Pilot declares war on Melkor Unchained

< WHITE HOUSE PRESS ROOM, 12:00PM >

"My fellow Pilotans, we are once again faced with a grave danger. It is not one that strike us at our home, but one that strikes us abroad. One that strikes against the free will, and the sovergnty of other nations. One that does not bare sadness to the loss that it has wished to bring upon innocent civilians. I come to you tonight... not as a President... Not as a citizen of the Democratic States of Pilot... I, I come to you tonight as a man. A man of principle and a man that leads a nation dedicated to upholding the values of free society, and protecting them from the aggression of the views of others. This nation we are in will not stand idly by while one of our allies, a free democratic nation, is overrun by a foriegn invasion.

Thankfully, due to the long peacetime Pilot has endured we have come up with the tools nessacary to fight against this type of imperialism. We will not sit and watch on our television sets as free societies have iron fist views imposed upon them.

We have tried. We have tried to warn before that civilians have nothing to do with armed conflicts. The time for that reasoning has passed. A little more than twelve hours ago, a rouge nation named Melkor Unchained launched an attack on our ally New Genoa. This morning, our senate approved in an emergency session tonight that we will not stand by. Pilot has officially declared armed conflict against Melkor. We will lead our call of arms into this conflict and rise out as the shining beacon of peace and stability that has been so much taken from the pedestal of our nation. Thank you, and good-day."

All the televisions and radios across the vast nation of Pilot fell silent, as commentary slowly filtered in.

The President left the press room and headed back to the oval office, he had much more planning to do for the country he just lead to war.

< OOC: Ok, this needs an explaination. It's 11:34PM here. I can't write a long and involved piece on my military and what I'm deploying and what technologies I need to declare so I don't get called a godmodder, because honestly, I'm dead tired. So, this is a speach that aired September 13, 2003 [real time] at Noon. That is why the times are a little off. I ask Melkor to hold off his attacks until then because I just cannot keep my eyes open enough to read them. Which makes sense, you wouldn't realisitically know that I was attacking until Sep 13, 2003 at noon. >

OOC: I don't recommend to attack Melkor... Just defend NG, and see what happens.

Ditto to what Johnistan said. here, let me run my ad...

Are you tired of having second-rate weaponry, and wish you had some seriously huge 60-foot-tall battlemechs or 20-foot-tall robot spiders to literally stomp your enemies flat? How about a single power plant that can power a city the size of New York while producing NO POLLUTION, or a couple of mind-reading empaths? Maybe you've invisioned your troops travelling via spaceplane, or walking along the ocean floor, or maybe you want to replace your human army with one of robots that will obey your every whim. Whatever your fancy, you'll find it in the newest edition of the Resi Corporation's marketplace! Located here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=67552), this shop can update your nation, so you can outclass your strongest foes!

The Empire of Akilliam can not sit idly by and allow Melkor, our staunch ally, to be threatened. Perhaps your nation failed to see the all-consuming power of Lord Melkor, and the fashion in which the Coalition withered before his wrath. Like a body in the crematorium your nation shall be burned away and reduced to ash. If you wish to engage the might of Lord Melkor, first you must engage the Empire of AKilliam.

This "withered" coalition is still fighting, and not doing a terrible job at that. Get cocky if you want, but we are not beaten...

Esamopia has world class I.G.N.O.R.E. cannons and other related items, plus we can moderate this conflict should you wish to request a moderator. (This is usually done only with bad RP-ing countries who always want to declare their attacks as victories and which destroys and chance for tactics or strategy. Also, some just use it because it adds another element to the scenario... its your choice, we're here to help, and we have had no contact with any of the parties thus far so we're completely neutral.)

Both know what they're doing.

< OOC: This attack has been cancelled. Not because the parties involved, but I really don't have the energy to be starting conflicts. I'm really crunched for the time to write my own front and wait for Melkor to response, etc. This does not mean that my forces won't be inolved in defending New Genoa, but I won't be RP'ing them.

I remind you that because I posted this before 12PM September 13, 2003, NO ONE knows about Pilot declaring war. Read the damn OOC at the bottom of the thread. Good day. >

The Lord of the Dead, King Agardeloth sat quietly in his inner sanctum within the Black Citadel of the Corpselands.
In walked a figure, hooded and cloaked however no form seemed to be apparent within other than a thick darkness, it was an Elf Wraith.
"My Lord, Pilot has declared war on Melkor Unchained." Came a loud whisper of a voice from the cloaked wraith.
"Foolish Pilot, they understand not the force that they challenge. The Noldor of the first age never did until it was too late, I remember those days. How on earth will he do any better than the Noldor who have forsaken me?"
The Wraith left the room and King Agardeloth returned to his meditations, the dead after all require his concentration and direction.

Lords and Ladies of Pilot, you may not know what you intend to awake and I do not support what you intend to do but I am willing to offer the chance to dispose of the bodies of your enemies by sending them to the Corpselands. It would be wise, my friend!

If you are so sure that Pilot can't harm Melkor then why do believe it necessary to attack Pilot yourself?
