Looking for tips on space outpost
C18X is about to start its first space outpost for mining an asteriod field for ores. We are looking for advice on what an outpost in an asteroid field should have.

From a nation that has been in space for a while and has outposts on deep space We would recommend that you build it so that is it not too obvious from open space as a space station and you can also purchase defense screens from more advanced nations.
as an even more expiereinced nation, make it round, and have tons of laer batteries, add plenty of communication devices and dont dig all the way down

Find a good asteroid and build it on and in, it will protect you from attacks and the radiation that exsists in space. Even the occasional solar flare wont be much of an issue..

Dig from the inside out, since when inside the core you have:
1. Protection from harmful radiation,
2. Higher quality minerals/metals than nearer the surface,
3. The ability to convert the asteroid into a station when mining is finished.
