For a breakdown of your military, there should be stickies for that or at least other threads in the boards - I'm not an oracle.

But, at the moment, 50% of my military is the army, 20 air force and 30 navy....I think. Police, IMO, shouldn't even factor in to the military equations.

Remiesia, I need some advice. Out of all the weapons in this storefront:

Police: well that depends. For a standard-issue sidearm, the Beretta is very popular, and I've noticed that the Glock 21 is as well. The Sig is also a good choice, so take your pick of that bunch. The FN57 is ONLY good for taking down people wearing body armor - the round doesn't do much otherwise.

If you're talking SWAT teams, any of the MP5s. You absolutely must have these for your tactical teams, IMO. OF course for police sharpshooters, the PSG-1 is your best bet.

Guerrilla warfare - what kind, specifically? Open combat? Covert harrassment? It all depends. The G3 is a fairly cheap, robust, hard-hitting rifle that's in use all over the place. Uzis are cheap, reliable, and compact as well.

Jungle warfare: Well I assume you're talking about the climate side of things, and I think that the G36 , because of its great reliability, is a solid choice. Other than climate I'm not sure what factors you want to consider for "jungle warfare". Anything HK is like rediculously reliable, and we all know the M16 series had quite a bit of trouble in that environment.

I think you need to be a little more specific before I can be much help.

Hmmmmmmmmm good question. Same caliber, same accesories available, same operation.

I should point out that the SR-25 is more accurate (can shoot .5 MOA) but that's only with a 3-round grouping. The MSG-90 can shoot 1 MOA with a 50 round group.

There have been questions about the SR-25's reliability in the field where sticking to a tight maintanence schedule might be impossible - the MSG-90 doesn't have that problem (as far as I've heard).

In order for it to be as accurate as it is, you need to keep the SR-25 in tip-top shape. If you do, it will outshoot the MSG-90. However, the MSG-90 doesn't need to be babied in order to constantly hit 1 MOA.

Your choice depends - if your snipers don't mind constantly working on their weapons, the SR-25 is the slightly better choice. If they don't have the time, go with the MSG-90.

I'm not a ballistics guy. What does MOA stand for?

MOA = Minute of Angle

In other words how "tight" the grouping is.

To figure this out you shoot a group of rounds. Walk over to the target and draw a circle which holds all the bullet holes. The diameter of this circle is the important part.

If a rifle can shoot 1 MOA, that means that at a range of 100 yards, the average diameter of that circle you drew is one inch (25 or so millimeters). At 200 yards the diameter would be 2 inches, and so forth.

So if I did the math right, at 800 yards (a good sniper range), the SR-25 will put all its rounds in a 4-inch circle while the MSG-90 will put all its rounds in an 8-inch circle.

Okay, I get it. I think i'm gonna go with the MSG-90A1.

So, how much?

Generally when a vest has stopped a few bullets it's considered to be garbage. This applies mostly to the PASGT, which isn't really designed to be bulletproof.

The RBA is mostly Kevlar capable of stopping 9mm rounds but the ceramic inserts make it bulletproof. The fiber of the vest itself can only take so much punishment, and eventually the trauma plates need to be replaced.

The IBA is the newest of them all and appears to be very sturdy so I can't say how long it will last.

So basically I'm saying that shot-up vests are out of the question because they either need maintenance work to bring them up to combat-ready condition again, or they're a lost cause. Thus, we have to turn down your offer of bullet-riddled vests and offer you this fine picture instead.
