The Kreegans

Pip... pip... pip...
A little Imp hopped up the steps of Zarphax, the capital of the Kreegan Empire. The nails on its miniscule feet made tiny clicking noises on the heavy marble slabs that made up the entire city, and the flapping of its undersized wings was barely enough to get it off the ground.
Once it reached the massive door of the capital building, it reached out and lifted the knocker with strength incredible for its small frame. It lets the knocker drop, making a massive booming sound, which echoes throughout the building. At once, the doors slowly begin to creep open, allowing the Imp access to the veritable city of a palace. It hopped inside, and the doors slammed shut. Flames lept from the doorstep, and all was silent.
After hours of navigating through the mazes and hidden passages of the great Kreegan palace, the Imp finally reaches the throne room, where Lucifer Kreegan, the devil himself, sat enjoying a show of millions being slaughtered that apparently was being shown from the middle of a giant flying fireball. The Imp slowly and fearfully hopped towards the Eldar Kreegan, between the massive pillars that supported the roof of the great throne room. Inscribed on each pillar was a scene from the lengthy history of the Kreegans, depicting such things as rains of fire burning kingdoms to the ground and demons stealing the souls of kings and queens in exchange for all-too-temporary material wealth. The Imp, upon reaching Lucifer Kreegan, took to one knee and offered a scroll to up to his master in trembling hands. "Beej Kreegan," the Imp croaked, "your brother, sends word to your hellishness."
Lucifer Kreegan picked up the scroll, tiny in comparison to him, with his thumb and forefinger. The Imp, his purpose fulfilled, shrank away and tried to exit the room, but four demon guards prevented his exit with a myriad of magical weapons. The Imp backed up, and turned to face his master.
Kreegan, not saying a word, began to read the scroll.
My dear brother,
Upon receiving this scroll, kill the messenger. No one is to hear of the message contained within it besides yourself and I. But enough of the pleasentries, now on to business.
It appears that strange portals have been opening up in magical places within our kingdom. Now, I know that this may surprise you, but these may lead to places that have not seen the domination of our mighty empire. But with this surprise comes great opportunity, as I know both you and I have hungered for the slaughter ever sense the last great human and elven resistance was flattened. This gives us a chance to bring millions of human slaves into our nation, and to grow our power substantially. We can even convert the stronger ones into demons, so that they can fight at the head of our glorious armies. The largest of these portals, located on top of Gnoll's Hill, leads to a large and resource-rich island somewhere on top of a massive body of water. I believe that this would make the perfect base for us on this new world, which will soon become a part of our Empire. I have already sent a few lesser demons (like the Imp who brought you this message) to scout out the land and build a few castles on the island. All other demons that have caught a glimpse of this portal have been drafted to work in the other world.
Your servant brother,
Beej Kreegan
Lucifer Kreegan set fire to this note. He then got up and lopped off the head of the Imp who delivered it with his sythe. The Imp's body hobbled around a bit, then fell over.
"It is done," Kreegan said in a Earth-shattering voice, "We have found a new land to conquer! Let our armies fight again!"
OOC: I suffer no delusions about the small size of my nation, and its inability to conquer anything at this point. However, I can't say the same for my characters. :)
