As at least some of you should know, the nations of Shentoc and Lodel have been at war for some time now and many allies have joined in the fight. Now, after a strike by Lodel at Shentoc's capital, Shentoc has at last made a formal declaration of war.
The stakes are simple, the winner gets the other's country. End of Story. anyone else who gets involved will face no such stakes, but will assist or fight their own enemies with their own stakes.
so often there are wars seen on this forum, but at last a nation calls for a world war. "THIS WILL BE THE WAR TO END ALL WARS" claims Shentocian Emperor Ken Matthews. "I'M SICK OF LIVING IN FEAR OF ATTACK! THE TIME TO TAKE OUR LAND BACK IS NOW!!! PEOPLE OF THE WORLD JOIN US!!!"
all battles are asked to be posted here. if you need to recognize your posts to certain people, mark it with an emoticon. everyone is at war. there are currently two warring factions. The New NS Alliance and the NS Dominion. people supporting the Alliance will fight with Shentoc. People supporting Lodel will fight in the Dominion. Now is time for the first moves. (please respond quick lodel. i know you're on.)

and now for the first move: Shentoc mobilizes it's armies and moves them to the borders. about twelve percent are left to guard the mainland. six percent are put on ships to attack Lodel in a vicious seep of their borders.
Shentoc's space fleet is mobilized for the first time with intent of battle. they sweep low over lodel and attack four port towns before they pull back up into the atmosphere chased by anti aircraft fire.

The lodel president is disheartened by this move on shentoc's part, but not altogether shaken. "we will fight." are the only words he utters.

after the attack by the fighters, lodel finds itself with four of the craft crashed. scientists are moving in to reverse engineer the craft and make some for lodel.

forty percent of the troops are left on the mainland in anticipation of shentoc's coming attack. if they break past the border they'll have a heck of a time making it to the capital.

twenty percent of the troops are getting braced for Shentoc's coming fleet. the casualties are expected to be high on both sides, but Lodel should be capable of holding it's own.

a good fifteen percent are being forced to engage shentoc's borders and try to cut off all imports and exports. If they do so they will set up small bases.

long range ground to ground missiles have been launched and a call to arms has been issued to the public. everyone capable of holding a gun is being given one by the gov.

a call is also being sent out to the people of the world. Help us, please. we had reason for attacking their capital. but their attacking us back is uncalled for.
