Most advanced radar system

What is an example of an extremely high powered radar system that can detect stealth aircraft, and possibly control SAMs?

Those standard American radars can detect stealth aircrafts... somehow.

But the stealth aircrafts are very often detected as something else.

In a freak twist of fate, the old SA-2 and SA-3 radars can detect stealth aircraft... But stink at finding anything else.

I thought they can only detect their own stealth aircraft, and even then they have trouble.

The American SPY radars can detect their stealth aircraft but they show them as being the size of a bird, just moving at 400mph! Not entirely sure if they contol SAM's as well though.

Well, we want to rebuild our coastal defenses over a course of several years with the latest technology...

OOC: And it also would be weird for 2 or 3 birds travelling 1km apart.

Well? Are there any radar systems that can do that?

We have a model, the DRT-5, that can do this. Of course, it renders the area around it for 25km uninhabitable to to radiation. Your'e safe underground though. We use it to guard some sensitive facilities that we want the people going near them dead anyway.

We'll sell you them for, let's say, $5,000,000,000 a piece?

unfortunately, we dont live underground.

Just big a nice large and powerful Mobile phone network if you get it right you can use it to spot stealths (as the serbians did until NATO buggered the entire network).

A heavily protected a sercure mobile network also allows you to use it for troops coms on your own turf (but lots of issues with that).

never mind. We have decided on an extremely high powered radar system, that since it spans the entire Attican border, bounces the waves off the fighter in every direction. We also use a doppler system. One of the radar systems is going to detect SOMETHING, and ANYTHING that is unusual to it will be fired upon.

ummm this will result in hundreds of casualties per year involving civillains and birds.

Civilian aircraft will use IFF tracking systems, and most of them will have pre-programmed flight systems.

Our environment sucks, birds dont come here (plus, the doppler detects birds as very small animals, it detects B2s as aircraft).

If we ever work on a space program, we will launch sattelites programmed to monitor air traffic, watching for bogies.

too expensive. just take the casualties; lots of them are foreigners anyway
