Elias State NEws Service:

"Today a ceremony took place at the home base of the 23rd Tactical Fighter Squadron celebrating the activation fo the first EA-150 'Wolverine' Light Fighters. This advanced aircraft is the first combat jet to be built and designed completely in United Elias and although the development has been protracted the end result has proved the cost overruns to be worth it. A total of 240 have so far been ordered by the Elias Air Force and will come into service gradulaly in both new squadrons and also replacing Mig-21-93 light fighters and Mig-23s, which will be transfered to reserve units, replacing Mig-19s. Senior sources say that the type willl soon be available for export in order to try and cover the development costs which were more than double that what was predicted."

One of the fighters still in the Elias Aerospace Corporation's House colours.

"The aircraft is however supposed to be highly advanced and this was the reason it was chosen rather then the more conservative and conventional
EA-155 design also offered by Elias Aerospace. In retropect it seems that thsis descison was extremely costly because of the huge amount spent i perfecting the crucial flight control computers due to the Wolverines purposefully unstable design."
