Announcement

08-09-2003, 19:22
The Batavian Soviet Socialist Republic shall begin testing Nuclear Weapons in our test area on the Gulf Coast. We plan to do mostly underground test but will detoniate 4 20 MegaTon devices on the ground, and 2 air burst of 40 Megatons.

We do this to ensure the reliability of our Nuclear Stock Pile.

The Supreme Soviet
Batavian Soviet Socialist Republic.

Xexo will condone this effort, and wish to know if, after tests are complete, we may do an above-ground test of the Shin-Rikai, our newest WMD, at the site. (No, we won't tell you what it is, you may see for yourself at the test.)

The Batavian Soviet Socialist Republic does not wish to interfear with any test conducted by other nations. We support your test as well.

could i ask you how a 6million population country acquired nucleur weapons??

(this is an ongoing debate in NS.....and many countries may very well say you are god-modding for saying you have them)

Edit: to clarify....i am not necessarily against your nuke-tests (although i have to agree with jaratia)....but i am giving you a warning of what may be soon to come from other nations....

Underground?Do you want to take out a nice chink of your land?

If you do it underground, you'll have lost a nice chunk of your nation.

The weapons are surplus which we had first picking when a very large nation broke up. Our land is bigger than most think but it is still rather small. Most weapons are very old therefore we want to test a few (25% of the arsonal) to see how viable they are. We do not have as many weapons as it seems.

(OOC: For god's sake, it's fictional, and in order to form a nation nowadays it's prereq to have a nuclear stockpile. Mine was a little big when I first declared I was selling off two hundred thousand fission bombs. Still, new nations can and should have nukes, although limits should be put on how many.)

The Shin-Rikai is not a nuclear weapon.

If you do not wish to loan us the land to test on, we accept that. We just figured if you had a nice test facility, we could use it for one test of our weaponry.

We did not understand the question but now we do. No permission is denied to test on Batavian territory.

We thank you, and the first public Shin-Rikai test shall take place at 1200 hours on Wednesday (unless a more convinient time can be suggested by the Batavian government).

Our nation does not permit you to test aerial detonations, as the fallout could harm other countries.

If you are gonna test, do it on or under your own soil.

Your concerns will be taken up by the Supreme Soviet next fall, for now, we still plan on testing a Nuclear Weapon either underground, at ground level or in the air.

Indra Prime supports Freedom Country on this matter. A nuclear Detonation above ground may very well be met with hostility from outside nations. We do not want to see that occur since we are fighters for peace. Might we suggest a different alternative. We can sell you some supercomputers that can be used to simulate the detonation of these Nulcear weapons. We have nuclear power but we still have not, to this date, tested one Nulcear Weapon. We urge you not to.

Please pay attention to the offer for super computers. As a fellow nation in the Ozarks region, the Federation of North Arkansas would be directly effected by an air blast and thus we protest your plans for such a test. the offer for super computers is a win win situation.

We, along with Indra and Freedom, are highly against any atmospheric or non-ground based testing of a nuclear device. Any fallout that affects my country and we shall hold you responsible.

Xexo would allow an above-ground test to be held in our facility, although it is probably not as advanced as yours, Batavia. That is why we requested to hold our test at your facility.

If you still wish to hold the test, you may use our soil.

Xeno, a word of warning if you will. The International community will NOT be pleased with a nuclear weapons test disclosed or undisclosed. Seismic monitors around the world are monitoring the locations of any blasts and have gotten pretty accurate.

Diplomat to Batavian: "The Aorian Surgeon General does not condone the actions of Batavian. The executive council does not want the tests done either, and Congress is expected to make a law regarding this according to foreign affairs. We suggest you do not taint your earth or ruin your air until we have made the appropriate decision."

First off,
No nation with a population of 6 million can afford nuclear weapons.
The cost to produce them is astronomical.
Second, above ground testing is STRICTLY forbidden by the UN.
Above-ground testing of nuclear weapons constitutes an act of war.

The reason for this is the fall-out of such weapons can travel many miles into your neigbors lands.

Test them...(if you can afford them)...wich with 6 mill......you cant.
But do it below ground..other wise you will be destroyed.

We can sell you a supercomputer for 250 Million apiece. They can do virtual realtime analysis and live data from the simulnuke. These SCs can do alot of data transfer and they WILL give you accurate results. The more you buy the better data you get.
