while. So, lock and load and let's move out.

>Fortress, we have picked up half the wounded from target building Alpha Charlie. We need one more pick-up.
>Roger that. Foxhound, come in.
>Roger Fortress, this is Foxhound.
>Foxhound, what is your ETA to target?
>Should be at the crash in 2 minutes.
>You've got 1. Haul ass.
>Copy that.
>Eagle 2? Do you copy?
>Roger Fortress, this is Eagle 2.
>Eagle 2, watch you back for militia rockets. We need you in grid-square Whiskey-9-13 to give air support to Foxhound.
>Roger that. Eagle 2 en route to Whiskey-9-13. ETA 30 seconds.
>Cobra 1, do you read?
>Roger Fortress, Cobra 1 here.
>Those Little Birds can fly in between the buildings low to the street. I need you to provide close air-to-ground support, but watch out for militia. At that altitude you could be easily hit and a crash would end everything. Got that?
>Roger Fortress.
>Get Cobra 2,3,4, and 5 and move out to grid square Whiskey-9-13 to provide support for Foxhound.
>Roger that. Cobra 1 out.

<Eagle 1's Crash Site>

Lt. Erikkson's eyes blink open. Above his head, one of the instrument panels lining the dashboard of the AC-130 swings back and forth. The sun shines in from the hole in the ceiling. His legs and back ache. He looks next to him. Lt. Keller is no where to be found. Erikkson would go look for them, but he can't move.

Out side the plane, Sgt. Brakhage and Pvt. Miller are lying down behind a small brick wall returning fire on a group of militia members close by. Leaning out the door of Eagle 1, Sgt. Powell's sniper rifle pounds of round after round, dropping man after man after man. But the ammo is running low, and they don't have an radio contact to the rest of the forces. It's going to be a tough ride.

<On Board Cobra 1, Lead Chopper for Uniform Cobra>

"HQ, HQ, this is Cobra 1. Uniform Cobra nearing the crash, ETA 2 minutes."
"Roger Cobra 1. HQ out."

"Roger that Cobra 1. Begin regual run runs up and down the streets. Get Cobra 6 to cover the roof tops. When Eagle 2 gets there, back out of the way and let him in. After that, you need to give close support to the CSAR bird. They don't have much infantry support until Foxhound gets there, so you need to keep tight cover.
"Roger than. Cobra 1 out."
