OOC: My nation is a future tech/space nation. Our technological capabilities are 24th Century equivilant. The whole structure of the nation is based upon the United Federation of Planets from Star Trek.
IC: Today the newly formed Starfleet headquarters announced that it has begun construction of the first vessels that will make up the Federation space fleet. The building schedule states that all vessels should be completed with in 20 years (NS Time, obviously). Along with the building schedule Starfleet headquarters also released the following information on the new vessels.

The fleet will be comprised of 4 Saber-class Destroyers:

- USS Saber
- USS Zhukov
- USS Einstein
- USS Centauri

The Saber-class is also outfitted with class-4 Shields with an output of 250 Megawatts of shield power per generator. There are five shield generators. The Saber-class also carries Two Type-6 Shuttlecraft and 7 subspace anti-matter mines.

Vessels are currently not for sale, as the Federation does not have the facilities to meet any foreign demand for these vessesl as yet.

This is true. My nation is "starting" in the 24th Century with that equivilant of technology.

Of course, that doesn't seem fair to all us nations who have huge pops with modern tech. You have to have time to research this technoligy. UNLESS; another nation has given you funding to work with this.

As said in my original post my nation is based on the United Federation of Planets from Star Trek, we're a future tech/space nation. From what I understand ( I have another older nation as well ) starting with future tech is acceptable.

Eithiotopia he can't RP with you as a modern nation, so I don't see how it's unfair. He can't use this to effect you in any way, so you shouldn't really care.

Also, he still can't build a dozen Soverign star ships that are supplemented by a fleet of Galaxies (your tech doesn't effect the amount of materials and money that you have), so he wont negatively effect currently existing space nations.

I also RP as Talaax. I just got somewhat bored of modern tech so I created a new nation with future tech. I was also thinking about creating a medievil tech nation, but there aren't many of them out there so I decided against it.

Yeah. I don't mind, he's keeping his fleet all small stuffs, not friggin' Sovereigns or things like that.

In a few years we hope to be building our own spacefleet as our first FTL journey took place ... today.

You'll want our prototype WISP scout fighters. Little armorment, but can reach speeds of 6000 MPH. ( with Extra fuel cells for longer runs, It can only reach about 5500.)
