Im thinking of running a real world scenario set in the eighties with the Soviet Union and her allies invading western Europe I will need players to control both Warsaw Pact and NATO forces in the RP

guess as i invented the RP i will take the soviet union

The Scenario

It is 1982 and the world is on the brink of war the soviet union has been saber rattling at the NATO forces over the Federal Republic of Germanys annoucement that it was buliding Nuclear Weapons as a home made detterance to the Soviet Union the Soviets reply by invading Western Europe this action prompts both the USA and Britain to prepare a build up of forces in Western Europe to repel the Soviet Invasion

The reason why I said Ukraine is because we could RP that it wasn't a Part of the USSR because it is a Large Powerful Country, and there aren’t very many of them in the Warsaw Pact ect for the USSR itself.

General Vacylszyck certainly hoped he had some element of surprise. THe Polish Army could not take on a fortified enemy waiting for them- but a surprise attack could allow his troops to advance past the shocked defenses, which would have been softened up by Hinds and Frogfoots. He could then swing southwards to meet up with Soviet Troops, encircling a good deal of NATO Forces, who would be blown into the gorund by airstrikes and artillery barrages.

It took 5 hours to clear a small line through the NATO defenses. Although T-80 losses were minimal, 105mm guns were capable of penetrating the T-72's armor and the T-55 was well... cannon fodder. Losses among T-55's and T-72's were commo, and the crews soon started referring to them as tracked coffins.

The Belgian force of 200 Leopard 2s are forming a 15 mile defense line from Stendal south. The tans and infantry are digging in. Roland and stinger teams are being hidden in the woods around the city.

American,Belgian,West German forces are battling Polish and Russian invaders up and down the Rhine Frontier the Russian and Poulish Armies have broken through as far as Hanover Bonn and Berlin in Berlin fierce street fighting has ground down to a battle of attrition between Warsaw Pact Forces and NATO forces in the West America has begun its biggest bulid up of forces since the 2nd world war in occupied Germany Resistance fighters begin to harass Russian and Polish forces in a Guerilla war

It had been a restless night for Uri and his men they had seen hard action on the first day and Uris tank Regiment had lost over 120 tanks in the first day they had halted advance just outside Hannover the first lights of Dawn had seen the Russians checking and rechecking weaponary Uri got up and shaved he wanted to look presentable for the Americans a man never goes to war looking unsahven and unkept his father had told him

"Comrade General!" A young officer said
"Yes" Replied Uri
"The Forward Infantry units are roused and moblised sir!" replied the officer
"Very good very good the attack begins soon" replied Uri

Uri walked out to see column upon column of veihicles arrayed on the roads over 2000 veihicles met him that morning god knows how many there would be at the end of the day

American forces still make steady gains in USSR but as of yet are still finding it hard to break out of landing zones in the east of the country bomber attacks though soften up the Russian Cities of Peteriova and St Petersberg the capital itself Moscow has also come under attack in the west troops in Poland have been diverted for homeland defence assignments the invasion force in Western Europe has been fighting NATO to almost a stalemate Hannover Bonn and Berlin are contested cities and France is being used as a NATO staging post for American troops Britain is still undecided in its role in the war WW3 has been running for 72hrs straight now and is in its forth day

A tempoary Ceasefire has been implimented as of the 3/9/1982 and will be in force till Tuesday Midnight the 10/9/1982 it is advised that all commanders NATO and WARSAW PACT use this time to stockpile supplies and move reinforcements to stand too positions
