Helicopter Production line closing, taking last orders.

08-09-2003, 17:44
Royal Kahtani Aeronautics has for over three and a half decades been producing license built copies of the Sea King Helicopter in various upgraded forms for all branches of the Kahtani military. Following the decision by the government to finally replace the design with a modified
S-92 the production facilites for the current Sea King will close shortly.
Before this however the MoD has approved limited exports of the Sea King in a special edition series.

Naval version:

The antisubmarine version has a genuine all-weather capability and a fully-proven navigational and attack system. But it is not a truly amphibious vehicle, in that any length of time spent in water would irrevocably damage some items of equipment on the hull. It is therefore only designed to land on water in an emergency, the boat-type hull being guaranteed watertight for 15 minutes. The two lateral sponsons contain flotation bags to improve buoyancy. Standard ASW equipment includes two marker buoys, four smoke floats, four Mk.44 homing torpedoes or four depth charges. The Sea King can also carry out missions against surface vessels with up to two antiship missiles.

Commando version

The Commando version is a capable all weather helicopter that allows for complete all weather capability. It can carry up to 24 troops and can be armed with two pintle mounted .50 cal machineguns. It specialises in operations over water with the ability to withstand 10 minutes of flating before sinking in emergency situations. The rotors and tail are foldable for carrier use.

25 of each

No, make that 25 Commando's and 50 Sea Versions
08-09-2003, 17:49
Confirmed. These are truely reliable helicopters. They may lack hi tech gadgets and other such nonsense but you really cant't beat 'em for ruggedness and reliability.
08-09-2003, 17:51
I currently use the rugged and reliable KA-27 for my naval jobs, so no worries there.

These are going into storage and upgrading (no-offence, but I have some gadgets to put on it)

And the KA-27 works brilliantly with our Rotary Torpedo Launcher which lets us carry more torpedoes tha ever before.

The Kingdom of Crookfur will order 100 naval and 125 commando version
the total bill of $1billion has been wired.
08-09-2003, 19:19
30 Commando helicopters, if only because the body style is preferred. There is room for upgrade on all versions, but the Commando seems most worthy.

+C120mil has been wired.
08-09-2003, 21:05
All orders confirmed.

We hvae selected United Elias as our joint venture partner with Freedom Country to provide only countermeasures.
08-09-2003, 21:07
Ok

I have a pretty lean Rotary Torpedo Launcher, capable of holding 3 torpedoes each, and 2 could be fitted.

This would allow more than double the torpedoes.

But I suppose I can only do countermeasures, so I will dig out the radar scrambling pods again.....
08-09-2003, 21:10
We will consider the rotary launcherfor the Naval version but we insist on doing the rest ofthe armaments.
08-09-2003, 21:16
Ok

The countermeasures include:

Chaff pod
ECM Jamming
EMP Jamming sytem
Radar illusive pod, which releases special strips which reflect the radar beams in all directions, therefore thouroughly confusing all radar's, includng that of a missile.
These are the standard, we will work on more.

WHICH MAKES ME WANNA DO MORE THAN JUST THE GODDAMN COUNTERMEASURES

Damn, I always get kicked out the good projects......

last time I got made to do the LANDING GEAR
08-09-2003, 21:40
Ill take 10.
08-09-2003, 21:52
DT: 10 of what?

FC: well in order to justify 20% you can do the landing gear and the fuel system as well.
09-09-2003, 01:12
100 of each.
09-09-2003, 01:12

Seakings for my collection.
09-09-2003, 01:21
I'll take 10 Sea Kings and 5 Commandos
09-09-2003, 12:37
Ok

I will do the landing gear made of titanium (rust and abrasive proof) with 4 springs per wheel (allows for tough landings).

The fuel systems will allow for hge RPM (whatever the helo can handle).

And I have said about the counter measures.
