Crew Return Vehicle being developed
The SC-38 CRV is be launched on top of a convetional rocket or inside a shuttle's cargo bay. It will has 2 liquid fueled rocket engines to provide the power to de-orbit and for emergency movement. Primary manuevering an in-orbit transit is provided by 5 efficent plasma arc jets and 6, backup, nitrogen thrusters. It has a docking hatch on the top (standardized hatch/docking clamp)and can hold 7 people. It takes only 1 trained astronaut to pilot it down to earth. A parachute will slow the descent and then it will land on a runway like a glider or the larger shuttle, also is capable of a water landing, as it has inflatable pylons.
The life support systems can sustain 7 astronauts for 3 days if neccasary.
Our engineers are shown here working on the X-38 (prototype for the CRV)

8 of these have been in service with our space agency for 3 years and we plan to build more as our space program advances.

bumo for posterity or some word to that effect.
A 3/4 scale prototype has been dropped from a B-52 for aerodynamic and landing system testing, this test concludes phase 3 of the development, hower as you may know, the phase 2 launching tests need too be redone, after that we will beign full scale production.

Evil Overlord Enterprises has two models of ERVs (Emergency Re-entry Vehicles) for use with our space program. Tow of the lighter Aldrin models are installed aboard MIkoyan- the EOE module at OMF city- and the heavier Kosmos model stationed aboard the orbital free-trade space station Heinlein at Lagrange 1.
The Aldrin model is a powered-landing rescue vehicle for up to 7 personnel. It can land on any prepared airfield (water landings are possible, but vastly more dangerous).
Kosmos models have more extraplanetary range, and a variant mnodel is used as a cargo shuttle for cislunar space. Kosmos models are also powered landers, but their larger fuel capacity allows for rough-field landings. Kosmos vehicles can carry up to 6 tonnes of cargo- either personnel or materials.

The finished model, the SX-38B has been completed and we have produced 2 so far furthur production models will have a designation of
S-38(C,D,E etc) and a name, picked by our president. The first, SX-38B is named "Nipple 1" The S-38C shall be named "Nipple 2" and the the 3rd (S-38D) craft shall be named "Navel"

How much do your vessels cost?
Which one best suits your needs? Are you more interested in the rescue/re-entry vehicle (Aldrin) or the orbital shuttle/escape vehicle (Kosmos)?
The Aldrin costs EOE Cr36.290,000. The larger Kosmos craft runs EOE Cr112,440,000. Both costs are FOB at your space station. We can deliver one Kosmos or two Aldrins per OIV launch.
Evil Overlord Enterprises also maintains two Orbital Insertion Vehicles for space rescue on 12-hour alert at all times. There are also the listed assets in place aboard Heinlein and at OMF city for emergencies.

I am interested in the Aldrin to mount on our station for emergency evac.
so thats $36,290,000 USD apiece? 10 please.

<OOC>According to the Quippothian currency exchange, that is closer to USD 110,000,000 each. </OOC>
Since you're placing such a large order, we'll let you have ten for USD 85,000,000 (EOE Cr28,000,000) each, FOB at your station. This makes the total EOE Cr280,000,000. The first 6 can be launched in a little over 30 hours, the rest will take a further 6 days.
You can deposit the funds in a neutral escrow account with KapitalBank, Zurich, until your personnel are satisfied with the vehicles and familiar with their operation. Once each vehicle is accepted, KapitalBank will release the funds for that vehicle to the EOE account

ahh! only 5 then
Five Aldrin ERVs are on their way. The excess cargo capacity in the third Orbital Insertion Vehicle will carry spare parts and technical manuals. Once your crews are familiar with the operation and maintenance requirements of the ERVs, notify Kapitalbank Zurich to authorize escrow transfer.

Will do, nice doing buisness with you.
