It's a tragic day in Scythirus today when a small village out in the desert near an oasis was gassed by a chemical agent. The villagers are suffering as they slowly die in pain from the unusual chemical's effects. It is not yet determined what the chemical is, but the country's scientists are said to be working hard in analyzing it.

The Emperor, Krildahd Voramix, has announced that he believes the gassing of the village was terrorist attack on the country. Excerpt from a direct transmission from the pilot of the GloryBomb-1 Raven Unit to ground control.
"Mayday, mayday, we repeat, mayday. The arms and holding doors of my Raven Unit have shut down, and Sample 1121b has escaped. It is estimated that it will land in the great Scythirian desert, hopefully not near any lifeforms. We request a cleanup crew immeadiately, and a repair crew for my Raven Unit."
OOC: What you're dealing with here is a disease that leaves no trace. It incorporates protein-based nanobots, and is something Roania and I have been cooking up in private. He will have nothing to do with this RP if he doesn't want to, as it is our blunder that killed the villagers.
Rukemia: We are reluctant to answer several of those questions as we are wary of spies. However, we hold an alliance with our neighbor the Sultanate of Abadan. As for our defenses, we have a grand and powerful army, national defense being our highest priority.

Recent discoveries at the village have found mysterious foot tracks leading back out into the desert. Authorities following the tracks have found another set of tracks at their end. However, these second set of tracks appear to be created by a vehicle of some sort. Further investigation is needed.

The Commonwealth of ANSWA can have a special NBC medical team in country within 2 hours, if you need. Otherwise, we will observe this situation carefully.
The last of the villagers died an hour ago, unfortunately. We are in the process of identifying the vehicle's possible model the terrorists used by the tracks left behind. Unfortunately; however, the wind has blown away the rest of the transport's trail. This will not get in our way though, and the terrorists will be found and brought to justice. Investigators are welcome, but they must allow most of the investigation to our forces.
We express our condolences for your loss.
A mass funeral and memorial will be held for those who have died today.

The GLA is willing to contribute its Nanoheal tech to aid the villagers who are still alive. The nanoheal system works by identifying and removing compounds and objects not normaly found in the body via a system of nanobots. The devices have failed only once, and that was in early testing, and also involved a rabid chimp, a taco, and a small, talking, mexican dog.
No one is still alive. They are all dead.

Moribundi, United World States, Rylleh, Dontgonearthere—We, the Holy Empire of Scythirus are still awaiting the arrival of your teams. Are you sending them or are you not? If not, we may have to continue the cleanup and investigation by ourselves as we have been doing; albeit, very slowly.
Apparently you're not sending the teams. Very well, several of our generals have just announced the capture of the terrorists. Watch the news for the live telecast.

The news.
"This is CNN. Now your host, Sam Boddy...."
The screen shows Sam Boddy as he gazes into the camera.
"The Holy Empire of Scythirus has just announced the capture of the terrorists that gassed their village with a chemical weapon several days ago. We take you there now live with coverage from our reporter Bob. Bob?"
The screen changes to a scene of a wall outside somewhere in Scythirus. In front of the wall are several poles. A few Scythirian guards are walking behind Bob, who is directly in front of the camera.
"Yes Sam, I'm reporting here live from Jihamed, Scythirus' capital city. We are told that we will get to see the accused terrorists for the gassed village. Oh, here they're coming now."
Several soldiers, armed with Tabuk Assault Rifles lead out a group of bound and handcuffed men who've obviously been beaten and tortured, apparently the terrorists. Each terrorist is tied securely to a pole by a waiting soldier. The armed soldiers step into a line and aim their rifles at the tied terrorists.
Bob: [Blinking with bewilderment.] "Wait a second here...."
Accused Terrorist: [Screaming out a plea.] "Oh god! Please save us! We're innocent, we're not terrori—"
The soldiers pull their triggers and shoot the accused terrorists.
Bob: "Oh my god! It was a fiering squad! Quick, Steve, cut the camera, cut the camera...."
The last scene the camera picks up is another Scythirian soldier walking past the shot prisoners, shooting each one in the head with a IMI Desert Eagle.
The scene returned to Sam Boddy, shows an expression of utter shock as he talks to someone off camera.
"....No, I don't know if they got trials.... Uh... wait, we're back on? Oh... um... well, apparently Scythirus sending a message to all terrorists that they are not to be trifled with.... We'll be back with more news after this."
And a commercial break.
