We here in Moribundi's Holy Empire have invented a weapon that is surpassed by none in its cruelty and effectiveness. Using our genetic engineering prowess we bring you:
The Maggot Gun (tm)
The maggot gun fires a heat proof capsule with a dormant Maggot (sic) inside. Once the capsule hits an enemy and the capsule penetrates to their ribcage the front pops open and the maggot is dumped inside the chest cavity. Upon contact with blood the Maggot awakens and begins its accelerated larva stage and consumes all the vital organs before turning into a cocoon for 5 mins then turning into a terrier sized corpse fly. The capsules are as big as a conventional bullet and may be fired from any gun. A box of capsules will last forever as the maggots are in stasis. The weapon has undergone rigorous testing on civilians and is very effective.

I use Tabun, which makes people into gray, crumbling corpses. But this guy frightens me.

Yes, any maggot that can quickly eat organs, remains dormant indefinately, and can survive acid... is a big unrealistic maggot.
The maggot is genetically engineered, and they stay in dormancy because they are dried, and have to be re-constituted by blood. This has been done in real life.

I shouldnt be doing this, but your post is so dubious I felt obliged to comment on its flaws.
1> If an evil nation had the finances to purchace crate of MagotGun (tm) magots, woudnt they be much smarter to spend thier money on standard rifle rounds rounds? You could kill many more people as you can afford more ammo, and it would be effective as it kills targets immediatly. Your weapon on the other hand would undoubtably take hours before the victim was dead, and it isnt even leathal immediatly! They could just get up and shoot you dead.
2> You said it lays its eggs in food... Coudnt someone purchace only one box of magots, feed them on animals or civilians, then cultuvate thier own brood with the fly eggs they will then lay?
Its a nice idea, but it wont float. Similar to my backpack which you strap to an unwitting person then launch them, via catapult, to a destination you want destroyed... They land - then boom.
