Greetings. I am Chief Diplomat M. Selby of the Commonwealth of Dronestia. We are a small and proud nation in the Bering Strait, and have only recently begun rushing to the sea and exploring other lands. However, we have found that it is enormously difficult to maintain communications while being several thousand miles away...it takes one of our ships weeks to get from one place to another. We have heard of this invention known as 'radio' and would like to purchase the technology. Our budget is fairly limited, but I'm sure I can negotiate a fair price. Thank you.

Shing-Lo, too has regrettably witnessed larger nations wreaking havoc with newer smaller ones. We offer a donation of 15 billion US dollars, but cannot promote buying new technologies with it. We believe in letting naitons evolve so that they donot step ahead of thier place in one area and fall behind others. Of course, the money is yours now, so do with it what you will.

Indra Prime is in agreement with Shing-lo in that the advancement of a nation is their own priority and not the responsibility of others. A nation must be able to grow in all areas at once without an overbearing onslaught of international aid. Despite this we will offer your nation 2 Billion USD for use as you see fit as we also have seen many large nations prey on the smaller, weaker ones. Good Luck to you Sir.

His Majesty Emperor Gustav Alderman I extends his hand in friendship to the nation of The Commonwealth of Dronestia. We invite you to establish an embassy in our capital city of New Koln, and would very much like to establish an embassy of our own to Dronestia. Also His Majesty realizes that times on Earth are unsure and many nations are pursuing extremely imperialistic policies that include annexing weaker young nation. Therefore if you should require assistance in defending yourselves from such an attack, the Empire of Valinon would be willing to assist the government and the people of Dronestia in any way possible. Finally, feel free to contact us should any other problems occur.

Science Advisor Grissom fiddled with the knobs on the newly-arrived Wolfish Radio Transciever nervously. "I think I figured it out, Minister...you should be broadcasting directly to the government office of Valinon."
"Good," Prime Minister Looney said. He coughed, clearing his throat, and leaned toward the microphone nervously.
"Count Leopold of the Empire of Valinon, we have recieved your most gracious offer to exchange embassies and accept your proposal. We expect the arrival of your ambassador in the coming week. However, we do have a slight problem. It appears that your nation is not of the Earth. We do not yet possess the technology to enter the fierce realm of space, and would be unable to deliver our ambassador to you for at least another hundred years. Again, we thank you for your gracious friendship offer, and wish you good fortune among the stars."
Science Advisor Grissom clicked the transciever assembly off.
"Well, that went well...now it'll only take them about 4.5 years to recieve that message," he said with a smirk.

oh, and as you sent out a radio signal that would take years to reach the nation you sent it to, we took the liberty of intercepting it and transmiting it overour instantaneous message system, so that nothing major would change in the time it took to get there.
