That night, Sandman retched for hours.

He woke up in a hospital some time later, still sick.

His only thought over this time, repeated over and over and over, was Something has to be done.

Prime Minister Stanley Ipkiss was shaken; visibly shaken.

He had never considered himself a soft man, hell, he had served with the army for 10 years before going into politics, but when the screen turned black again, after the broadcast, he was ready to pick up his assault rifle again and start doing some damage.

That, however, would have been unhelpful.

So, he shut off his tv and pondered. There were many Raemian refugees now settled in his country, and some of them must have seen the broadcast.

Those poor people...

Ipkiss's mouth set into a hard line.

"There's gotta be something... but first things first."

Ipkiss picked up his phone and dialed for his internal broadcasting department.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
T.V screens flicker across the country and Prime Minister Stanley Ipkiss's face slowly apears.
"Many of you have seen the horrific acts done by these being that call themselves the Dark Elder. Some of you have witnessed it first hand, others though terrible stories told by the survivers and still more by that resent broadcast.
Ladies and Gentlemen of Canada-Germany, to be blunt, we cannot do a damn thing by ourselves. Our proud armed force would not be enough to defeat a menice like this.
So, we are calling apon all nations to overcome their reservation and horror; to join us in a conflict against a terrible danger.
My thoughts go out to those that have left loved ones behind in Raem.
Thank you."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Camara turns off and Ipkiss sags.

"Get people on the phones right now. I wanna see if anyone is willing to go back in there and stomp those fucking buggers for good."

"Which leader's should I contact sir?"

"Any of them, all of them, it doesn't matter. Try Wazzu, Whispering Voices, Chellis, Tor Yvresse, Menelmacar, Thelas, Ma-tek, Santa Barbara, hell, try Melkor Unchained if you can find the number."

The Aid pales.

"You want me to call all these people?"

"No, I want you to find out as many numbers as you can. I'll be doing the calling."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OOC: Yep, that's right, if you think you wanna help kill these Dark Eldar for good, post here.
She weeps for those she left behind.
For those that she will never see again.
And for the one that she just did.
She weeps horrified tears of remembered terror and pain; of a sorrow so deep it stands like a eternal pit inside her heart.
She weeps until she has no tears left and then she sleeps, on the carpeted floor of her new appartment, in her new city, in her new country.
She sleeps and faces what she left behind.
"Damnation. Tor Yvresse must be told. Contact everyone." Edward Black said, slamming his hand onto the table. Around him his advisors flinched.
"My CRO, we could destroy them on our own. Using the planeshifters, we could..." Edmund Hyacinth started. A bark from Edward silenced him.
'We are not dealing with reasonable creatures, fool. Yes, we could send men to Commoragh. Yes, we might be able to win a victory. But these are big maybes. It took 7 nations to remove them from the destroyed realm of Raem. We would have to build a massive coalition to remove them from their own city." Edward put his hands down. "Dean, what do you think?"
"We could send in Face Dancers to replace high ranking Dark Eldar, no?" Dean Gray asked calmly.
"Fool. Only God can save us. Pray for deliverance, for those who are trapped." Cardinal Richelieu stated calmly. "However, this might be the sign we have been looking for..." As one, the twelve sitting at the table turned and looked up a set of stairs. At the top, surrounded by crystal, was what was barely recognisable as a throne with someone sitting in it.
Above it, engraved into the very rock were the words. "Der König Schläft Hier, Bis Den Tag Die Sonne Rot Dreht"
Arielle hardly moved when the news of the atrocity and the edited video was shown on the news. She did not watch, but her Novice's paid keen attention. The memory of the vicious torment of that helpless Eldar pysker still krept into her head from time to time, and this new victim's agony paled in comparison. "But vengance will be mine," she thought. Almost without thinking, she cleared her mind of all broadcastable thoughts before going back to her peacefull meditation.
*This is broadcast on all Meridan teleivison channels and to the colony of Merid as well. The Chancellor of the Federal Council is going to issue a statement.
Chancellor Oscar: Greetings fellow Meridans and citizens of Merid. Many of you have probably heard about Raem incidents. You have also heard about an armed coalition of nations led by Canada-Germany going to decimate their "government". Merida officially condems the acts of the Raem regime and encourages the people to stage a revolution. Normally we recognize the soverign right of nation, but we cannot in good conscience ignore Raem's transgressions against it's own populance. We would like to offer support to the coalition, but we are tied up in the Belem whale crisis. We cannot offer military aide or equipment when we are already facing a possible war. We wish Canada-Germany and the coalition the best of luck and Godspeed. Go get em' boys.
*The message is over and normal programming returns.
Dread Lady Nathicana
24-08-2003, 09:03
Nathicana caught the program while flipping through news channels and the like, keeping up on current events.
At the first images on the screen, her eyebrows arched up, and she stopped what she was doing entirely. Sitting back in her chair, she took a long, slow sip of her ice water.
Good lord ... look at the way he ... She blinked, her eyes widening a bit.
She kept taking sips of water, watching the program ... intently. In fact, making mental notes, critiquing the alien style, and shuddering appreciatively during more than one operation. Still, even she pales slightly at some of the methods used.
Nathi had seen things ... done things ... but she had to admit, this approach was new. She'd even had the unique opportunity to see herself laid open, torn apart, and put back together again, which had taken all her nerve to get through.
As the victim finally expires, she lets out a breath she didn't realize she'd been holding. What was that ... that cloud?
She shivered again, turning off the television and sits for a while, quietly pondering, filing information away in the controlled, ordered way she had about her.
Has at least given me some thought, however distastefull ... after all, I still have Mateo to deal with.
And with that thought, her brow furrows, and wanders down dark paths all too in line with the horror she's just witnessed carried out.
The Executor, Samir Duran, as was his nightly Custom, entered the War Room to see the status of the world. Suddenly his officers began typing madly.
"Sir, you should see this!"
"What is it?"
"I dont know....I have never seen anything like it! What is that thing doing to that woman?"
The officer immedeately puked on the floor, while the Executor looked and the monstrous display.
"Lieutenant, see to it that this transmission is blocked to the public, and cover this up immedeatly, if anyone has seen it, detain them for 24 hours."
"Sir?"
"Do it!"
"Sir, what do you intend to do?"
Pergatorio
24-08-2003, 09:44
Virgil Devol, dictator of Pergatorio had already had a harrowing day, and his nerves were on end, his patience with humanity frayed.
As he paced his blackened manor, he finally came to his TV set, his last sense of release in a fast pace and meaningless world. It was late, maybe around 1:30 in the morning, and he was well suffering from insomnia.
Flicking channels, he came to a mysterious program, a dark room, being broadcasted from within the bowels of Raem. "Why not," he grumbled as he settled into his chair. As he settled in, a scream lurched him forward as a woman was being beaten. The likeness of what occured in his own prisons and military testing rooms was shocking to him.
Reaching out, he pressed a button on the intercom that was stationed by his TV chair. A voice crackled on the line.
"Yes sir," a tired and impatient voice demanded. It was his personal assistant, one he had beaten into mental and nameless submition from his own torture chambers.
"Get your miserable carcass in here. You need to see this and take note of it." With that said, he removed his finger from the intercom box, and turned back to the television program.
Slowly, the woman writhed under the cold sting and brutal sting of the glinting metal caked with toxins. A malicious grin spread over Virgil's face as his assistant came into the room.
"You summoned me, sir?"
"Damn straight, I did. Get over here, and bring a blank tape with you."
The servant quickly grabbed a blank tape off the wall and stuck it into the VCR, and pressed record. Looking at the screen made the servant reel in disgust.
"May I ask what this is, sir?" He asked this with obvious distaste and horror growing on him.
"A rather interesting broadcast from Raem... I find this rather enjoyable, actually. Quite the perfect way to unwind from a hard day at work," the calloused Virgil said, staring down his pet rodent standing in front of him. "Take another look, and write down what you see."
The servant grabbed a notepad by the TV and started to write down every detail as the woman was hacked into alive.
***
As the prgram drew to an end and his servant left the room, Virgil recollected among the preceeding broadcast. It reminded him all too much of his own torture chambers. Such gruesome things had been permitted to come out of their alive that nothing seemed to move him anymore. Just yesterday, he had condemned his bride to be to the prisons because he had discovered she had been unloyal. Within an hour, she ended up looking like a beaten Harlequin. All he could do now was to thank the Executors of Raem for providing him with some brilliant plans for his enemies. Getting up, he started to walk to the prison cells where his mutilated bride to be's body was resting for its next session.
"SIR! You can`t... the victims honour..."
"It´s dead, damnit. However... I`m sure someone taped the broadcast?"
"Sure... why? You don`t intend?!"
"I do. The documentation and the broadcast on a double- DVD. And some bonus material like what exactly the tortures did with her body, you she stayed alive for so long, a psychological profile of the monsters torturing her, a detailed description of the torture tools etc.. Anything. We will make millions, thanks to this freaks."
"But... sir..."
"Do what i said, or do you prefer living on the street?"
"Sir... yes sir."
"And btw... if a war against this freaks starts, we will make another DVD: "Slaying the Beast". And make sure we have embedded journalists there. All the members of the Censorship Commission, a body of a dozen of people permanently monitoring TV programs for unacceptable things, are watching the program.
The Chief of the Commission - who also happens to be on the board of EndlessMediaGroup :wink: - hesitates to press the red button that cuts all emissions on that particular channel.
"Imagine a child watching this ! Our country is safe, and such a program could give him bad ideas..."
"There's no child at 2 oclock in the morning !"
"And ? If there was only ONE I would feel guiltly not to have cut it !"
"Hey this program comes from Dark Eldar, what else could we expect !"
"I know. I have seen way more horrible things. Generally produced by ANA. But only on parental-locked channel of sky TV. In pay-per-view."
"Why not let them show it. After all, it is not THAT horrible."
"I'm not sure our heads would agree. And if someone sues the government for letting this, you know WHO will have to pay."
"Yeah, you have a point."
"Okay, make sure we have a record of it anyway. It might be interested to have this." And he thought to himself "Would make a very good horror film. I'm sure we could produce this."
And finally, he pressed the red button. The program was cut immediatly but the emission was recorded anyway. Commercial perspectives.
Baron von Shein was still chuckling over the Empress' joke.
"They are having a joke with us," She had commented quietly to him, "I shall have a joke with them."
The thought of Raem as a magic 8-Ball..."The signs point to yes, mon-keigh! Bwa ha ha!" that was good.
But he wondered...
Why were they doing this? No one would have heard of them anymore if not for these broadcasts.
Ah well just a shame that this broadcast won't ever reach us since the Eldar didn't know about humanity until we sort of stumbled into them and the DE's didn't exist until after the fall... (unless GW have rewritten it again).
HHmmm perhaps i should create a tyranid nation to munch on these spicier eldar? (unless they have changed them aswell).
A scouting Kohr-Ah Marauder intercepted the transmission. After seeing it, the pilot was unmoved. All he did feel was a brief moment of pity and contempt towards these... "Dark Eldars". He pitied those who have a perverse need to torture. Is not death enough? He is of a generation that was not maddened by the use of an excruciator. He is free of the Eternal Doctrine, but not of the history of his race.
Then he continued on his mission. He did not care about the suffering of others, nor did he even think about it anymore. It is likely that he did not even remember what he saw, it was nothing to him. He is not human, and he does not see the difference between a human and an eldar. To him, they are separate races of the same species, nothing more, nothing less.
Liz Wang sat at the bedside of Sandman. She had been sitting there all night, all night while he stared into space, hardly moving his lips.
Finally, something must have gotten through to his head, for late in the morning he turned to look at her. She had never seen him shake so much as he reached his hand up.
Taking his hand seemed to calm him down a little. A few words slipped through his mouth in a whisper, "Something must be done." Then he lay back down, his body finally relaxing, and went to sleep.
Dana Connor was a soldier. Actually, she was much more then that. Dana was a mix of spy and operations specialist. She was one of a number of top Wazzu students who chose to stay in the Wazzu military with a 20 year commitment, and travel the world to keep tabs on it.
Others before her had been stuck in the first Melkor war, escorted dignataries to an EOTED summit, and watched as many were murdered in Iseus Christi...and much more [[OOC: all RPed areas]].
It wasn't a job for a James Bond wannabe, a cracked up cyborg, a powerful sorcerer, or a giant dragon. If anything, the game was more like chess. The idea was to stay hidden, stay anonymous in a nations own population, get a feel for what that population was being told, and occasionally take greater risks. None of the above could hide very well, and if you were discovered, the game was probably over.
So Dana was human, and she studied social skills rather then weapons. She also happened to be on a short leave...not vacation as such, just leave.
And surfing through the internet, research being one of her primary areas of training, she found the video.
She watched in horror, unable to take her eyes and mind away from the grusome scene. By the end, she knew where she had to go. Only, how would she get her superiors to agree?
The answer stared at her from the front page of the e-paper...the Sandman was in the hospital. The Sandman will know.
Within the bowels of the Pergatorian presidential manner within the city of Veridas...
Virgil paced nervously up and down the cell block, waiting for his ex-bride to arrive on her gurney, strapped down and struggling in vain. It was moments like these that got him excited: the feeling of power over another human as they want to be free, and then to hack into their miserable bodies and let their blood flow out. And with his new inspiration from the Dark Eldar, he couldn't wait to toy around with his new plans...
She was rolled up in a hospital gurney, strapped down with thick leather belts. She struggled violently, forcing her body against the constraints, wanting to get free. She looked so pathetic there, struggling. And she was such a wretched creature since he last saw her.
"Hello, my dear, and how are we today?" Virgil said this almost happily as he placed on a thick rubber glove, snapping it tight around his wrist. He couldn't help but grin down at her once beautiful face.
"Go to hell, you sick bastard," she shouted, spitting up at Virgil, only to find her body to week to produce more than a dribble of saliva down her cheek.
"Well, Victoria, I can promise you this: it won't be a pleasant one." With that said, he let the other glove snap onto his hand. He then picked up a surgical robe and facial mask and put them on. 4 years studying the human anatomy in college just to enjoy a little presidential torture was well worthwhile.
"Let's begin, shall we?" He laughed as he took a marker and started drawing a dotted line on her chest and leading down her sternum. It was the traditional surgical Y shape. When at last he finished, he took a scalpel.
She was visibly afraid at the glint of the steel. If only she knew what lump of flesh she would be turned into with such excrutiating perfectionism.
"There there, dear, it won't be THAT bad..."
Gradually, Virgil lowered the scalpel, recalling the haunting images of the slave girl in his mind.
"I was about to ask you the same thing" Liz said, smiling, "and how you got in here...."
"I lied" Dana replied truthfully, "I said I was an old friend. I'm Dana by the way." Dana stuck out her hand.
Liz took it briefly, "Well, I am a friend. But if your not...."
"I really wanted to talk to him. It's about that video." Liz sat absolutely still...and didn't realize she was holding her breath. "I was wondering if there was something I could do..." Dana continued.
Liz exhaled and smiled weakly. "Have a seat hon...lets hear what your background is."
Shortly after the transmission of the torture was intercepted by the Telcordian Intelligence Agency, it was redirected to the Senate Building where it was shown to the assembled senate, and for the first time in the Senates history it was silent all 360 memebrs of the senate stood in horror and disqust, some senators excused themselves and retched on the marble floor of the courtyard, but it was silent. Not a course word was thrown between the great families, just silence, and as the senators slowly discussed the topic between themselves James Brenner the Director of the TIA James Brenner walked to the center podium.
"good evening, after reviewing the tape and compiling information provided by MPU( the massive computer core used to analyze Intelligence data) we have comfiremed its authenticity, and its origin. So I come here tonight to press a vote of the senate..."
15 hours later after much debate the Vote was unanimous all 300 elected senators and 60 members of the great families votes stood in agreement, funding would be given to any nation so bold as to destroy this threat to humanity, and to report Raem To S.C.O.R.E. for classification as a "black watch" nation
High Elder Ryan Wilson did not see the transmission himself, but he heard about it very swiftly through the international grapevine. The difference is that this time there is no offer of diplomatic negociations from the beasts commiting the attrocities. He sent a Top Secret communique to Canada-Germany, who seemed to be interested in doing something about the situation. The communique read: "We will commit any forces necessary to the fight against these monsters. Contact us when you know exactly what you want to do. We will fight under your command."
An additional message was sent out, not by the prime minister, although it was sanctioned by him, but by a Lt.
From: Lt. Hong Gui Tan
To: The Sandman
My country is forming a coalition of nations to go after these so called Dark Eldar, and I would appearsheate anything you could do to help your country decide to join. Also, perhaps the SPH might be called apon to help?
Thank you.
A message was sent to the Government of Wazzu by The Prime Minister, however:
Although you seem to dislike war and most forms of conflict, whilst embraceing trade, we ask that you think about joining our coalition.
The Dark Eldar, are, after all, bad for trade.
Stanley Ipkiss.
The message was "put on the back burner"...Wazzu's high officials had enough to worry about with the Whaling War on. It would likely not be responded to until that wars end (and maybe lost in the diplomatic shuffle before then).
We will send 2 Fire Armies (100,000 Fire Warriors plus usual support:Pathfinders,Crisis Suits Mk XV,Broadside suits Mk XXIV,Hammerhead Tanks, and Devilfish APCs) and as many Kroot and Humans we can gather up.
However, we don't believe any action will be possible until we can find some Eldar willing to guide us through the web.
((If you would be denied access to an R-rated movie, or have a weak heart, turn back now. If you read this and feel the urge to flame me: bite me, or report me. If you decide that you can properly roleplay a response to this, feel free. Above all, understand that this is fiction. If you can't enjoy the work of someone else, then bugger off.))
(( "Abandon hope, all ye who enter here" - Dante's Inferno) )
From deep in the radioactive wastes where Raem used to exist, the Dark Eldar make a live broadcast to the nations of the Earth.
The scene is black, with a horrible grinning face the only thing visible. The head moves, but the face doesn't quite seem to move in sync, a vaguely disturbing effect only compounded when a voice emerges, but the lips of the face do not move.
"Mon keigh, the Archon presents, from deep in the Warp, at Hide City, for your amusment..."
The head turns as lights come up in the background; the motion makes it apparent the face is not attached to the head, but is stapled on like some kind of mask obfuscating the identity of the eldar beneath. The light shines on a lone human woman, dressed in tatters, her skin pale from malnourishment and enforced drug use. She is dangerously thin, most of her bones visible through the haggard veil of flesh and rags. Filthy, she is, too, her hair visibly crawling with parasites, her face caked with grime and criss-crossed with cruel scars. One of her eyes is missing, leaving a glaring empty socket that stares at the audience.
The eldar raises a barbed whip and strikes her; when she cries out in pain, for mercy, it becomes apparent that her tongue, too, has been taken from her. The Fallen chuckles, drinking in the taint her pain and anguish leaves on her soul.
Turning back to the audience, the figure speaks again, "Presenting Master Haemonculus Kothanas, of Kith and Kin to Archon Mieka, the Dark Queen of Hide and the Kabal of the Fist of Death."
The camera pans so that the poor woman is on the left of the screen, the eldar omitted entirely, and another man, also wearing a fleshy mask, is revealed. He is tall for an eldar, and covered in spikey armor. One hand is a claw of scissor-like blades, all glinting with poisons. In the other hand, he pushes a gravitic cart carrying a variety of sharp, wicked blades, needles, something that looks like a brazier, and other, less identifiable tools.
He pushes the cart over to the woman, who begins shrieking and trying to escape her bonds. A swift backhand from the clawed haemonculus drives her to whimpering submission; she knows her place beneath the heel of the Dark Masters. The vile creature begins working on her, blood runs down her body in rivulets and pools at his feet. She screams again, and he does not stop her, reveling in the agony she feels as her body is violated in ways she never before could have imagined.
He works in silence for an hour, so long that she screams her throat raw, and blood trickles from the corners of her mouth at her feeble gurgles. She no longer resembles anything even remotely human; her body a mass of bleeding flesh and transplanted skin. Finally, she is permitted to die, the poisoned blades sinking into her flesh. It is not an easy death, as the toxins make her writhe, make every nerve in her body burn with their virulence. But die she does, and the terrible sight of her body is momentarily clouded by a vague black mist, that surges up into the haemonculus; his treat for the show, a soul of his very own to taste and savor, a succulent delicacy made all the sweeter by the former owner's tormented demise.
The lights dim again, leaving the grinning eldar once again before the audience.
"This presentation was brought to you by the Archon, in mockery of all that you pathetic mon-keigh hold dear. May you rot, humans."
Oh my priests have long ago manipulated She Who Thirsts too our wim and she would love to taste your souls now stop this or we shall alert her to your prescence for Ceran cares not of you or She Who Thirsts but the vile torure you are conducting(I dont care that I do worse things but still)
Our most beloved leader, the omniprecent Jaar:
A new atrocity is being commited by elvenkind.... We believed that the tragedy of Raem would not be repeated, and then it happens again! and in the same nation by the same Elves!!! What will the elven community do about this? A single elf always gets a lot of cries for revenge and threats and even acts of war against the nation. But hundreds or thousands of human deaths never result in even a single question.. Why? Our intelligence received this transmission between Raem and Tor Yvresse spacecrafts earlier:
'Greetings Fallen, yes we see the Prize, let this day show that we will claim this prize. Kin To kin, and the Mon-Keigh will see the might of the old ones'
Tor Yvresse is one of the staunchest defenders of elvenkind, so staunch that he allies himself with the murderers of Millions of Humans as this transmission proves. We demand to know if Sirithil Nos Fëanor, so called defender of elvenkind, is supporting this kind of acts. And if not, how they can call these murderers for brethren! Our prayers are with the innocent vitims of elven cruelty, of the poor humans destroyed and brought into the warp and tortured. WE also declare the dark eldars for every mans NIDING, and declare a free hunt of this specie wherever it can be found and to those who collaborates with them. Death to the Murderers! God is Great! The street will flow with the blood of the unbelievers!
Colonel Thompson watched the gigantic thing that seemed to have attracted the elves. He hadn't a clue what it could be but it had to be valuable to the elves considering the number of ships coming this way. He also recognised TY ships meeting the Dark Eldar ships.
-"I don't want to miss a single transmission betwwen those two forces he said, even if it'll take forever to decrypt it. I knew those treacherous elves were betraying us . All elves are murderers." It had taken some doing. Executor Duran despite having the highest position is the United Sanctus Commonwealth, was forced through red tape, secrecy, beauracracy, and a hell of alot of waiting. But finally after weeks of contacting every official associated with Acumen, a group of black-clad men came in the middle of the night to take him to an undisclosed location.
As the men grabbed him and took him in the back of a car, one of the men pulled out a syringe and said, "I'm sorry, sir. Your Orders." The drug had a very tranquilizing effect, as Executor Duran fell back asleep, how ironic, he thought.
When he came too he was sitting in a room that was almost pitch black, the ceiling as far as he could tell in this light was hundreds of feet in the air, the rest of the room was just black and gray muted shapes.
Than just like a cliche, the door opened and a man in a dark suit came in smoking a ciggarette. The light disoriented Executor Duran for a moment, as the man walked behind him.
"You realize what you are getting yourself into, Executor Duran?" The man asked in a mocking tone, as though his positon was somehow more powerful than the Executor's, and it probably was.
"I realize that the transmission a few weeks ago is a possible threat to the entire species of humanity. I am willing to do what it takes to save it."
"Right Answer." The man said in a much more relaxed tone.
"Come with me." As he opened the door int o a white tiled hallway that seemed to go on forever in both directions with an equally infinite amount of doors. As they walked down the hall, the man in the dark suit began to speak.
"The "warriors" that you were inquiring about is actually only one man, and he is anything but a warrior. This man is capable of using over 67% of his brain, there were....'experiments' involving certain drugs that were originally intended to allow pilots to go without sleep on long missions. They had an entirely different effect, he is the only survivor of these experiments, he has all the classic psychic powers you hear of, and a few that dont hear of. Mostly we keep him on a chemical cocktail that supresses most of his powers, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and telepathy."
"Than what is his.....purpose in this place?"
"A form of ESP, he can see possible futures, and based on that information, we act accordingly."
"So his prescence here is voluntary?"
"Absolutely, if it werent for us, he would go insane, or die from the state that he's in, plus he is well treated, entertainment, food ,...........women."
The Executor smiled at the last comment.
"Here we are, sir." As the man stopped and pulled out a card and slid it in a security device by a door. The light turned green and the Man punched in an impossibly complex code. The Executor wondered if he wasnt a subject in an 'experiment'.
As th Executor entered the room, his eyes adjusted to the low lighting. Are all the rooms like this? He wondered to himself.
"Pretty Much." A voice said from the darkness, The Executor, somehow unsuprised, replied "I thought they supressed your telpathy."
"Oh, they do, to a point, you see I am growing stronger everyday. And its killing me, do you realize how much energy the brain consumes? Intense concentration can burn as many calories as a workout. And all the chemicals and drugs they give me, arent going to stop it. Even my telepathy has grown to a point that whatever you surface thoughts are, I can hear them. Were I not under supression, I could see everything in your subconscious, I could see into your very....shall I say soul? But that would likely drive me further into insanity, you see we humans are very separatist creatures, my body, my point of view, my weaknesses. I am insane not because I am delving further in to a fantasy world of my own making. Rather the opposite, I can see from others points of view, I can see hoew others percieve reality, I can see reality itself. That would drive any man insane, Executor!"
"Than what....what can you do to help me?"
"Well, I have forseen many futures, all ending in tradgedy."
http://www.alanayers.com/images/action-suspense/2psychicwarriors.jpg
"Than........are we making a futile attempt?"
"Perhaps, Perhaps not. In these scenarios they all end in similar fashions. I have not seen myself involved in anything, not in the web, not in the Fight against the Dark Eldar."
"The Web? The Dark Eldar?"
"Patience, all will be explained in time. The first matter is getting me out of here with you, my name is Jack Grey."
"A pleasure, Jack."
'Greetings Fallen, yes we see the Prize, let this day show that we will claim this prize. Kin To kin, and the Mon-Keigh will see the might of the old ones'
OOC I have a problem with you using this, all Communications between Raem and I are in Eldar, that is a language that the Imperium has had Teams of people working Generations to Translate and even they havn't got the language even half sorted out yet.... as far as you know it says 'Kionash Seim Ma Ner' and stuff similar to that Many of which would translate to as, 'The Sky that shone over Malneath' as a single word.
also Roania The Planshifters I o not recognise as entering the web, I see them as allowing access to the other Planes used by the Magic the Gathering nations not the web, just as I won't see the Web as entering those other dimensions without a great deal of work on our part.
IC 'Another transmission from the Mon-Keigh about the Fallens Broadcast it seems they want us to join with them against the Fallen...'
'Great Can't the Fallen lay low long enough for us to untangle ourselves from this predicament. Okay transmit to all nations the following message
**Standard Message follows**
Greetings fellow world leaders before we go any further may we point out that any force that enters the Web must understand the rules of the web first it is sacred... and so we may deny access.
Second It is an ever shifting place and really fighhting in the web is for fools, or the truely desperate if you want to fight the Fallen know this they will have the advantage they know the rules of the Web to a greater degree than I could explain, they have lived and used it longer than you have been alive. To them it is reality to you it would not be, I would place a Hundred of you against one Fallen in the Web and call it to the Fallens advantage. if this still does not deter you then by all means contact us again and tell us how you intend on fighting the fallen in the web, and we shall see.'
'
OOC: I was given to understand that the DE live under ground? Where the Human Country of raem used to be?
Also, I've been working on a few projects... ok, scrap that, one project that might be of use to such a fight.
Simple communication to the Space Wolves.
Should you Mon-Keigh Step one foot in the Web without OUR permission it will not be the Fallen you will have to face, children of Fenris, but the might of Tor Yvresse, The True Eldar.
Your Emporer is a cripple and worthless, your might is not enough this we have seen, to threaten the Fallen in the web. We do Not respect your kind enough to trust them in this endevor.
I did field a 2000pt Death Company Army against 2000pts of Ork infantry once. I slaughtered them all, including running down squads that were fleeing (all done using house rules). I lost 23 men compared to his 150+
Nope. You're thinking of the D&D Drow. If these DE lived underground, they'd be under attack by now. These DE seem to live in an alternate dimension.
One of the problems of being isolated is that you always hear the news last.
Copies of the original broadcast, now being sold on illegal dvds for those who like that sort of thing, finally filtered back to the Fiefdom. In Port Noel the sunlight barely pierced the thick smog produced by the coal-fired state-owned factories. The windows of the concrete towerblocks that housed all the citizens of the town were black with soot and grim. The streets hustled as people made their way to work in the vast state bureaucracy.
Miles below this scene in a room that had never seen natural light Uncle Noel sat in his dank and cold command bunker. The folder on his antique walnt desk containing the dvd that has caused so much controversy. He turned and placed it into a nearby machine. Television, like most things in the fiefdom, was primitive and although he only saw the images in black and white.....he got the general idea.
"Seen worse." he said and turned back to his papers.
"...by the Archon, in mockery of all that you pathetic mon-keigh hold dear. May you rot, humans." said the crackling speaker of the television as the dvd drew to an end.
"May we rot?," asked Uncle Noel, turning back to the television, "Cocky damn elves. Well we'll soon see about that."
