After several tedious years, New Genoa has completed a massive bomb-shelter underground bunker system. The system is very secure, with AA and SAM sites hidden atop the bunkers, and is almost like an underground cities. The 'bunker cities' have been codenamed 'Safety' and seven, one for each province, have been constructed.

Today, millions of New Genoese civilians have flocked to the bunkers in a practice test, and will be living underground to test the systems for about a week or two.

A bit paranoid aren't we. Unless New Genoa has alot of enemies, I don't see a point to spending so much money on underground cities.

I think it's a bit unrealistic to say that they are 'bomb-proof', yes?

Surry and hide you cowards, you shall hear us pillage your cities from the so-called "safety" of your bunkers!

Ahem, I mean, interesting system, very passive I'd say.

that must be massivly taxing on your economy, no? nevermind the huge cost of building such underground cities, the massive impact on your economy that moving everybody undergound, for two weeks, would cause is enough to send you into a depression... unless you figured out a way to counter-act that.

Don't just assume they're highly developed 'cities'. They're mostly underground bomb shelters. There are enough rations for two weeks and rations are handed out twice. Plus, only about 70% is underground.

For us, we already have bunker systems in our large cities, and medium-sized cities. Infact, the bunker near east Osaria, the place where government buildings are located, and where military installations are present, has a nuclear attack bunker, designed to defend citizens against a nuclear attack.

Anyways, we will send you congrats.

We have a bunker system going fully across out coast, which consists of bunkers above beaches or possible landing points, and the bunkers are really just houses with a bunker like part facing the water, with an MG facing out and sometimes a missile launcher on top. its really fairly cheap to do so, and civilians crew them, as they get to live there free of charge.

granted. but still... moving a large portion of your population into these bunkers for a couple of weeks must have some majorly adverse effects on your economy.

Well, not all of the population: and there are basic shops and such underground. Merchants, military, and customs stay above ground so we are be supplemented with some cash.

Also, an OOC note that NG was ranked in the 400's worldwide for economy so we can spare a week or two.

00C: the USA has the worlds best economy, but if they took a couple weekds off, it would go to hell.

Yes, yes. Oh, and several million citizens are mystriously taking simultaneous vacations to nearby allies also.

OOC: Believe me, our war industry and car industries are still up and running and something will propel the economy during this short time. It may not even be a week. Those are estimates at the most.

Congratulations on your wise decision to consider subterranean development.
