"Galen."
"Yes?"
"Come with me"
After a long walk in to a big hall:
"What was it you wanted to show me, Gareth?"
"This." Gareth took something up his sleeve.
"...Do you know how dangerous that thing is? Where did you get it?"
"...Umm.. A marketplace."
"You didn't steal from the museum, didn't you?"
"Well.. Define stealing. I borrowed it."
"For what?"
"A ritual."
"Don't be foolish. That can't be used on anything good. I have nothing to do with this." Galen said and walked away from Gareth.
"Wait. It can be used for good." Galen stopped.
"Like what?" he asked curiously, his back still turned to Gareth.
"You know that our solar systems sun isn't going to last long. It's already near of collapsing."
"Tell me more." Galen turned his face to Gareth.
"I found out that on this very day, this very year, this very hour, we can "Recharge" our sun." Galen again turned his back to Gareth.
"Impossible. None of our ancestors were that strong, never. You know it."
"I know. But this artifact.. It's charged with the power of Nial."
Galen's eyes glazed.
"Nial?"
"Yes, Nial."
"Whatever you do, don't use that artifact. Nial was the god of betrayal. It won't work. We'll just have to find another home." Galen said, and walked to the doorway.
"My great-great-great-grandfather was very wise man, but stupid enough not to make scrap-metal of that ring." After saying this, he slowly faded in to the shadows.
"Maybe I should listen to him", Gareth thought. He packed the ring in to a small wooden, satin coated box, and marked on the receiver a name; Mr. Spock. An honour-member of the Technomages, but not one, he was the only one who could destroy the ring, and only one to be trusted to do so. Few days later, the cargo-transport left to earth.
