Well, we've finished with the ground units and are now on to number two. The air thread won't have quite the influx of equipment, but there will be expanded stats for all units, and still a vast number of new additions.

For "cash" purchases, we prefer to have the entire purchase price paid up front, in which case we guarantee delivery, so if something happens to a shipment, we will send another one. At the very least, 50% of the price is required to be paid up front in peacetime. However, with new nations, or those that are in a state of war or need rapid armament, long term payment plans can be negotiated. The same is also possible for unusually large purchases.
We will accept various goods (ie food, oil, minerals), at appraised market value, in lieu of money, in which case we will send the shipment on its way, but will not send it into your waters until we've confirmed that your shipment has entered ours.

Also, a note on trading status:
Clan Smoke Jaguar is more than willing to sell most of its systems to any respectable nation, though known warmongers may very well be rejected. However, some of our better equipment, especially systems actually designed within Clan Smoke Jaguar itself, will only be available to those who have NGS (Nation in Good Standing) status. These represent those nations that we feel we can trust to use these systems responsibly, and with which we have a good relationship. Most likely, these will be trading partners and military allies, though nations we have a great deal of respect for may also be included. In addition to nations in good standing, we may also grant MFN (Most Favored Nation) status to those we have exceptionally good relations with. These nations get priority on orders, as well as discounted goods and other benefits. Right now, only a handful of nations fit into these categories, and if you acquire such status, we will make an effort to ensure that you're aware.

Final note, and this one being on shipping time. Clan Smoke Jaguar will send all shipments by sea, as that is the most cost-effective method of doing it. However, cargo ships don't arrive overnight, and unless you're practically right next door to us, you can expect at least a 1 NS month wait (however long you claim that to be). This is from the time we've confirmed your order or received payment (whichever comes last) for cash, and from the time you sent your shipment if you used goods. Times are always given for the arrival of the LAST shipment, so you will recieve some of the equipment before then if we have to send multiple shipments. Also, someone will occasionally ask for a larger quantity of one of our products than we have available, in which case we will be a delay in relevant shipments as we need to produce more to fill the order.

OTHER AIRCRAFT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE NOTE:
For all aircraft units, two prices are listed. The second one in parenthesis () is the cost of a full package including the aircraft and all associated support to keep it flying for a standard 25 year peacetime service life. The lower price listed first is just for the basic airfram. We can work out production licenses for necessary spare parts, but otherwise, especially with our unique designs and modifications of existing ones, WE STRONGLY SUGGEST TAKING THE PACKAGE.
Also:
All units listed here in red print are advanced units that are only available to nations with MFN or NGS status, or as part of a special deal.
All units listed in blue print are extremely sensitive units that are only available to our closest allies or with special exceptions.

OOC: You are probably reading an older document or soemthin about the JSF, the new designation is that A=AF, B=Navy, C=Marines I believe.

But yes, I did seen some sites/documents say the B is STOVL and C is carrier.

There are a few other sites that listed the STOVL version as C and Navy as B, but you're right, those are all from the first half of 2002, which would make them rather dated. The error has been fixed.

OOC: that's really a tough one, but it would be over the course of 1-5 NS years, depending on how long you figure that to be. If you say 1 day = 1 NS year, it would most certainly be 4-5 RL days. If you say 1 day = 1 NS month, that would increase it to maybe 10-14 RL days, but the NS time would be decreased to only about 1 NS year. That decreased NS time is due to the greater increase in size, and thus GDP, during the delivery period.

The Kit Fox, Stormcrow, and Iron Cheetah are unavailable to you (check the note on trading status near the top). You can get the export version of the Iron Cheetah, but there are none for the others.

For the aircraft, we're afraid that purchasing even one of each would exceed your available funds. Don't bother with the air force, as you can hardly afford to maintain one at this point.
For now, we suggest starting small, with maybe a few M60s or M48s, and possibly some Ontos units for support.

OOC: Sorry to be a pain in the butt, but the Crusader only carries 48 rounds, and has some slightly diminished statistics (link (http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/crusader-specs.htm)) thanks to budget cuts and other problems. The original version did carry 60, and have the same weight, speed, etc., but the original version, to my understanding, never reached production. As such, I finished off the research and began producing the original Crusader design (with the 60 rounds, etc.) on my own, here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=65286).

Once again, sorry to be a pain. If the site is wrong or I'm an idiot (neither would suprise me), I'm sorry to have bothered you, and feel free to lob my head off. :D

The Dictatorship of Bigmenistan would like to purchase-

20 F/A-22 Raptors

30 KC-135 Tankers
The total here comes to $2.99 billion
We would like to note that our estimates show that this order does exceed your available finances. As such, we will offer this in two annual installments of $1.5 billion each. This will provide much less strain on your economy while still allowing for the delivery of the desired aircraft.
If this is agreeable, than we will deliver 10 F/A-22 Raptors & 15 KC-135R Stratotankers each year, with deliveries arriving within 2 months of each payment.

Ok I'll tell you what- take out the F-22 order, and reduce the KC-135 order to 10 planes.

That should cost me about 530,000,000.

We cannot sell you anywhere near this much equipment, as our reserach shows that you can't afford it all. Please keep your purchases well within reason, or we will not be inclined to do business.

OOC: Bobghanistan, if you are playing at 1 day = 1 NS year, you might be able to afford that much, but I want to be certain. You'd also have to have a good reason for military funding to be 5 times your governments total funds. Still, it's not advisable to put that much of your procurement budget into acquiring new aircraft. There are better places a lot of that money can go.

I thought that the 1 Day = 1 NS year was standard for everybody. To calcualte my GDP, I have been using this link:

http://jpatt.net/files/toys/nscalc.html

I took that link off of one the of the forum stickies explaining to noobs how not to god mod and such. Also, my friend is allied to me, although he doesn't play on the forum and and lets me protect his nation (called Keninia). So combined Nation strength is 47 Million People, my economy is thriving, his is very strong. Using the above calculator that gives the following:

Citizens: 47M
Economy (MCI): $25000
Tax Rate: 0.05
GDP: $1175000T
Maintenance (15%): $176.25B
Net Budget: $998.75B
Purchasing PP: $58.75B
Domestic Spending (70%): $699.125B
Int'l Spending (20%): $199.75B
Military Budget (10%): $99.875B

A mil budget of $99.875 Bn would cover a purchase order above wouldn't it? Again, money wired, transfer at your discretion.

ANNOUNCEMENT
We are now entering into a war, and will be requiring all available assets for wartime production. As such, we will have to place any further orders on hold, so the storefront is CLOSED until further notice.

OOC:
Kenistan, if you revise the order, I will still process it. However, you fail to realize several things.
1 day = 1 NS year is not standard. Anywhere from 1 month to 1 year is accepted though. The one year is on the high end and is often used by younger players and those who want to get through things very quickly, like fast research and saving resources.

I use a different GDP calculator, which puts your per capita at $35,000. However, I factor in the fact that armies generally have a procurement budget of no more than 20% of their total military budget. With that, you drop to $32.9 billion per year.
I use 10% as standard for calculating what someone could afford, but that's only because it's convenient. It's actually an excessive budget and I often won't accept that much without a good reason.
Bobghanistan
15-11-2003, 22:49
OOC: I use the 1 RL Day = 1 NS Year. I also use the same GDP calculator as Kenistan. Using that calculator, my economic breakdown is as follows:

Citizens: 50M
Economy (MCI): $25000
Tax Rate: 0
GDP: $1250000T
Maintenance (15%): $187.5B
Net Budget: $1062500T
Purchasing PP: $0
Domestic Spending (70%): $743.75B
Int'l Spending (20%): $212.5B
Military Budget (10%): $106.25B

Also, as each of our orders were placed on different days (or 'years' in NS terms) and the money was wired with the orders, then I think you'll agree that we are well within our budget.

Another thing:
http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=91688&highlight=bobghanistan
We manufacture and sell our own equipment, and the revenues from this are used to buy military equipment from other nations.

Understandably, in this time of war, we do not expect to recieve this order immediately, and are quite willing to wait and/or make any accomidations needed. In additon, we will likely be making another purchase later when the reorganization is complete and the full needs of the Air Force are realized. Greetings. As mentioned before, we are proposing the CSJMI-OHDF Grand Military Arms Trade Contract, which will likely bring $200 billion to CSJMI. However, to start this contract, we have already a few things in mind we propose to purchase. Especially the Harpy series, we are sure that these military arms will bring good to the OHDF.

For payment however, we would like to pay it in 10 installments. We would also like to trade 40 MB-52I Megafortresses in exchange for more discounts. These aircraft have experienced only a few hundred hours of flight, and are in perfect condition.

Lastly, we would also be interested to have the production license and blueprints for the Kestrel series as a MFN nation, as we see them being a great potental in domestic manufacturing.

61x MV-67 Harpy ($3,660,000,000)

We are glad to see CSJMI's prompt response.

As part of the large countract, the first installment will be wired within a day. For future orders as part of this contract (which includes munitions and warship units that will be ordered after the war), the money will be wired on the same day an installment for this order is wired. The wiring account is "Omzian Military Equipments Export and Import Department - CSJMI Terminal" from ZanoBank and other routes.

The MB-52I aircraft, free of Omzian equipments and markings, are already passed a safety record inspection, and will be flown to a Smoke Jaguar air force base(s) of choice by Omzian Air National Guard personnel after we receive the information.

For the Kestrel series however, we are glad that CSJMI is willing to give us the production contract. Another number of 400 UH-102 Kestrels will be ordered from OHDF and OMASC factories soon, under full domestic production (no exports).

Once again, we appreciate CSJMI's acceptance of our proposed contract.

I need to buy sufficient aircraft as to fill 4 Nimitz Carriers, but I am not sure what to buy. You have high prices, but I know you offer quality merchandise, and you seem to really know a lot about military stuff.

Basically: I need planed for 4 Nimitz'...what do you recommend? :D

Well, going for a Nimitz air wing, there are a few options, but here's the what you'd put on a carrier:
14xF-14A/B/D Tomcat or F/A-18E/F Super Hornet
36xF/A-18C/D Hornet or F-35C JSF
4xEA-6B Prowler or 6xEA-18G Growler
4xE-2C Hawkeye
8xS-3B Viking
4xEH-101 ASW, SH-60F, or MH-60R
2xHH-60G/H or MH-60S

Our reccomendation, including some spare aircraft which you'd want would be the following:
80xF-14D @ $4560 ($8000) million
192xF-35C @ $7872 ($13,824) million
30xEA-18G @ $1740 ($3150) million
32xS-3CSJ @ $1280 ($2080) million*
16xE-2C @ $992 ($1280) million
16xMH-60R @ $480 million (EH-101 is better, but the MH-60R provides easier maintenance, and is a lot cheaper to operate)
8xMH-60S @ $160 million
Total: $28.974 billion if maintenance and spare parts are included.
*The S-3CSJ isn't up yet, but it will be soon.

OOC: I'm sorry, but you are way beyond what you can afford. You've already spent more than you can possibly afford on purchase in the last few days. Using my calculations, which are very generous, you have little more than $60 billion per year (probably less) available for procurment. You've already spent 10x that in the past few RL days, so I won't be selling you anything until February. My country prefers customers who can actually pay for what they're buying.

OOC: Well, reading everything before you buy might help there.
The first price is for just the aircraft, the second is for the aircraft and everything needed to fly and fight with it. Generally, foreign sales would be the higher price, which includes maintenance equipment, software, weapon launching systems (pylons, bomb racks, etc), and spare parts. If you don't have all that stuff, which you probably don't, I'd suggest paying for the full package, which will be enough to keep the aircraft operational for years.

With the MFN discount, the total comes to $74.7032 billion, or $2.668 billion per installment.
ETA for the last shipment is 1 NS year

We are looking into stocking additional B-1C and E-35W aircraft, and the rights to those will be an acceptable trade.

As with all other orders, the first installment is wired. But however, for various purposes, we would like to request the "ground-based" version of the F-30 to be delivered as soon as possible.

For the E-35W, licensing information and "essential" technical documents (assembling procedures and notes, etc.) will be delivered via secured digital routes, with the more specific techanical documentation sent by our own group of people, via air with personnel company. For B-1C documentations however, as AGI wouldn't mind much, and as it is essentially an upgrade, the licensing information and the "essential" technical information (assembling procedures, information about munition racks, etc.) will be delivered via secured digital routes, with the information regarding the radars and other electrical systems being delivered by the same group of people.

Once again, it has been a pleasure to acquire military arms from CSJMI for uses of defending the Omzian homeland.

OOC: A few things:
1) You don't need to copy and paste the whole entry. I only need the aircraft (and preferably the total)
2) You need to specify whether you want the basic aircraft ($200 million) or the full package ($500 million). I stated the what that is with the rest of the important information at the top of the first post.

Unfortunately, our estimates show that this is well in excess of what you could be spending on procurement, and even further above what you should. As you are not yet a very large nation, and do not have a strong economy, we would advise cutting the order significantly so it is more managable.

After assessing your economy and budget, we have concluded that this order is still rather excessive, and would not provide this much as part of a single deal. We would strongly suggest starting quite a bit smaller and building up first. The Krackens and 200 F-20SJ aircraft will leave you quite well off, yet leave enough room for other procurement options. We would provide this over a 2-year contract. Unfortunately, your current size and economy doesn't quite support the budget you're throwing.

OOC: According to the system I use, which also accounts for how much of the total military budget goes into procurement, you only have a maximum of $11.4 billion per year. And as this purchase is only for vehicles (munitions sold separately), and only two services at that, you can't spend quite that much. At a time. I'll do a $10 billion purchase over 2 years, but I'd wait a bit longer before going for anything really complex like the F/A-22. You'd do better with simpler aircraft until you get your pupulation and/or your economy up.

Ever since the comment by an Omzian Air Force Lt. General in which he was "Awed" by the performance of the AN/APY-4 radar system, the Omzian Air Force has considered to replace its fleet of E-767 and E-3 AEW aircraft completely. But due to the high costs of the E-15A, including the cost of the airframe, a complete replacement by this particular aircraft has been prohibited, as it would cost well over thirty billion dollars. However, a special proposal has been reached.

Although considered old, the 707 airframe still is reliable enough, and due to the low-cost of the airframe, Omzian Air Force has considered to propose a contract to mount the AN/APY-4 radar onto another total of 18 707/320 commercial airframes. It fits perfectly into requirements which consists of theatre operations near or within Omzian territory, and the interdiction of enemy aircraft in wartime operation with Omzian F/A-22C Raptor fighters and the newly developed F-25A Rapier high-speed interceptor. In our calculation, this could save hundreds of millions -- if not billions -- of dollars.

As with this, the Omzian Air Force -- through OMASC -- will provide the airframes, with CSJMI applying the radar and electric suite into the airframe.

If this proposal is possible and fits well into CSJMI's desires for another contract with the Omzian Air Force, we would be happy to finalize the deal.

This is indeed acceptable, though we will note that the lower cabin space (and thus crew complement) provided by the 707 aircraft will degrade overall capability somewhat, as will the inferior performance characteristics. Outside of that, the cost of the radar and associated electronic systems, including spare parts and service equipment, and the MFN discount, will be $450 million each. The total cost of the upgrade for 18 aircraft should be about $9-9.5 billion

Dear Sirs,

As Secretary of Commerce for the Democratic Republic of Shang-Ti, I would like to deeply apologize for any inconvenience and hardship endured during these negotiations. During our recent restructuring of the budgeting committee, it has come to my attention that the individuals responsible allocating funds for Military Affairs were incorrectly reading the Thrace-Tailtteann GNP calculator. These individuals have been dealt with accordingly, and we are willing to accept your terms of purchase of the following:

10 Kraken DE Class Submarines - USD3.200 Billion total
200 F-20SJ Aircraft - USD 7.2 Billion total

Total purchase USD 10.4 Billion over a period of two (2) NS years. Monies will have been wired with the communique.

In conferring with General K'ung Tzu, Secretary of Military Affairs, we kindly request the Kraken submarines to be first delivered with the F-20SJ delivered as you see fit.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, as we have reviewed your aircrafts and are pleased with the designs and modifications; and we hope to procure more in the near future.

Dear Sirs,

As Secretary of Commerce for the Democratic Republic of Shang-Ti, I would like to deeply apologize for any inconvenience and hardship endured during these negotiations.

The Omzian Air Force is willing to pay up a total of $9.2 billion maximum, with $650 million paid up front. Aside from that, the payment will be delivered in 4 installmentss (one each 2 weeks; each amounts to $2,137,500,000) from Omzian Military Administration accounts.

Arms contractor OMASC will deliver 4 707 airframes up front when the deal is finally finalized and the process begins. After 3 conversions are finished, an additional 8 is delivered. After 8 conversions are finished overall, the rest of the 6 airframes will be delivered. All are via air, piloted by OMASC crews.

Once again, we are happy to work with CSJMI for the procurement of military arms in defence of the Omzian homeland.

Unfortunately, as we have repeatedly stated, we are not willing to sell this parcticular aircraft to just anyone. You may have something of value to us that you could trade, but as things stand, we will not sell those units.

OOC: A general benefit to reading the fine print is recognizing these things. In every store thread, the last post (for advanced systems) is not for general export. All is explained to those who read all.

Clan Smoke Jaguar,

Our nation has recently sent you a telegram expressing our desire for a VIP air transport. However, we sense that you are busy and perhaps this is a better place to make direct orders - a place easier to keep track of orders as well.

As a small, socialist nation our budget is definitely not the strongest, thus we are 'shopping' with an amount of 55,493,500 Tarqysian Marillions (49,944,150 USD). However, the craft we are interested in purchasing is the C-130J Hercules II:

Crew: 3
Maximum Weight: 79,380 kg
Speed: Mach .68 (666 km/h)
Range: 5250 km w/ 18,144 kg
Payload: 92 troops, 64 paras, 74 litters, 5 cargo pallets, or 20,408 kg
This is the smaller cousin of the C-130J-30. It’s essentially the same aircraft, but has not been lengthened, so the payload and passenger capacities are the same as the earlier C-130 variants.
Cost: $50 million

As you can see, this model surpasses our budget - marginally though. To make up for this, I will pledge that should our nation need to purchase anymore craft, we will purchase from you. The difference is -$61,435 TM (-$55,850 USD), however, I respect any decision your nation makes.

Also, what additional cost - if any - would be included to retrofit a standard C-130 military transport with VIP transport amenities? I am primarily interested in a dedicated VIP transport, so litter capacity, cargo volume and paratroop loads do are of no interest. I will try to include more in a 'wish list' when I return.

If this is acceptable, please wait for my confirmation. I am still planning budgetary issues. I will be on a diplomatic venture - without private transport - so my decision,' wish list' and livery schematics, will have to wait until 15 APR or thereabouts. I merely write to inform you of our interest in buying and for a quote on how you would like to handle the amount shortfall.

Clan Smoke Jaguar,

Tarqys has recently decided to 'go-ahead' with a new command: a search and rescue and maritime emergency agency (much like an ambulatory service on the high seas). And as such, we want your corporation to furnish the necessary equipment.

We will be ordering from both the Aircraft Storefront and the Naval Storefront.

From here, the Aircraft Storefront, we'd like to place orders for the following:

FOUR (4) HH-60H Seahawk helicopters @ $16 million (USD) each; total is $64 million (USD)

FOUR (4) F-35B JSF STOVL aircraft @ $39 million (USD) each; total is $156 million (USD)

The total arrives @ $220 million (USD)

Funds will be transferred upon your confirmation of our order and your confirmation will be saved for our documentation.

As stated in the first post, the $24 million is the cost of the aircraft. The number in parenthesis includes the aircraft and everything else needed to keep it flying (well, except for the pilot, fuel, and munitions). That includes sufficient spare parts and maintenance equipment to keep it operational through its rated service life.
