Walmington gets bored of everyone- considers being elitist.

There's too many of you! Relatively few of you are sane! I don't like number crunching RP! I don't like perpetual upper-case text! (I am driven to deploying my broken-sentences-with-many-exclamation-marks!)

I would start by saying "those of you aware of the on-going WWII-sytled situation.." but frankly I don't think that half of those now involved are aware of most of it, just that there's a fight in the offing and they want in. Fair enough, because no one wrote "invite only" on the many threads which have been to some degree involved, but.. I can't help thinking it was a mistake. I quite like my little Walmington, and I don't like that its evolution is about to be dictated by a war of mob-rule and disorder, so..WoS is stepping back.. and waiting to see what other people do.

WoS, Der Kriegsmarine, Iansisle, Calarca, likely Ercolana, and probably Hainan and Chiang Mai I thought, were building up to something worthy of dictating the future course of our nations, but I at least see it as a game/story/adventure -not a competition/contest/fight which it's starting to look like in some relevent threads. The fact that it is only some only makes me more confused, so if anyone needs me I'll be curling up in a ball trying to hide from the masses.

(So I am anti-social, what're y'gonna do about it? )

I tend to agree with you, even if I feel that exclusion is not the right attitude to take...perhaps we could suggest to the newcomers rather nicely that a World War II Rp of their own would be better? I mean, I feel as if we've built up a nice little world, and they are coming into it rather late. Please don't take this the wrong way, chaps - I'm sure most of you are terrific roleplayers, but our scenario may be a little "full" right now.

Yeah, I rather thought that. There's nothing to stop other people having their own 40sish tech war, but nations seem to be picking up arms without reason, and it just looks like war for the sake of it. Which is find if that's what you're playing the game for, of course!

I dunno, this is a bit of a gamble- I've nothing that tells me other players will come and play with Walmy, but oh well, I'd rather skip it than get caught up in a series of ooc disputes or fighting-'cause-there's-nothing-else-to-do.

I second the motion. Keeping track of 5 players in 4 threads and multiple pages is hard enough, having 40 new weekold newbies trying out their mystical (or is than miniscule? ) muscles makes things so much more difficult.

Sorry to had been so offensive. I thought it would be fun to be in on a good RPG. If you would like. I will deleate all Batavian threads on the liberty site. I cannot say the same for the others who are there.

Well, it seems this will be sorted out soon. Most people I meant no offence to, I hope it wasn't taken (don't mind me, I'm an irritable old..sober person [twitch]).

Do we need a new thread/to take over an existing thread to sort out what the heck we're doing, where we're up to, and..who we are? Or am I just slow?

(I think it was more or less taken care of, hopefully without any hard feelings, over in the Liberty thread. I think a new thread for the actual RP - perhaps an invite only one - would be in order.)

Not having a Game master, referee , moderator is what causes most threads to laps into the old Munchkin idea of ,I am great, I am good ,a and you thank me for your food.
Some players just need guidance. Most real conflicts are fought in small places.
NS does need a little more detant RP like supporting small countries against small countries.
More RPing not juggernauting. I think you can turn noobs into excellent lacky countries to buy your stuff an enforce your will. Let them attack themselves, just mold them into "puppet dictators" like the Real world does.

You're better than New Arkarnsas, since you didn't try and dictate what the others units were doing or destroyed.

For a good RP to join, Try the Melkor War. TM a few of the players there and ask for advice first tho, some my accept you in as an ally and show you the ropes as they do, it's a lot less of a single tech level war than the Liberty/Queen Jess/Tea @ WoS/Scramble for gallaga/Naval Review set of threads which all tie in and out of each other in a confusing mess are. The melkor war is more a alliance/nations full out blast war while this and associated threads which are far more character and historical development threads for our nations.

Other than that, send a few observers along to things like Danyas search for a king, and other diplomatic threads, you need to give other players a feel for your nation. Talk about your nation as background to your posts there, eg. Lord Dunghill, commisinar of the north walks into the palace throne room and looks up to Daniella on the throne. This single room could hold his entire official residence in the frosen north of the BSSR where he overseas 10000 square miles of frozen taundra populated by reindeer and political prisoners... We can tell that you're a Socilist nation from the name, but Marxist? Stalinist? Paranoid Maoist? do you have a history of naval battles or does the navy come in far distant third on the funding scale to the Army and Air force? Does it rely on trade? or make everything itself? is it a newly revolted nation i.e. 1917ish upheavals, or settled Glastnost periodish?

As Iansisle said no hard feelings, but this thread actually has had most of those things about our nations psychology settled a long time ago and having a set of new nations hashing this out in the middle of the thread can cause problems.
