James considered the bespectacled science man. "Of course, Minister," he replied, shivering - was it against the cold? "I think I shall retire to the Honeycomb. Good night, Mr. Bankfield."
Ernie wished his regent a good night, but remained on the southern ramparts for another hour, watching Orion climb slowly higher in the sky.
