Pilot

< WHITE HOUSE PRESS ROOM, 12:00PM >
"My fellow Pilotans, we are once again faced with a grave danger. It is not one that strike us at our home, but one that strikes us abroad. One that strikes against the free will, and the sovergnty of other nations. One that does not bare sadness to the loss that it has wished to bring upon innocent civilians. I come to you tonight... not as a President... Not as a citizen of the Democratic States of Pilot... I, I come to you tonight as a man. A man of principle and a man that leads a nation dedicated to upholding the values of free society, and protecting them from the aggression of the views of others. This nation we are in will not stand idly by while one of our allies, a free democratic nation, is overrun by a foriegn invasion.
Thankfully, due to the long peacetime Pilot has endured we have come up with the tools nessacary to fight against this type of imperialism. We will not sit and watch on our television sets as free societies have iron fist views imposed upon them.
We have tried. We have tried to warn before that civilians have nothing to do with armed conflicts. The time for that reasoning has passed. A little more than twelve hours ago, a rouge nation named Melkor Unchained launched an attack on our ally New Genoa. This morning, our senate approved in an emergency session tonight that we will not stand by. Pilot has officially declared armed conflict against Melkor. We will lead our call of arms into this conflict and rise out as the shining beacon of peace and stability that has been so much taken from the pedestal of our nation. Thank you, and good-day."
All the televisions and radios across the vast nation of Pilot fell silent, as commentary slowly filtered in.
The President left the press room and headed back to the oval office, he had much more planning to do for the country he just lead to war.
< OOC: Ok, this needs an explaination. It's 11:34PM here. I can't write a long and involved piece on my military and what I'm deploying and what technologies I need to declare so I don't get called a godmodder, because honestly, I'm dead tired. So, this is a speach that aired September 13, 2003 [real time] at Noon. That is why the times are a little off. I ask Melkor to hold off his attacks until then because I just cannot keep my eyes open enough to read them. Which makes sense, you wouldn't realisitically know that I was attacking until Sep 13, 2003 at noon. >
