Sea Harrier (FA2)
Single-seat subsonic fighter, powered by a Rolls Royce Pegasus engine and carrying the Blue Vixen Radar. Moveable nozzles allow the engine thrust to be vectored through 90 degrees to enable short or vertical take-off and landing. The Sea Harrier requires a take-off run of 350-400 ft depending on fuel and weapon load. The ski-jump which aids take-off means the harriers can carry a greater weapon payload.
