Kahta to build 2 CVN's
Ministry of Defense-- The Kahtan navy has placed the orders for 2 United States Class aircraft carriers at a cost. They will be constructed by Kahtan Defense co. and both will be ready in 5 years. Each CVN will have been modified to accomodate up to 30 F-14 Tomcats, 15 EA-6B's, 10 HH-60's, 10 S-3's, 5 E-2's, and 20 F/A-18's each. The current configuration has 15 F-14's, 3 EA-6B's, and 6 HH-60's each.
The Kahtan Government is currently looking to purchase 30 F-14 Tomcats, 24 EA-6B's, 14 HH-60's, 20 S-3's, 10 E-2's, and 40 F/A-18's. The contract to build these all in one order will be up for bid.
I can make you all the planes, we have a booming aerospace industry.

I'd be surprised if he can afford to maintain the F-14, though... the USN is phasing all F-14s out of service by 2014 because they simply cannot afford to keep it in service. It is a maintenance nightmare.

Kahta: Scarp all those fighters and use naval versions of the CFF-5C Dragon Pearl and CFF-5E Double Dragon as your fighters, they can do the job of the F14s, EA-6s and F/A-18s but far far better and are a lot cheaper to maintain and operate.
Also how about a apir of custom vessels? i'm looking into biulding some of my own (to replace my various different bought ones) and you could be in time to get into the scheme as an investor.
Or just ignore me but replace the EA6Bs with EA-18 Growlers and the F14s with F/A-18E super hornets.

Kahta - wait until Attica and its associates are finished designing the AF-100. It will be the most advanced MODERN-TECH carrier-take off fighter when it is done.

Nope they are just basically a cross between an F-22 and the JSF project (ripping features from both entries but not the vtol part) with a few extra bells and whistles, Sam gok (the original creator from whom i licensed the design) does have a space version but mine as strictly modern (although perhaps verging on tommorrow).

Actually my first choice as a name for a country was Kata, one that I made up for a school project. That was taken so I changed it to Kahta. It is pronounced the same way, just differnt spelling. If I knew it was I name already I would not have taken it.

A carrier costs 1/4 billion a year to maintain
That's in excess of 1 billion in 4 years.
The F-14's I am using are budgeted at $5 Million a year each. I am old enough to have an aircraft carrier. Besides I run a yearly surplus of about 45 Billion.
I have enough money in my budget to afford an aircraft carrier or 2 every year. Interest alone brings in $13.79 billion (I collect 5% interest on my cash pile, this represents the return on the money which is used to loan money for mortgages to the citizens of Kahta. We also have income from the sale of Oil to our own people, and the sale of cars to our people. In total income taxes which are 25%, and enterprise tax which is 10%, account for 123 Billion a year... or 76% of my revenues.
