13-09-2003, 17:07
...It started as a pub brawl between a group of students and some plain clothes soldiers in one of the inner cities grainy bars. Marcose Zemadda, an influencial student who often headed pro-democracy and anti-regime rallies was brutally beaten by the soldiers and and his close comrade Teravore Gellda was slashed with a broken bottle, collapsed and soon died of blood lose.

These tragic death of the two students sparked an angry reaction as people around the thuggish street violence were pulled in by the smell of blood and passion moving through the city. In just 2 hours the situation escalated into a riot as soldiers and police attempted to crush the angry mobs of mostly students and a growing number of other disenfranshised citizens.

To stop the situation spready to rest of the country, already growing uneasy under the iron-fisted ledership the capital has been isolated and the full army, navy and airforce are being mobilised to strengthen control over the capital...

Do you join the regime or the revolutionaries?

Freedom today has become a lost art
running everyday through a maze in the dark
fighting wars but not for the people
mostly political

So run baby run
or you'll be next
pulled in this blackhole
just like the rest

Democracy's run by state and police
murder as far as the eye can see
freedom taken out of our hands
brought back by the government man

So run baby run
or you'll be next
pulled in this blackhole
just like the rest

- Popular song among the revoltionaries and written on the Peace Wall at the Kapital university

The goverment does not need any support as there is no *official* unrest.

*unofficially* the goverment finds itself with a tenious control over the situation and many of our troops have beegun to fight on bef of the revolutionaries, this threatens to split the armed forces apart.

"Comrades! The time has come to seize arms and fight a battle for freedom, justice and liberty agaisnt hte oppresive forces of the Gerneralisimo Uragand. too long have the people been suffocated under the foul stench of facism!

People on the farms, leave your fields and take to the soldiers with pitchforks. Workers put down your machinary and arm yourselves. Soldiers of the state, turn your guns against those who will have you crush your brothers and sisters in the name of hate.

Freedom, Justice & Liberty!"

As this conflict is a civil war, the Democratic States of Mef pledges neutrality, and will try not to be dragged into the affairs of another nation, as it has no political affiliation with either side and the conflict does not effect the DSM. However, if funds are needed for rebuilding the country after the seemingly bloody conflict ahead, we can be reached.

Official newsbroadcast announces

"Today the Grand Generalissimo has authorised the entry of foreign troops to crush the spreading dissent across the nation. The Gerneralisimo announced this in an earlier public announcement of victories over enemies of the people in largly rural areas, official body counts are yet to be called.

the Generalissimo declared that Island No 8s isolationist policy had only been a trick to full those who wish to over throw the nation to attempt to do so and that his plan was working as expected. He also declared the capital to be safe while evacuating senior members of the regime to more 'stratigic' areas...."

Meanwhile as the darkness pulls across the Island a halo of orange crowns the capital as the intense fires cast up agains the thick smoke. The sound of artillary pounds across the silent bay.
