I don't know, this all seems a little premptive to me, why don't you just try negociation without the gun, so to speak?

The ship we are sending happens to be the flagship of our navy (shown in the above picture way in the background, an Iowa class battleship). According to our rules, whenever we send the flagshipout it must be accompanied by 4 small 1 or 2 man speed boats with a M2 .50 cal machinegun (shown above) to defend against USS Cole type attacks. and the following forces to defend it against agression...

Is this true? If so can you link it, beleive me when I say that Iuthia will support your nation should this be the case.

We have recently started an Defence Treaty in which all the members are protected against WMD providing they don't build WMD or have WMD and if they do have WMD they are willing to dismantle them (Details in link below).

Treety or not, Iuthia is highly opposed to nations who are willing to use WMD lightly, a nation supporting terrorism is one thing, but if they are threatening people with WMD then Iuthia is happy to assist.

Thats only the imperial fleet, the second largest fleet (after the Neonic Fleet, the fleet that protects the Borders of Neo Earth).

About my navy:

Though it recieves a small portion of funds, at one point, it recieved 70% funds for a while. So now the funds are to maintain it, and update it.

i am preparing the mediteranean fleet for departure to Neo's shores to help aid and protect in this "war on terror"

Around 1k miles off the terristanian coast, A group of tank boats, destroyers, and artillery boats gather in a fairly tight area, the tank boats running patrols around the other ships. The convoy had brought along 12 B-13 bombers, on floaters. Filled with Cargo and flying at around 40,000 feet, these planes will fly over the terristanian capital and drop food stuffs, and the like. While we are not announcing this thread, its semi-ooc, an attack on my planes /will/ be considered an act of war.

Don't send the supplies, 2. send the supplies, but land on our aircraft carriers so we can inspect the planes, or 3. Try and take the supplies across my blockade, get the planes shot down, declare war on me, I get my allies to help me, you get yours, and we have a HUGe war. Your call.

Please, don't give us that crap. I recall that you (or one of your ilk) stated that every man, woman, and child was willing to "martyr" themselves for their "country". Be glad I don't shift my orbital task force to your country and blow it to hell.

Since we are BLOCKADING your nation, I dont see what good your anti-aircraft guns would do.. since all flights in or out of Terristan are being shot down if they are not a member of the coalition taking part in the blockade...We are surrounding but have not yet entered your airspace. Of course if one of our aircraft ever got into the limited range of an AA gun and then is fired upon... well then we would destroy it and you... Of course if we were planning on entering your airspace, we would eliminate your AA guns with high altitude attacks from our carrier, using mavericks to dispatch your emplacements from 25 miles away, never in danger of being damged by your... primitive Anti-Aircraft weaponry.

The majoriy of my AA is hidden, primitive units like my Shilkas are used to draw your fire, more advanced AA would then swiftly retaliate, nice try.

Doesn't matter, no anti-aircraft artillery can reach the altituides at which my aircraft operate. If you have surface to air missiles which can reach high altitudes, they emit radar either from a launcher or a base station. Once you turn your radar on your SAM systems will be vunerable to HARM or SHRIKE missiles. Of course if things get that far well, we wouldnt just be using naval fighters and attack aircraft, we would bring in land based stealth aircraft as well, but we are getting ahead of ourselves aren't we.

We should do all in our power to avoid war. Let's just let the diplomats finish peace talks before we take any large steps.

BTW, I should (OOCly) remind all involved parties that an attack without sufficient diplomacy first is considered heavily n00bish, and completely unrealistic, bordering on Godmodding.

So does this mean you have no navy at home anymore?

Not to mention, welcome to backruptcy, even with over a billion people, no nation could afford to send 100 capital ships in one battle. Not to mention how are you supporting them, in terms of resupply vessels. You only have a good economy, our GDPs are almost the same, and we seem to spend about the same on our armed forces(I ranked 2 2xx on the last UN report(per capita). How can you afford this? You know, with out a huge budget deficit. This is really, really impossible to do.

I don't get why people think they should be able to afford more than thrity battleships. First of all, battleships are meant to be the flagships for battlegroups, so there's usually only one per battlegroup. Second, even at the height of WWII, the US only had about 15 Iowa battleships, if that many, so why would anyone else need more than that?

A number of things:

1. About the battleships. The navies of Neo earth are about heavy firepower and speed, but that usually results in not-the-best-armour. These battleships are actually Neonic Battle ships (except for 3), which are more like small-medium battleships. Plus, at one point, when I had a very strong economy, I spent 70% of the defence funds on building up my navy. So I will change the amount of ships to reflect normal battleships and Neonic battleships.

2. Terristan, if you want to find a peaceful solution, then we are willing to meet your diplomats.

My military is larger than your entire population. It wouldn't even be a war, just an occupation.
To say that supplies are coming through fine is the equivalent of saying that the blockade is nonexistant, which is heavy godmodding.

My two fleets have arrived in Terristan. The two CG-47 Ticonderoga Class Cruisers are sailing the waters off Terristan, less than 1 kilometer from shore. (OOC: They are gaining intelligence on Terristan)

Although not yet for certain, Terristan is preparing itself for invasion.
Beaches and possible inland routes are being intensively mined. All major roads and tracks have Dragons Teeth emplacements. The lowland agricultural farms have all been flooded as part of the rotational crop planting.
Major bridges over the main rivers of Alexandris and Guthio have all been rigged with explosives.
Major towns have begun digging trenches, these are filled with oil to create smoke screens.
Guerrilla undercover posts have been set up nationwide.
Anti aircraft nests are everywhere under camoflage netting linked to several main radar stations.
Every inch taken of this land will result in thousands of enemy casualties.

We regard Terristan as a rouge nation and have determined that something needs to change within the government.
Due to reports, although unreliable, that the blockade is incomplete and aid is still getting through, we have decided to send the below forces to aid in the blockade of Terristan, thus giving coalition forces a etter bargaining position. We are certian with the addition of our forces the blockade will be complete. If this escalates into a war wheter we will join in has yet to be determined, however if any of our blockading forces are attacked we will declare war on and invade and bomb the nation of Terristan. Also if that were to happen, a much larger carrier task group would be sent in. For now we will follow Neo Earth's lead.

3 unarmed cargo ships head towards the single small port of Ut Yara in Terristan. Two of the ships contain medical supplies, while the third is empty. Navigating through the treacherous reefs and ignoring all foreign vessels the ships make it to Ut Yara. The cargo is unloaded and the ships stay in port.

Captain Hyros stands on the bridge with his Chief.
"Not much of a blockade eh?"
"All those large capital ships out there will have real trouble getting closer in, these reefs are treacherous, we must have passed several wrecks. About time the Terristani govt. built a lighthouse."

A single cargo vessel bearing no markings and flying no flag attempted to run the blockade early this morning. It was warned via radio, morse code and loud speaker in several differnt languages...it did not yield. A SH-60 was launched from a destroyer to get a closer look. Once the cargo ship passed the fail safe zone, the cruiser TNS Ranger fired a warning shot, then a single volley from an 8 inch gun. The rounds impacted toward the rear of the ship, detonating stored weapons and fuel that were on the deck, the vessel continued on at full speed. A single stinger or sa-7 type shoulder fired missile was launched at the SH-60 by the crew of the cargo vessel. The SH-60 then returned fire with .50 cal machine guns killing the crewman who fired the missile. The SH-60's flare systems fooled the missile and there was no damage. The SeaHawk then re aquired the cargo ship and let lose 2 penguin anti ship missiles. Amazingly the vessel continued to move slowly toward Terristan. At that time a single mark 46 torpedo was dropped from the helicopter, it impacted and destroyed the engines bringing the vessel to a stop. The SH-60 returned, and a pair of SH-65A Dolphins were then launched to take prisioners/survivors. However the Dolphins were fired upon by AK-47s and retreated back to the Ranger, the Ranger then opened up all of its batteries and bombarded the ship until it was no longer afloat, it is assumed that all crew were lost as no life boats were launched and there were rough seas.

Hey, there are so many ships in my surrounding waters, i bet you don't know where everything is, it is surprisingly easy to bluff your way in, especially against some dumbass like freedom country.

E-2Cs will now be cross-communicating with all allied ships for IFF authenticaion (although that was always the case and would be assumed by anyone thinking logicaly I guess I have to state it), might I add at least in our sector, all of our sailors know the profiles, the names and even the captians of the ships being used by all involved navies, and would never mistake an unarmed vessel for a vessel participating in a Naval Blockade. Also there are several small military vessels being used for which your reef is not a problem.

GLA units on Terristan are continuing to dig in the thousands of T-72 tanks which are part of their Gothic-LA division.
Assistance with agricultural harvest has also begun.
Mining continues of expected and only routes available to attacking forces.

The Gun Brothers broadcasts a second request to mediate this issue. We would be able to be a neutral party that can hopefully help avoid bloodshed on either side.

This idea may have worked during the Age Of Exploration but in modern days you need to be hailed, state your purpose, let inspectors onboard, and have a code.

We suggest that the blockading submarines in the region begin searching for underground tunnels at the sea-floor, that may exist for the transport of these shipments he claims are arriving.

The fleet I talked about earlier has been dispatched and should arrive shortly to shorten the gaps in the blockade. Anyone attacking these ships will be met with full force of the Morhawk Royal Forces.

As neo earth has now declared war, chellian planes make their way back to their convoys, to return home. they dont want to take an actual side on the war, although as a wide reminder, they do sell weapons to other countries...just saying..

I could mobilize up to 400,000 men rather fast, more than that and it might take some time.
