Prime Tubrin, still facing a nation under servere civil unrest and with the threat of internal conflict hovering over his head addresses his nation. He twitches nervously, as he knows some 970 million people will be watching him live.
"Early this morning a small faction of Mecha, who have named themselves echo01, took over by use of violent force the weapons factory they were designated. It is now assumed that all human employees, totalling 213, have been killed. Soon after reports of plasma discharge reached the Mindsettian special forces, a team was dispatched to the factory. They are all dead now too."
He paused, but only briefly, a slight flicker of worry in his eyes. He was visibly sweating, the thick makeup not covering adequatly.
"By mid afternoon the crisis had escalated. 247 humans were now dead, and the machines had, using the weapons, expanded the territory they held to encompass 16 city blocks. Now, the situation is dire. The weapons factory building and several others in the Mecha-held territory, in the northern province of M1 on Midna Beta, had been pulled apart. As of yet, we do not know what the machines are planning. Please, keep calm. We are their creators. We can destroy them if we need to."
