Today, the Islamic militant group, the Taliban_ have returned to power in Central Asia after years of hiding from American bombs.
Because they seek revenge, the Taliban infiltrated the unitedstatesofamerica and blew up the Golden Gate bridge and the Staples center during a live basketball game. It is believed the LA Lakers were targeted because Los Angelinos can't live with out the Lakers.
The attacks occured at an opportune time when the rest of the world was preoccupied with CommunistPoland to do anything to assist UnitedstatesofAmerica.
Taliban_s military objective is to force a militant islamic government on the American people.

The Taliban_ is has also begun rebuilding and modernizing its military.
The Great Mullah is qouted as saying "We are unstoppable. Soon the whole world will be one big Islamic Empire under our rule."

The Class A Cows would like nothing more than to crush a group of religous fanatics and has prepped a small 16-member team of less-than-lethal speacial forces and 8 anti-vechile unmanned aircraft prototypes to assist in the capture and interrogation of the group. I have spoken with Taliban_ by telegram. He has assured me in a polite OOC manner that he is trying to start a serious roleplay. Given the polite wording of his telegram to me, I am taking him seriously.

Taliban_, as you go along, you may have to post OOC questions to ask about how to roleplay. I also advise you to read all of the Announcement and Sticky topics in this forum before continuing.

Dontgonearthere, even if Taliban_ was trolling and flamebaiting, your post constitues additional flamebait and is not an appropriate response. A complaint in the "Moderation" forum or the use of the mod/alert signal would be an appropriate response.

flamebaiting is posting something offensive to someone else for no other apparent reason than to pick a fight.

your first post with no ooc qualifiers counts as that in my book. If you are serious about a rp of the Taliban, I don't think you will have a problem finding people willing to rp that.

I would follow Cogitations advice and and read the stuff in the Nationstates forum that is stickied at the top of the thread list. There is a good one for new players (noob guide) and a great one for "new to nationstates" both are more or less required reading if you don't know how to roleplay(rp) in the game

Because this thread is full of flamebait and spam, and at the request of the topic author, iLock.

The way I see it, this has been a misunderstanding on the parts of several people (including, but not limited to, Taliban_).

In the future, any flaming or trolling should be reported in the "Moderation" forum or labeled with a mod/alert signal (except as one word and without the slash). An army of emoticons is going to do diddily-squat except slow down people's browsers.

Speaking of which, I should go back and remove some of that stuff....
