*This is RNN, Reich News Network*

Ladies and Gentlemen, I bring you sad news from the Royal Palace in Reichsburg. At eight thirty three this morning Reich Standard Time, King Will Thompson II, Sovreign of the Triune Kingdom of Reichskamphen, Russapovia, and Scotta, Foreign Minister and Armed Forces Commander for the Reich as well as acting Fuhrer in absentia Matthew Iesus passed away.

He contracted what appeared to be slight pneumonia Wednesday of last week but was fighting through it. It gradually worsened though and yesterday at noon, the King fell ill and was brought to his bed chambers. News of this was not released to the public as it may have destroyed morale of the troops abroad and at home. However, when the King failed to rise some hours later from what was presumed to be just a nap to rest his head, doctors were called in secretly where they pronounced him to have contracted a hideous virus far worse than pneumonia. It has not been observed before in humans. This disease works by literally eating away at the lungs of the victim until they can no longer function.

Hours later, a respirator had to be brought in to breathe for him. As fluid filled in his lungs and their structure continuted to deteriorate, the King requested to be taken off of life support. He wished not to exist in such a manner. One hour later, on his last breath, he uttered this broken sentence, "Von Licht, catch them on their right flank! Keep up the pace Kirsch! Hit them hard....Matthew will kill us all...." with that, his noble eyes closed for the last time and his head fell limp upon his pillow.

Upon the news of his death a 600 gun salute was fired by the ornamental Civil War brass napoleon smoothbore cannons situated around the capitol. Each cannon bore the name of one of Will's victories or one of his Marshalls who went down in the line of duty. A national week of mourning has been declared in the Triune Kingdom as the Nobles scurry to figure out who shall be the next King.

This is a truely tragic day for the Reich and all peace loving nations. King Will was a good and honorable man, one that fought for peace with all the diligence a man can muster, but wasn't afraid to take hard courses when neccesity dictated it. He will be missed terribly in Akilliam, for he was a force that brought nations together and has been a valuable aid to the Imperators since Volcatius. His death shall be mourned greatly.

The special Knootian ambassador to the Reich, Mat Herben, had come to know the King personally in his studies of Puritanism and would request to be present at any last ceremonies, even if they be private. This truly is a sad day for Reichskamphen, as well as the entire Reich.

OOC: King Will was probably the biggest moderate in the Reich. Perhaps you weren't too familiar with him. His Uncle, Grand Duke Joseph, shall be taking over things. He is a Matty-ist. He idolizes Matthew Iesus.

IC:*Royal Palace, Reichsburg*

Royal Guard troops were gathering the royal baggage and possessions to be moved to the new palace in Russapovia. A flury of activity engulfed the ornate home as men rushed to and fro toting large boxes and bags to be loaded upon the convoy of trucks waiting outside. In the centre of it all stood Queen Sarah and the Heir to the throne, tightly hanging onto her leg, burying his face in her dress, filled with fear. They remained still as the world around them revolved.

The Captain of the Rex/Regina Division of the Royal Guard, the King and Queen's personal body guards, approached Queen Sarah who remained still and stunned by the flurr of movement around them that unlike before, she had had no previous knowledge of. She was truly nolonger in power. "Your Highness," the Captain said softly, "We have just recieved orders from the Grand Duke to..." he paused a moment, still disbelieving of what he was about to say, he leaned in closer so the child would not hear. "To have you both killed as soon as the funeral is over."

Normally the Queen, a pillar of strength would have said nothing and showed no sign of weakness, but without Will, she felt helpless and fell into the Captains arms crying heavily. This caused the little Prince to cry even more loudly than his mother. A few of the guards turned around but the captain angrily waved them off and patted the Queen on the back, comforting her and at the same time picking up the Prince and holding him to his shoulder where his whimpering slowly stopped. This guard had become like a member of the family through all his years of loyal service. He even regularly took meals with the Royal Family. The King had even bestowed upon him a royal title, "Royal Governor of Reichsburg"

"My advice to you," the Captain said to the livid queen, "Is to either miss the funeral," he felt disgusted with himself for uttering those words, "Or to leave as soon as it is over and flee the country. There is no place here you will be safe from Joseph's thugs." This made the Queen cry even more as she pressed her head hard against his shoulder.

"Will!!!" she cried out, "Why did you leave me!!??"

His Majesty, Emperor Gustav Alderman I, wishes to convey his deepest condolences to the Royal Family and to the people of Riechskamphen. It is a sad day when a leader of such a great nation must depart this world under such circumstances. We hope that God will look over and consoul you in this time of sadness and of need. If it is acceptable, please allow us to dispatch a delegate to attend the state funeral, it is the least we can do to show our respect for the passing of such a great leader.

Sincerely yours,

I have arranged the time and location of the funeral services.

They shall be held at the Reichsburg Congregational Church, the King's own church. He shall be buried in the family plot beside his father.

I would ask that all who wish to pay their last respects to the King attend this ceremony. It shall not be a long one, but it must be held to honour his life and work.

His Emminence,
Grand Duke Joseph Thompson.
Sovreign of Scotta, Lord High Protector of the Triune Kingdom in Absentia Regem.

"I want armed guards outside that funeral hall!" Joseph yelled at his Royal Guard Commander.

"I doubt that any SATO or foreign members present will do anything, Joseph." the Commander responded.

" I don't care about the SATO now. We will kill them later! Siri can do backflips out the door while shooting an M-16 at the crowds of mourners for all I care! I want that filthy boy and his mother...AND DON'T CALL ME JOSEPH YOU INGRATE!" he exploded at the man, "You will address me as Your Highness."

"But Sir, you aren't a King. That is not your title as of..." the Guards was cut off.

"Not Sir Dammit! I said Your Highness!" Joseph yelled violently, " Your Friggen Highness! What can't you understand!? You get me the boy and his mother, and that technicality of me not being a King will be cleared up straightways! You know what, while we are at it, lets have a funeral for all three of them. Talk to the folks in Iesus. Tell them thanks for their first favour, we only need two more vials of that little virus and my reign will be assured!"

The Royal Guardsman popped to and walked out.

Sir Gunther Westmarch was on a Windjammer sonic jet headed for Reichskamphen. As the only ambassador on Earth free at this time, he had been rerouted to send the condolences of the Emperor and personally represent the Empire of Valinon.
"Have we even had good relations with Reichskhamphen before?" Westmarch eyes his ESS and Sardaukar adjutants.
The ESS man skims through his files on his comp-pad, "Some vague trade deals, a little economic practices, nothing major."
"So just another attempt to expand Valinon's influence after coming out of our over forty years of isolationishm?"
"Basically, My Lord."
"And does anyone find the circumstances of King Will's deaht suspicious. After all, pneumonia is something that is scoffed at by our medical science."
"Our information on their tech level is vague, but its not primitive. Your Lordship is correct, pneumonia is an unusally cause of death these days. But it could be a virulent strain or a mutation. With the cross-breeding and mutation rates on Earth any more, who can tell," the Sardaukar adjutant spoke for the first time.
"I wonder if they bothered with an autopsy?"
"Unknown," said the ESS man tersely, "I doubt it, it seems like the Reichskamphen government wants to transition smoothly and quickly. However, the speed at which they are moving is something to be said for."
"Suspicously?" Westmarch asked rising from his seat to get a drink.
"Perhaps," the ESS man replied.
"Extend your feelers, Lieutenant. Reach with your webs and see what you can find. After all, that is what the ESS is known for doing," Westmarch fills his glass.
"Out, both of you, I wish to compose myself and dress accordingly before the arrival."
"Yes, My Lord," the men say in unison and then leave.

"This seems a bit odd." Rev. Jubal Hotchkiss, the Kings pastor and religious advisor mumbled. "How could the King have contracted something so deadly and our doctors not even know about it. Didn't you perform an autopsy?"

Robert O'Rourke, the Kings physician, took a sip of coffee and leaned in towards Hotchkiss, almost whispering, "No. I recieved an order that an autopsy should not be conducted as it would draw out the painful situation. It was signed by Matthew Iesus himself and coutersigned by Bridgette Iesus and Grand Duke Joseph. It also seemed a bit strange...his last words being "Matthew will kill us all". The Fuhrer has been acting rather strangely lately...I think the Fuhrer is insane."

Hotchkiss stroked his whiskers curiously and glanced around furtively before leaning in to quietly address the Physician, "Perhaps we ought to look into this...the Fuhrer does seem to have gone rather mad."

In a small monitoring room all the way accross the palace, two men sat and watched the men talk, listening to every word they said.
"I think we have both of them for treason about now. Joseph said to watch and wait and move when best. So we move now. Send the men in.

Back in the sitting area where the men were discussing, the doors were suddenly slammed open as a column of the Duke's Elite Scottan Guard marched in. The Captain read both men their arrest warrants. "You are hereby being taken prisoner by the Reich and by the Triune Kingdom for treason against the Fuhrer."

The physician pulled out his P-38 and aimed it at the soldiers. "You won't take me alive for anything! God Save the King!" Right before he pulled the trigger a single bullet hit the gun and went through it and his hand, pounding shrapnel from the gun into his hand. He winced and fell to the floor grabbing his hand in pain. Two Scottan Guards seized Hotchkiss and forced him to watch as five others pounded O'Rourke with the buts of their rifles, being careful not to hit him in the head so he stayed alive and conscious. Hotchkiss closed his eyes and turned away but they turned his head back around and held his eyelids open.

"A doctor are you?" one of the guards said mockingly. "I can play doctor too! I think this limb needs to be amputated!" He pulled out his rather plain sabre and placed it on the doctor's wrist, not cutting yet. Others held his arms out. The guard began to force the razor sharp sabre down with his hand, feeling the hand give way a bit as tendons began to snap. Blood began to pour out as he sliced the arteries on his wrists. Then he his bone. Be pulled the sabre out and slammed it down hard with a huge sweeping stroke severing the hand while the doctor screamed wildly. The pain became so great that he fell unconscious. Cold water was thrown upon his face and he was brought to. The Scottan then raised up his sabre and severed his other hand. He passed out again.

After this occured Hotchkiss moved his leg behind one of the Scottans holding him and tripped him knocking him to the floor simultaeneously taking the scottans rifle as he fell bringing the but down on the fallen man's head and the front into the face of the other man holding him. They both fell to the floor, one in agony, the one hit first, probably dead. He pointed his rifle at the other Scottans who had by now laid their rifles to the side to hold down the doctor. "Back away!" he yelled as all of the Scottans cautiously backed away from the doctor. "You will take neither of us alive!" He spit a bit of blood out of his mouth and yelled at each one of them individually, "Death to Matthew Iesus! Death to Bridgette! Death to Grand Duke Joseph! May they all burn in Hell forever!" With that he squeezed off a round which hit the doctors head, popping it like a ripe tomato and then he turned his back and ran towards the large scenic window.

As he turned and ran the Scottans jumped for their rifles, two got them and sqeezed off a few rounds at the Reverend. One hit him in the back, one in the shoulder, and three hit him in his arms. He slowed but did not stop as he threw himself out of the 5th story window, the gigantic panes of glass shattering and falling to the ground with his exit and with the rifle rounds that broke through it. Before he hit the ground he yelled "God Save the King!" Miraculously he did not die upon his impact with the ground. He lay in utter agony as he turned his face upwards to see an enormous shard of glass falling towards his face. It cut through his skull and lodged itself deeply in his brain, killing him instantly.

Queen Sarah and Little Will were walking in the garden that night. With the cannon salutes still going on accross the city, they did not hear the gunshots in the top floors of the palace and the subsequent plummet of the Reverend.

The moonlight lit the palace with an eerie glow as the pressed along, the heels of their shoes making sharp clacks along the paving stones in the garden path. Suddenly Sarah heard a grinding crunch under her foot. It was glass. She scanned the area seeing the glass all accross the garden. She picked up the little Prince so as he would not be cut and walked forward to see what had happened. She looked up and saw the broken window on the fifth floor, most of the glass actually missing from the enormous window. She crunched her way along the path until she caught sight of something gleaming in the moonlight, something in the huge array of bushes. She moved a few branches aside and stared on in horror at the bloody mutilated corpse of Reverend Hotchkiss. The gleaming was moonlight reflecting off of the giant spike of bloody glass lodged in his head. She gasped and staggered back a bit. "Guards!!!" she yelled. "Guards!!!" she yelled louder. No one came.

She began to back off, step by step, staring incredulously at the gory sight, not really turning about to back up. She suddenly hit an obstacle and turned around to face it. It was a Scottan Guard.

"Ye..ye...yes?" she stuttered as she held the child to her chest, deeply frightened by all that had occurred. The guard reached for his pistol and unsnapped the strap that held it in.

"Your Highness!" yelled the Captain of the Royal Guard as he ran to where she and the Scottan stood facing eachother. The Scottan resnapped his pistol strap and glared menacingly at the Queen before turning to address the Captain of the Guard.

"I was just...err...coming to see if the Queen was alright." the Scottan muttered unconvincingly.

The Captain of the Guard stared at him suspiciously and reluctantly motioned with his hand for the man to leave. Queen Sarah hugged him and hid in his side for protection. "Thankyou Mark!" she sighed. "I thought he was going to kill me!"

"He probably was." Mark whispered into her ear. "You need to get out of here as soon as you can. I am placing a regiment of the Guard with you at all times. You will be safe as long as I can help it. But at the rate it's going, I think I may be the next of the King's associates to go."

A column of Scottans came out from under an awning, glaring at the Captain of the Guard and the remnants of the Royal Family as they picked up the body of Hotchkiss, threw it on a litter and carryed it away.

"Joseph will try to cover this up. I don't know exactly what happened, but I have a hunch he was behind it" Mark Whispered. "Come with me, we are going back to your room. It isn't safe out here, I am only one man, and likely a black dot is next to my name as well."

His real name was Werner von Stuttangurt, but he had been a mole in the Reichskamphen government for years under his assumed name and his assumed cover. Now his well-placed ears had hard of the incident last night involving the Queen and the Scottan Guard, and he had received a new directive from his masters. He had appealed to see the queen, and then alerted his masters of the attack.
The response had been to reveal his identity, and offer the Queen sanctuary in Valinon. It was a desparate plan, one that would reveal his ties and mean he would have to leave Reichskamphen.
Now, Otto von Kramer, awaited to see if Queen Sarah would listen to his desparate plea.

Otto von Kramer waits for Queen Sarah to see him.
"They must let me see her," he mumbles to himself, "it involves the fate of herself and her child."
He had been exercising every trick he knew to try and get an audience with the Queen. And he had also been making the necessary preparations to take her safely away from the swirling fire Reichskamphen was becoming.
Kramer paces his small, cramped office, then stops and calls his secretary.
"Cancel all appointments."
"Yes, Mr. Kramer," he watches her leave then returns to his pacing. Fervently hoping his request at an emergency audience is granted.

Kramer feels himself tense at the entrance of the Scottan guard. He'd felt that rush, and wondered that if it had come down to it, he would have enjoyed taking the Scottan on. His ESS training was getting rusty these days, and nothing snapped old skills into place like live practice.
He watches the Scottan leave, then summons his secretary again.
"Get me the Captain of the Royal Guard, tell him it is urgent," the secretary nods. Kramer wonders about her, his ruthless candidate interview had led him to believe he could have weeded out any moles. But in these times, who could be completely sure. He made a mental note to fire her and then ensure she disappeared, and to compose a new advertisement for a new secretary.

"This is a portable dampening field, and it will ensure this conversation never leaves this room. As you can see it is already activated."
Kramer places the device on his desk, "Captain I am a member of His Majesty's External State Security Ministry, attached to the Foreign Ministry stations of Valinon on Earth. His Majesty, Emperor Gustav Alderman I, has great concern over what might happen to the remnants of the Reich royal family with the ensuing storm leering on the horizon. I have been instructed to put forth the offer to take Queen Sarah and her son to safety."
Kramer clears his throat, "I cannot lay out all the details, but a reindition is something as follows. From here, Queen Sarah would be taken to His Majesty's embassy at the United Nations. From there, Lady Diedre Rolt, would oversee her safe passage to a Valinon luxury liner currently out bound of the Sol System on a slightly extended voyage that will return to our homeworld of Proxima Centauri. There she will be protected by His Majesty until such time it is safe for her return. These are grave times, Captain, think this over carefully."
Karmer takes a deep breath, "With my cover now cracked enough, I would leave the country with Her Majesty and personally protect her. And I will not allow any harm to come to her or her son until I am very, very dead. I await your decision, Captain, and I place myself at your mercy."

If you read the news (OOC: On the other death threads..really should combine them) the Senate voted to abolish the crown...this was apparantly done under the watching eye of Scottan Gunsights. Russapovia is close to passing the measure as is Scotta. Joseph is playing on the jealousy of the people to turn them against the crown. He has declared himself Lord High Protector and renounced his Royal Titles. With the Crown no longer in a position of power, it will be all the easier to remove the Queen and the Prince. There are 2000 men of the Palace Guard. We will assist you when the time comes but I will not inform them now. Unfortunately, there are Scottans milling about everywhere. Probably as many if not more than Royal Guard...and the Royal Guard is being disbanded next week. I have a suspicion that every single one of them will be hunted down and killed...we need to get out of here as Joseph as the support of the Reich and he has such a tight clamp that open civil war is impossible. The first priority will be the Royal Family's safety. But he will keep them alive until the funeral. My reccomendation is to have them both leave as soon as the Queen finishes speaking because that is the second her death warrant is signed. There is very little left of the Royal Establishment. Joseph is tearing it down in great swaths. The Crown is gone. Can you help us as well? I won't expect for you to rescue all of us as the Royal Guard numbers around 200,000 men, but can you take some of us with you and others will assist the rest in their escapes?"

Welcome back to RNN continuing coverage of the debacle in Reichskamphen. Today, the Parliaments in Russapovia and in Scotta passed the Bill eliminating the Crown by a 3 to 1 ratio. It is a bit curious that those who voted to retain the crown either fled the country after the vote or mysteriously disappeared. Shots were fired in the Russapovian Parliament house as the Prime Minister of Russapovia attempted to strike down the Bill as High Treason to The Crown. Before he could finish his sentence he was shot dead by Scottan Guards.

Martial Law has been declared in Reichskamphen where Royalist Revolts have rocked the nation. Hundreds of thousands of Scottan Troops are now occupying Reichskamphen and Russapovia in an attempt to secure the power of our beloved Lord High Protector.

Also, Joseph Thompson today announced that there would be no state funeral for King Will Thompson II as he was a traitor to the Reich and deserved a pauper's grave instead of a state funeral. More details as they come.

Message to Reichskamphen from the Kalessin Ministry of Truth:

"The Empire would like to congratulate Lord Protector Joseph Thompson on his success in gaining the power which was his by right, and which he most wholeheartedly deserved. It is good to hear that Reichskamphen has been swept clean of traitors such as Will Thompson. We hope that the Lord Protector will maintain his alliance with Kalessin and the other nations in Arda, and that our friendship will only grow stronger over the months to come. We also wish to suggest that the minor disturbances now occuring in Reichskamphen might be linked to the elven scum of Menelmacar. Should the Lord Protector wish the Empire to assist him in any way, we would be ready and willing to do so."

"It can be done, Captain," said Kramer. "200,000 is a little much, but given sometime, we can slowly extradite them to a friendly power. However, I will give Queen Sarah, her son, you, and your best men first priority. Several cargo planes are coming from one of our treaty ports tonight. These Clippership heavy sonic jets can hold nearly 1,000 men each. However, their cargo is not just foodstuffs and raw materials. On board are seven of the Foreign Ministry's best Emergency Response Teams (ERTs), three ESS Nightwatch squads, and a squad of the Imperial Sovereign Protectors sent from Valinon itself by His Majesty to protect Queen Sarah and her son. We must move quickly, Captain, have the queen ready to move this evening. I shall arrange transportation, and make sure it is adequately protected from any incursions by "Lord" Joseph and his Scottan lackeys."
Kramer rises from his seat, "Also if you can spread the word, we are willing to help other Royalist flee Reichskamphen as well. Do not worry, th operations for any other Royalist will remain separate of those to save Queen Sarah. And after we have taken her to safety, then we can begin to plan what we can do about this new 'Lord.'"

OOC: Queen Sarah is already with you, hiding in the Labyrinth waiting to make her escape on the river and down to Kamphstadt. That is where Army Group SATO is based. That is a bastion of Royalist sentiment and your cargo planes have been let in due to that reason. Don't make Queen Sarah's escape yet, just RP it half way there because Joseph has a surprise in store.

Kramer looks over his office one last time, then shuts off the lights. He walks out and nods to the six men waiting with him. The ESS in Reichskamphen is on the mood. They leave the building at different times, Kramer is the last. He looks up and sighs, then depresses a button on a small remote.
Under Kramer's desk a small counter activates and begins to count downward from 15:00. The computer terminal has its memory eaten alive by a host of ESS viruses before its hard drive is slagged by small thermite charges. Kramer pulls away, joining another ESS vehicle.
A message comes over his vid-glasses.

The Golden One is secured, and the chariot is ready. We will soon be ready to execute HELIOS.

Kramer moves his eyes in the set pattern to erase the message. Everything is moving according to plan. Soon enough he will meet with Queen Sarah and more adequately layout the plans to take her and her son to safety.

The night (or day. Reichskamphen chooses) was peacefull for a nation in civil war. Roaring through the sky was a dropship, plumeting towards the earth, it's cone shape combined with the rockets firering made it look like a meteorite. Untill it hit the lower atmospere and slowed down significantly.
On board things were hectic. People moving around preparing all the systems, closely monitoring the sensors, hoping they'll deliver their cargo before the enemy can respond.
Meanwhile a wing of fighters was depolyed to create a diversion for the airforce. The pilots knew well that they might die, but "They shall die for a glorious cause. Their deaths shall be honorfull and full of meaning."

Liam sat in his battlemech looking over all the systems wich where on standby. In the meantime he spoke to his fellow mech pilots in the dropship over the comm. "Ok people. I know we've ben through a lot, and that we are quite capable of doing this. But it's going to be hard. We are dropping straight onto the palacial grounds and have to fight our way out from there. I don't expect all of us to make it. So remember this. You shall die here with honor my friends. Now get ready."

The main port cities of the Empire were busy converting merchant marine vessels for the purpose of carrying troops. Escort squadrons were being maneuvered to cover them. In case of unexpected attacks by submarine, A flight of stealth bombers spent the better part of a week dropping sonar microphones in the waters that bordered those of the Sea of the Reich.
This would be the greatest transport fleet Lavenrunz had ever assembled, nearly three hundred and forty transport vessels alone. Reserves were still being assembled.
The paperwork and supply orders alone were a nightmare of logistics.

Unnoticed except from the ones that needed to know it, regular Air travel from DA to Lavenrunz was used by several individuals without return tickets...

It weren`t many, perhaps a dozen, mostly relatively small, dark hair, brown eyes, all with artificial bodies, like it is common in DA, and with quiet voices.

Unimportant, inconspicuous, unnoticed.

EDIT:

At the same time, a squadron civilian transporters left DA, heading to The Reich, Reichskamphen.

A crowd of at least 45,000 men gathered in the main square, King Will Thompson I (Will's Father) Memorial Square, rechristened Joseph Thompson Square at the abolishing of the crown.

They were all in civilian clothes unassuming. Joseph had ordered this mob to be watched. He did not want Reichskamphen to rise up so no orders to fire were given.

An extremely attractive woman, dark brown hair with ample breasts and an unforgettable face sacheted over to one of the Scottan tanks. She was wearing almost nothing. One of the Scottans made a cat call at her. She moved her finger seductively to entice him to come over. The Scottan turned to his buddies and laughed, and approached. The woman fell into him and began kissing him passionately. Then things got a bit more "intense". The crew of the tank had climbed out to view this spectacle. The woman raised up and tore off her clothes, standing there stark naked atop the Scottan Guard. She said "Pardon me a moment, I left something in my jacket." she reached down and all of the men stared at her buttocks as she bent over, about 5 men in all.

Then, their heads literally fell to the floor. As they had craned their neck down, Some of the civilians had pulled out Royal Guard sabres and decapitated the men quietly. The men climbed into the tank quickly, apparantly still unnoticed as they were in an alleyway. The tank then lurched forward out of the alleyway, some of the crowd seemed a bit shocked. The tank barrel seemed to level with the crowd. Then it turned up and blasted a Scottan Tank accross the way, sending shrapnel and burnt flesh flying into the air.

Snipers accross the square who had taken their marks on the tank commanders whose heads were out of their tanks pulled the trigger dispatching most all of them.

The entire mob then pulled out rifles, sabres, pistols, anti tank weapons, grenades, whatever they had that would kill, and moved against the Scottan troops, most were taken by surprise and with few casualties to the mob which it turned out was the 3rd Division of the Royal Guard augmented by elements of other Royal Guard divisions that had not fled further to the south.

Royal Guard stormed the unguarded palace gates and used their codes to bring up the hidden weapons in the fortifications. The ground seemed to open up as 12 150mm howitzers were raised up on platforms from underneath and concrete slabs seemed to open revealing an array of machineguns, grenade lauchers, TOW rocket launchers and other items of importance.

The cannons were quickly manned by the elements of the Royal Artillery that were in the mob and shells were loosed on the scottan tanks, a few hitting near by buildings accidentally with disasterous results.

A huge column of 4,000 Scottan troops marched down Avenue de Grande Armee into the square but the Machineguns on the palace tore through their ranks as the men on the ground hurled grenades, rockets, and fired into them. The Artillery directed a few shells into their ranks, blowing gaping holes into the ancient streets.

The Mob managed to seize 5 of the Scottan tanks and used them to expell the last of the Scottans from the City. Reichsburg was under Royalist control, but for how long, no one knew. Over 5,000 men of the Royal Guard perished and 7,500 Scottans perished. The streets were filled with corpses as the Royal Guard moved to establish a perimeter.

A Panzer Division manned with Royal Guard troops managed to make its way from one of Reichsburg's suburbs into the heart of the city. Artillery was scavenged from all the fortifications outside the City walls and used to strengthen the Royalist's tenuous position.

Reports from Kamphstadt in the south, a Royalist Bastion, indicate that an uprising has taken place there. The Scottans regrouped in that instance, and are confining the Royalists to the Inner City. Army Group SATO, whose base was in Kamphstadt, was evacuated when first the unsettling events began. As it stands, 55,000 Scottans and an Armoured Division are trying to topple a Royalist bastion of 25,000 men, a Panzer Division, and 5 Squads of Royal Artillery which have taken places on the high ground to repell attacks. Reinforcements from nearby Scottan Garrisons are on the way to both cities as well as an influx of Scottans from Russapovia and Scotta itself.

The dropship fell towards the earth, engines firering. As it came closer and closer to the palacial grounds. The enemy has seemed to be a to pre-occupied to engage them or the fighter diversion miles away. It seemed to go a bit to easy.
As the dropship came to within a couple of dozen meters the huge engines started to fire up. Sending flames down towards the ground, igniting anything flamable. As it slowly touched down.
There it stood. One hundred thirty nine meters tall. The huge cargo doors quickly opened and the ground began to shake as a clear thumping could be heard. Slowly walking out of the dropship were twelve mechs. Once they were outside they took up a defensive position around the dropship.

This is RNN, Reich News Network.

Royalist Forces in Kamphstadt have managed to seize the bulk of the Royal Navy based in the port. Among the ships retrieved were 5 Top of the line Battleships, 4 Aircraft Carriers, 15 Destroyers, and 5 Top of the Line Subs. Most of the crews assisted in seizing the ships. Only one ship was taken by force from land.

It was the guns from these might ships, namely the RNV Stonewall Jackson, the Kings Commandship through 4 Wars, that repelled the second Scottan advance on the city. Few casualties were taken by the defenders of the City, but the Scottans were said to be hit pretty badly.

Nearly two armoured divisions were taken out in a headlong charge at the city gates. Infantry in the west pierced the fortifications but was repelled by a withering barrage of tank and machinegun fire.

Initial estimates of casualties from the charge on the Scottan side as being nearly 15,000 in the failed headlong charge and the Royalist casualties being only in the 200's. This is certainly a hideous ratio for Joseph.

Later in the afternoon, the Scottans regrouped and attempted a pincer movement into the city. The left flank advance, headed up by two Panzer Divisions made up of Scottan PzKpfw XX tanks was broken by fire from the Stonewall Jackson and the Napoleon Bonaparte as well as the Royal Artillery high on the main hill. When the advance stalled, Half of the Royalist Panzer Division hit the advanced column on the Right Flank where the Scottan Tanks and commanders proved their inferiority to the Royalists. Nearly 150 Scottan tanks were taken out and 15 Royalist tanks were removed from service. Though the loss to the Scottans is higher, their losses can be replaced while the 15 Royalist tanks that were destroyed are 15 tanks that can never be gotten back.

After the Second attack, consequently planned and ordered by the High Protector himself, the Scottans withdrew from the City in toto but the Royalists chose not to occupy the new territory as it would extend themselves. They instead sent patrols out to gather what weapons, ammunition, and food they could.

Another attack is expected tommorrow sometime.

There have been no majour attacks on Reichsburg today. The Scottan troops all appear to be waiting for something. Time Shall tell. Back to the Newsroom.

OOC: Iesus, lets just say they get through because this is necessary for the plot line.

IC: Mark von Kesselring stares at the map of Reichsburg and the surroundng area with his five division commanders. Commander Hermann Hesse of the 3rd Division is smoking on a fine cigar as he looks on.

"Captain," Hesse sighed heavily, "We no longer have any choice. We must withdraw, this ground has become untennable. Our numbers have dwindled from 45,000 to only around 32,000. The Royal Artillery," he motioned towards Erich Wurmser, the Commander of the Battery atop the main hill in Reichsburg which looked down on the surrounding area, "has performed valliantly and assisted in the parrying of several of the Scottan attacks, but try as we may to disperse them and save them, counterbattery fire has cut the numbers nearly in half and we only have enough gasoline to get half of the remaining pieces out. And if we do that, it means that many of the tanks will have to stay behind. I speak for myself though I would assume I am speaking for my other two colleagues in the infantry when I say that we have fought bravely, but are being bled out. We are running out of ammunition fast and there is no way for resupply. Jedi Revolutionaries is sending in forces to assist us, but who knows how long they will take to get here, and even then, they will land in Kamphstadt and we will still be stuck up here."

Commander Heros von Borcke of the 1st Infantry Division nodded his head in agreement and said, "We are being bled out, sir. And as they outnumber us, we cannot play that game. My men are running low on ammunition too. We have taken everythng we could from the city and I doubt there is much left. Several thousand civilians have formed units in my Division. We cannot supply ammunition for the weapons that we dont use ourselves. Also, as we saw when the Scottans set fire to the suburbs to drive us back into the city, they will spare nothing to destroy us. Though they are hesitant now, they will surely bomb this venerable old city to Kingdom come should we hold out too long. We must withdraw to protect this city."

The commander of the 2nd Infanty Division, Hans Reichsmueller, who had before then remained silent spoke up. "Right now, we are running out of food as well. The men are running on pure morale and as we have had the Scottans running since we began this, it is luckily pretty high. But if we withdraw, we risk losing the only force really keeping our army going."

The others nodded as though to suggest that they had not considered that.

"Who says we have to retreat, we just need to get out of the city." mused the Panzer Division Commander Ernst Abteilung, "We can use the last drops of feul in my Panzers to punch a hole in their lines. We can take what we need from the Scottans and from the countryside."

Kesselring, who had listened intently now raised his hands to silence the conversation. "You are right Hans, we do need to worry about morale as much as food and ammunition. A sad retreat may lose us this war. What we need is a spectacular victory that will rally others to the cause."

"How can we get a victory, sir, when we number 32,000 and have only one Panzer Division and one heavily Damaged Artillery Unit?" argued the cautious Hesse. "We have to retreat to better ground and then resume the defensive. We cannot go on the offense when they have around the order of 500,000 men, 6 Panzer Divisions and 15 Artillery units opposing us."

"It will not be an offensive, but it will be a victory." Kesselring responded. "We must fall back from the city, but that does not mean a retreat. We need to fall back to the hillside beyond. The high ground forms a type of half circle around the low ground where the Scottans will come from. Overlapping artillery fire, good fortifications, and good use of the Panzers could win us the day. The Scottan Army may be large, but it is also slow to act. Half of the Scottans are on the other side of the River from here and the others are too far to the North to do much about us. I estimate about 150.000 men and perhaps two of their Panzer divisions will respond. Once they sense that we are retreating I am betting they will advance beyond the cover of their artillery fire like on the first night of the battle. The Commanders won't think to flank us simply because they will have tasted blood and view no need to flank because in their mind we will have been whipped."

A few of the other commanders pondered Kesselring's words. Abteilung looked at Kesselring and said, "I think that we can take on two of their divisions even in our depleted state. They are using equipment that predates Scotta's entrance into the Triune Kingdom. Our Reichsfuhrer tanks will wipe the floor with them like they have before."

"I want 1st Division," he said gesturing to von Borcke," to halve its numbers, prepare half of them for retreat and prepare the other half to do a short lived charge into the Scottan lines. Once they have charged part of the way accross, hopefully not taking too many casualties, they will break and run, prompting the Scottans to chase after them. It is important that the men get no further than half the distance to the Scottan lines before turning about as they could be easily caught if too close. The rest of us will be on the other side of the city moving towards the hillside. By the time that you reach that area we will be in position and you will simply reinforce our lines or go into reserve as necessity dictates. Take what fuel you have to," he said to the artillery and tank commanders. "We need both of your units to win. I want the artillery to disperse itself on the crest of the hill, camouflaged and I want every single tank gathered on the extreme right. We need a strong force to slam into the Scottans in the valley and eventually cut them off. Just tear into them and kill as many as you can." He looked around at the commanders who were absorbing his orders, all silently praying for a victory. "Dismissed." he said to them all, "Go get some sleep, you will need it tommorrow. Don't tell you're men its a rouse. We need to have the look of a real retreat."

Royal Guard troops make a feigned charge into Scottan lines at 0800 hours preceded by an artillery assault on the Scottan lines. Scottan batteries pour shell and shot down on the Royal Guard who turn and run after crossing only a fourth of the field. The appearance of a massive retreat is given. The Scottans respond and give chase.

Nine Divisions of Scottan Infantry Cross the field in pursuit of the fleeing guard. As the rest of the Royal Army, unbeknownst to the Scottans is digging in on a hill only 5 miles away. Panzer IX's, the main Scottan Battle tank predating Scotta's entrance into the triune Kingdom, roll accross the fields on the right and left flanks of the fleeing army. Within the hour, the remnants of the Division of Royal Guard have joined up safely with their commrades on the Hill and the overeager Scottans have moved out of the range of their artillery cover. Like a scene from ancient times, over 100,000 Scottans charge into the valley along with 2 Panzer divisions. They appear bewildered as they see no sign of the Royal Guard. Then, the Royal Artillery opens up assisted by fire from the Reichsfuhrer tanks. The overlapping artillery fire slices through Scottan infantry like they were toothpicks and takes out tank after tank after tank. Panic sets in amongst the Scottans and they begin to turn and run. As they do so, the Royal Panzer Division cuts accross from the left flank cutting off their retreat and tearing into them hard. The Machineguns cut down the Scottans like hey before the scythe and the nearly semi automatic main guns lob their vollies of 8 shells a piece almost simultaeneously. Royal Guard Units close the noose and completely surround the Scottans. The shell shocked troops begin surrendering by the thousands. Tanks were being captured by the douzains. Food, ammunition, Water, everything they needed they took from the Scottans.

All told, the Scottans suffered 30,000 dead and 70,000 wounded and captured. The Scottans in the rear began to fall back rapidly leaving what they had to behind. The tanks pursued the Scottans just far enough to gain access to new artillery pieces and feul and supply depots. They made off with thousands of tons of new supplies and dealt the Scottans a horrific defeat.

While the Scottans continued reeling from their clobbering, the Royalists took little time savouring their victory and instead marched south where they picked up tens of thousands of volunteers and new supplies. Their ultimate destination was Kamphstadt where they intended to merge the two Royal Armies into one great force.

The Scottans re-entered Reichsburg in a sad procession. They gazed upon unmanned Royalist positions and the bodies of other Scottans who had fallen before them along with the occasional Royalist. It was a slaughter. Half of the City had fled with the Royalists and therefore the army was not hard to track as it had a huge wake. But this meant that for all intents and purposes Reichsburg was dead. Activity simply halted as Scottan troops renewed their vigil on the streets.

His blindfold was taken off and he blinked rapidly, readjusting himself to the light. He couldn't remember much. Rubbing his head he muttered aloud, "My head..." He tasted salt in his mouth. He spit out a swig of blood and spit. It was then that he remembered one of the guards slamming him into a wall face first. "I will get that Scottan bastard one day." he thought aloud.

He raised up from his dank cott and smelled the air. It smelled like death. Death and old feet. Looking around at the Stonewalls around him he heard the methodical stamping of the Scottan guards' boots in the hall outside and occasionally saw one of their black hats pass by the small barred peephole on his iron door.

"No windows...no sun." he thought to himself as he stared at the bare lightbulb hanging from the ceiling on a string. "Joseph knows how to treat someone well."

A small flap opened up under his door and a plate of greul and slop was slid under with a glass of filthy looking water. "God Save the King!" the Scottan yelled through the door teasingly. "Eat your mess you bastard!" he finished.

He pulled the plate over to him and cautiously took a bite. It tasted like rotten curdled milk...maybe it was. He gagged and reached for his water. He looked at the yellow gobs floating in his water and quickly through the glass to the floor shattering it. The Scottan heard it and yelled sarcastically, "What do you want, Chateau Lafite Rothschilde? I'm sorry but we're all out of Bordeaux's! Eat your slop!"

"Get me out of here." he prayed silently.

Then the guard gasped, "Lord Jospeh!" he paused, obviously listenging to something that he was being told. The man in the cell craned his neck outward to hear what the guard was saying. "Of Course sir he's right in here!" He could hear the rapid clanking of keys as the guard fumbled about with them, searching for his cell key. He heard it go in the lock, a slight clank and then the door opened with a blood curdling creek. There in the doorway stood Joseph Thompson, Lord High Protector of the Triune Republic.

The prisoner slid the tray of slop away, tried to stand, but was unable.

"Pathetic old fool." Joseph gloated. "I win."

*Letter to Queen Sarah from King Will Thompson II*

My dearest Sarah, if you are reading this, I have likely passed on. Know that my death is no accident and that no matter how natural the causes seem, I have been murdered. I have been expecting something like this for a while. This is why I am writing this letter. I can see now the dark clouds forming on the horizon. I cannot yet see what shape they resemble, but my best guess is that Joseph has had a great hand in making these clouds. It is possible that even the Fuhrer himself or Bridgette have conspired to end my life.

I am hoping that many of our allies have stepped in to take you and my darling son out of the Kingdom as I am sure it has slipped into chaos and my murderer or murderers are running it. No matter who it is that has taken you out of the country, it is my request that you go to Menelmacar. I have spoken to Lady Sirithil, she knows of my plight and has agreed to protect you. Neither Joseph nor the Fuhrer would dare to strike at you while she is protecting you.

Oh my dearest Sarah, I see not how I found happiness before you, and I know the only way I am finding it without you now is because I am in the Kingdom of God. You have been my guiding light amidst the storms of life. You are my one true love. For you I would give everything away. I would throw down my crown and stamp upon it if it meant that I got to keep you at my side but a minute longer. You are my world Sarah. Though I have passed on now, know that I am always with you. I will watch over you from above and protect you from the evil in this world. My only regret about my life is that I was not able to be with you more.

Tell my son about me. Tell him the truth because there will be enough people to tell him lies. I am not a perfect man. Tell him the good and the bad. But most of all, tell him I love him and will always love him. Tell him to live a full life. To live a happy life. Tell him to take care of his mother. Tell him...tell him that when his work on earth is done, I shall be there to usher his proud soul into heaven and I will be the first to pat him on the back and say, "Well done, my son."

God only knows what state you are in when you read this letter, but I beg of you to do as I said. Go to Menelmacar. You will be safe there. May God Bless you and keep you for all of your days.

Yours in eternity,
Will

"Should the situation with the royalists not be resolved soon, we are willing to send up to a million warriors to aid you, as well as a substantial contigent of Dragons, and any sorcerers who wish to go. Do you wish for our aid, or do you think that you can deal with this minor difficulty alone?"

Joseph slammed his fist down. "Dammit!" he threw one of his black locks off of his face and wiped the sweat from his brow. "Matthew's entrance may not even save me. He is polarizing the sides faster than anything. There is only one way to ensure my rule." he was desperate. "Bring me to the Centreville Prison!"

*Centreville, Scotta; Centreville Fortress Prison*

The prisoner's cell door opened up again and once more Joseph stood in the opening.

"Good day Joseph." the prisoner said cordially, "Any new treachery you wish to committ?"

"Silence!" Joseph yelled as he drew back to slap him but then thought better of it. "Be thankful that I kept you alive, old man! I could have just as easily killed you, but you are my brother and for that reason only are you still alive!"

"Do you think I am an idiot Joseph?" the prisoner retorted. "You need me for something. Otherwise you would have killed me. Don't you think that I know by now that in the first revolution, Manstein was your puppet and that you were partly responsible for the death of our father? Your love doesn't know any bounds simply because it is non existant for anyone but yourself. You are a cold, heartless, ingrate! I am ashamed to call you my brother! This is the second time you have come to power here and you knew that with me fighting against you that you couldn't win so you need me for one reason or another."

"I do need you, Will." Joseph said. "But you also need me." He rubbed his forehead a moment, and turned his back on Will and began speaking. "I gave you a chemical in your wine slowly that made you look sick. I gave you a large dose on the day you were to have died. This made it appear that you were dead. It ceased your breathing and heart beat. However, as soon as you were pronounced dead, we kicked those out of the room who were not under my payrole and revived you just enough to ensure you would live. Then we brought you here."

"But why did you keep me alive?" Will prodded him.

"Because," Joseph replied, "things like those that are happening now could easily occur."

"And What is occuring?" Will continued to press hiim.

Joseph sighed and reluctantly answered him. "There is a full scale revolution and outside forces are being drawn in. The Reich is divided heavily on this issue and huge coalitions are forming. Iesus is involved. And now, they seem to know that you are alive. We need to stop the killing, Will. You may have no love for me, Will, but you love your people, we all know that. You need to address them and tell the rebels to lay down their arms, tell them to respond to ceasefire offers, anything. We must avoid a large scale war."

"Joseph," Will said to him, seeing through him immediately, "you wan't a war with SATO just as much as Matthew does. You just don't want it on your soil. It could threaten your power. You would sacrifice every one of my people if it would further aggrandize you!"

The RNN news anchor placed her hand upon her earpiece, pressing it in closer so she could better hear what was being told to her. An expression of shock came accross her face. "Ladies and Gentlemen!" she exclaimed, "We supposedly have a tape of King Will addressing the revolutionaries. No confirmation of whether or not it is fake or not, but seeing that Will is supposedly dead, it stands to reason that it may be a fabrication of propaganda. Here we go to the tape."

King Will appeared in the centre of a black screen, worn down with a couple of bruises on his face. "I would like to speak now to those who are fighting for the restoration of the crown." he said slowly. "It is now imperative that the fighting cease. Brother is killing brother now for no reason. Let us resolve to stand behind whomever the current leader is now and cease our fighting. Only through unity can we vanquish our common demons!"
The Screen then went completely blank.
The anchor then commented, "He didn't mention any dates. If it is him and not a double, then it could well have been made before his death like the series of letters that have begun to circulate. Perhaps he could forsee the current strife and wished for its end. Intelligence people will be scrutinizing this video. The results will be reported when we know of them."

This is RNN

As a result of the King's appearance, instead of the rebels laying down their arms, they are emboldened. They cry, "For Will!" as they charge into battle.

Further uprisings have occurred even in the less Royal friendly Oberhausen. All accross Reichskamphen and Russapovia, every majour city rises in revolt against Joseph. even parts of Southern Scotta rise up. There is no definitive front line in any of these situations as control over territory is patchy at best. The Scottans are struggling with their last ounce of energy just to contain the revolt. For now Scottan lines are holding.

Joseph seems to be in a tough position. An aide in his office admitted earlier today that King Will was infact among the living. This caused the rebels to rejoice as they fight even harder. Joseph himself later took this back and claimed the man who had spoken the words was a traitor and a liar.

Then, tonight, this video was released confirming that King Will WAS alive.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The same image as before, the black screen with the King in the centre. The King speaks. "Citizens of the Triune...Rep.." he then spits and says. "This is not a republic! Joseph is a usurper! Fight him! Give my son what is his!" The image of gun could then be seen coming from the right side of the screen. The King did not wince or grit his teeth but bravely stared forward. "I love you Sarah." he said just before the trigger was pulled. The entire left side of his head seemed to explode splattering grey matter onto the camera lens.
------------------------------------------------------------
Joseph has denied that the man murdered here was King Will and claims that it is a foul Royalist trick to remove him from his rightful place of power.
------------------------------------------------------------
*Centreville, Scotta; Centreville Fortress Prison, hours before Joseph's response to the video*

"Burn that tape!" Joseph yelled as he dropped the gun from his hand and wiped the blood off of his new suit. "And get rid of the body."

Joseph stormed out of the room with his entourage. The lone Scottan guard cleaning the mess took the tape from the photographer, vowing to burn it himself. He walked to the computers reserved for Scottan Guards and emailed the video to RNN.

As he took his gloves off to type the message, the crown and swords of the Royal Guard tattoed upon his wrist was evident.

It was night in Eastern Russapovia. The skies were clear, and the moon and stars shone brightly in the heavens, smiling benignly upon the wartorn land of Reichskamphen. Then, with surprising speed, they were blocked out completely by a thick layer of cloud, which crackled with lightening, sending roars of thunder over the tossing sea.

“This is the Kalessin Ministry of Plenty first cargo fleet requesting permission to dock and deliver out supplies.”

“Permission granted.”

And with that, gigantic dark shapes began to emerge from the now-thick mist, like great floating palaces, their towers stretching up towards the now-invisible heavens. The first one sedately swept forward towards the shore, and as it reached land, its great doors opened, and from them emerged a column of warriors, all clad in black leather armour, wielding that most traditional weapon, the AK-47. Rank after rank poured outwards in complete silence, until nigh-on twenty-thousand warriors had emerged, after them followed a tall cloaked figure, under whose garments the unmistakeable outline of a sword could be seen, and beside him strode four wizened, hunched creatures, their features hidden within cowled black robes. And then, as the final figure strode out the gates, the shapes in the mist were gone, swiftly followed by the docked barge, which, with a terrible wail, swept out to sea at an insane speed.
11-09-2003, 02:54
"Holy S***!" one of the Scottans whispered into his mic as he watched the craft touch down and the warriors fall out. "I sure hope they are on our side!"

*3rd Scottan Cavalry, Recon Brigade: 7th Regiment; Company D*

"Company Halt." the commander whispered into his comm headset. He looked at the men coming from the ships and then back at his unit. "I am going in there." he said to them. "Rev your engines, be ready to hightail it out of here If I don't come back." With that the Commander's Kubelwagen (German Jeep) sped forward under a white flag of truce into plain view of the soldiers. The two men in the back of the Kubelwagen each waved their own large white flags to display that they wished not to be fired upon. "I am Captain Wilhelm von Recht of Company D, 7th Regiment, 3rd Scottan Cavalry. Where is your commander?" the Commander of the Company asked one of the men who appeared to be an officer.

The tall cloaked figure strode forward to meet Wilhelm, he moved with catlike grace and economy, speaking to the captain with a perfectly-modulated voice, quietly enough so that only the captain himself could hear.

"I am Count Oilardlu al Mjuanti of the Empire of Kalessin, and I have come to fight alongside you on behalf of Protector Joseph Thompson. Not too far away are another forty-nine Kalessin warships, each carrying another twenty-thousand warriors. However, since your Lord Protector has requested that we not let his enemies percieve us taking a direct hand in this conflict, we shall need some way of landing them undetected, and, if possible, of disguising them as Reichskamphen soldiers. My own men, who are at the disposal of your commander for preparing such measures, are probably few enough to be concealed within the port."
11-09-2003, 12:06
"Unfortunately," the Captain replied, "The Port has fallen to the Royalists. They have recieved a large amount of foreign aide and have forced the main body of the army to withdraw north to Elbestadt. There is a smaller port near here though named Leipzig. Scotta has no navy to speak of since we are landlocked and the navies of the other two Kingdoms are in the hands of the Royalists. There is little way to go about breaking the blockade. We can disguise your men as Scottans but we cant conceal their entrance effectively. This perhaps could put some doubts in the minds of the Royalists as to where your men have gone and they could misallocate forces in an attempt to compensate for your unknown presence. The fact that your ship managed to get through the SDI as well as the Royalist Blockade is half miracle and half thanks to an intelligence blunder in Akilliam, they destroyed half of the Royalist controlled SDI in an attempt to strike at us. I highly doubt that any more of your ships would be able to get through without HEAVY damages. Also, you cannot land in any other country, Iesus Christi would have a hemmorage..."

In the face of this, I am authorizing a levee of 10 million men from Scotta, many with previous military experiance due to compulsory military service. I am also glad to report that volunteers have come forth in Reichskamphen and Russapovia to expell the foreign devils from sacred Triune soil. 500,000 men have volunteered and over the past year have been trained vigarously for duty. General von Brauchitz, commander of the Scottan Army of Kamphstadt/Elbestadt looked at the map.

"The first three regiments of the Royalist advance have been cut off." said Muller von Licht, son of the infamous Gerhard von Licht (Othewise known as the Butcher of Rash Unite) and commander of the 33,000 man strong elite heavy infantry division of the Republican Guard. "My reccomendation is to hold the 2nd Panzer division in place like a wall. Then the Republican guard drives into them, crushing them like a hammer and anvil effect. This would of course require heavy artillery bombardment. We need to confuse them. Get them scared s***less. Then hit them again and again until they collapse. While the 2nd Panzer holds the line in the rear, the other three are still engaged in combat with the JR tank divisions which have come in during the counter attack, we dust off operation Whirlwind, saved for just such an occasion."

"Good plan." Brauchitz replied, seeing that the old addage was true...like father like son. "Prepare your Republican Guard to crush the Royalist Scum up front and to move forward after you have finished."

"Yes sir!" von Licht replied, popping to and exiting the room.

Brauchitz then sat down and penned orders the the 5th Panzer Division held in reserve in Elbestadt.
----------------------------------------------------
Forward. They have hit us in our right flank. We hit them in theirs. Take advantage of whatever you can along the way to speed you up. We have the advantage of mobility. I want you to fall into the 2nd JR Panzer Division which is currently engaged with the 2nd Scottan Panzer division. They will be outnumbered two to one, pincer movement. Crush them. Once their centre has fallen, their flanks will be destabilized and we will launch the next phase of the plan.

Feld Marschall von Brauchitz
C in C Army of Kamphstadt/Elbestadt
----------------------------------------------------

He then penned orders to the 3rd 4th and 5th Infantry.

----------------------------------------------------

Men of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th Infantry, prepare to move. We will drive the Royalists into the sea!

Feld Marschall von Brauchitz
----------------------------------------------------

He stood up and handed the letters to his aide de camp who electronically transmitted them to their sources. With a sigh, he walked out of his command tent and toward the Comm tent. The men in the tent rose up and saluted when he entered. He bade them sit down and went on his way.

"Sir, can I help you with something?" one of the Scottan Comm officers asked when the Feld Marschall stood over his station.

"Yes, you can." he replied in a fatherly fashion. Then, he straightened up and whispered softly, "Send orders to the 9th Circle. Lucifer is preparing to bite, give us the teeth."

The mountainsides of Scotta echoed with the launch of over 2000 V-4 Non Nuclear ICBMs. These missiles are the backbone of the Reich's "Reach out and touch someone" section of the SDI. They can land in a pickle barrel, but really need not as they have the capacity to level three city blocks. 1500 missiles screamed towards the Royalist and Jedi Revolutionary forces outside of Elbestadt. The Scottan units engaged with the JR panzer divisions suddenly and inexplicably fell back as the missiles rained down on the Panzers and infantry tearing gaping holes in whatever was there. (OOC: a missile this big hitting a column of tanks would essentially wipe it out...this stuff is bad.) The first 500 missiles hit the units directly engaged. Other units that were percieved as moving towards the action were targeted with lethal accuracy by the next 500. Then, the final group of 500 missiles that was earmarked for the ground forces landed upon the JR and Royalist units that were being held in reserve. The 500 missiles which some noted had passed over the battlefield continued on into Kamphstadt striking at military targets on the outside of the city as well as anything which moved inside the city. The port section of the city, once the base to the great flotilla of ships that was used by Army Group SATO were hit by 10 missiles.

After the missiles had hit, the Scottan units charged headlong into the weakened and confused Royalist lines smashing into them hard as the artillery sang defiance upon a hill overlooking the position where the 2nd JR Panzer division was coming under attack. On the right of the 2nd appeared a huge column of tanks and men also charging at them.

Then, the Republican Guard formed up and began to close up the pocket with the three advanced regiments who had been cut off and now bombarded with missile strikes and artillery shells.

Scottan Bombers screamed overhead carpet bombing enemy positions as well as dropping laser guided munitions on tanks with lethal accuracy (you can counter attack with fighters as you wish)

The 3rd 4th and 5th Scottan Infantry regiments formed up and began to march to the action.

Two Scottan guards struggled to carry a long heavy object in a black plastic bag. It fell limp in the centre and jostled around a bit and dripped slightly at the ends.

"Who's this one?" the first guard asked nodding towards the object.

"Didn't you watch the TV. Thats the guy Joseph shot." the second man responded.

The first guard stopped dead in his tracks and stared at the bag almost stuttering, "You mean...this is King Will?"

"Hell no!" the second Guard said. "I picked this one out myself. The doctors did a great job with his face though."

"So Will is alive?" the first guard asked adamantly.

The Second guard laughed and said, "I am the captain of the Joseph's personal Guard and you are a private. If I told you, I'd have to kill you. If anyone hears about this, its your head that will roll next. They rocked the bag back and forth to get momentum and then finally threw it into a pit.

"Let there be light!" the second guard said, flicking a match into the gasoline soaked pitt filled with several other such bags. The pyre of flame tickled the sky as the hideous stench of burnt flesh soaked the air.

The JR soldiers were digging fox holes when the rockets came flying in.
"Take cover!!!!!!!!!!" the Lt's voice was drowned out by the explosions as he himself was killed from a nearby explosion.
Trees, bodies, shrapnel went flying into the air.
"Fall back!!!!!!!!!"
Stricken with fear, the men ran like hell.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sir! Lines taking heavy hits. Seems to be a large artillery strike. Some sectors are starting to fall back. Heavy casualties be taken."
"What the hell!? There are reinforcements coming from JR. An amout of nearly 500,000 each day just for the Heer. Set up a defensive line. Once the lines have advanced. Create a fall back line. I want a concave defensive position every other mile. Tell the Battallian commanders to encirlce the troops witha feigned retreat. Barbed wire, mines, fortifications. Nothing will get past us."
"Yes sir!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The guard marched down the corridor as he patrolled the west side of the palace. He looked around to see no one around and he made sure no one saw him as he sneaked into the Royal Office, where Joseph's office was. The JEDI KNIGHT walked behind the desk and flipped a bug out of his pocket and placed it under the desk where the chair slides into. He then went to the the wall opposite of where the desk was and pulled out a mini camera and placed it next to the painting, but out of sight because of the trim around the painting concealed the camera. Then the guard walked out the door and back to his patrol.

*Casualties from the beginning of the offensive 20,000 dead 35,000 wounded 200 tanks destroyed.*

"Sir, report from the JR C in C. It seams they've been hit hard."
"Haupsharffuhrer, we have about 120,000 in reserve from the Heer and about 200,000 more in reserve from the Socialists Commitment Heer. Am I correct?"
"Yes sir?"
"Send about half of the reserves west and towards Elbestadt. The Socialists can then fill the lines for the offensive tomorrow. We are going to hit them hard in Vicksburg and Elbestadt. Cut the supply lines."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The DRF soldiers and the Socialists hopped into the vehicles and tanks and or started walking on foot towards their objective. Officers lined their mean up in colums as artillery opened up on the Scottans. Panzer divisions then mopped up for the rest of the night as nearly 160,000 men made a move to damage the Scottans significantly.

OOC: I'm not sure, but I think he's heading east from just south of Kaiserstadt towards Elbestadt and Vicksburg.
14-09-2003, 19:14
The offensive for Kaiserstadt began at first light beginning with beginning with a massive artillery strike at from howitzers and vehicle mounted rockets. Tanks came out of the treeline and fired upon the enemy lines at fullspeed. Hoards of troops hopped out of their transports and ran as far as they could to cover and fired upon the enemy. Heavy bombers flew over head dropping their pay loads in an effort to disrupt supply lines and reinforcements.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The second offensive came upon the river at early dawn and started building a temporary bridge between the 2 forks in the major road to get across and towards New Braunau. Panzers rolled across the bridge and down the road, north of the bridge, and fired upon the local soldiers in the small city on the other side. The DRF troops overwhelmed the soldiers and took the small town, which would soon act as a supply point and a major asset to the offensive they could capture New Braunau. Soon troops headed off towards New Braunau in an effort to get there before the Scottans were reinforced and make a quick advance to end the war.
14-09-2003, 22:33
OOC: How the hell did you get out that far? Have you looked at the Map? Kaiserstadt is surrounded by a huge Scottan Army and the Royalists are in the centre of it. In Reichskamphen, your forces would need to break out of the Kamphstadt area as JR has done in Russapovia before you can go there. Also, how did you get way up that river with Scottan patrol boats and artillery guarding the majour passes? Also, there is an army of 150,000 in New Braunau as well. You are running up against heavily defended targets. If you want to do that, by all means go ahead, but it's your funeral.

IC: The mountainsides of Scotta shook with thunder as 20 V-4 missiles flew forth, headed for the river town recently captured by DRF forces. (OOC: Read above for description of the effects, but this enough to wipe out most of a city let alone a small village and anyone who is closeby. If forces are massed there like you said they were if they managed to get by the Scottans unseen, then alot of them are toast now.)

45,000 men of the 2nd Republican Guard detached from the garrison of New Braunau along with the 8th Scottan Panzer division made up of 50,000 men, 200 tanks and a couple thousand light armoured vehicles. These units then proceded to charge towards Vicksburg to assume a position that would have to be crossed if DRF wanted to get to New Braunau.

*Vicksburg, Russapovia*
It looked like a scene out of the Napoleonic wars. Men in Black, decorated uniforms marched in neat squares. Their boots slamming against the coblestones of the ancient city sounded like the discharge of thousands of muskets. The silver helmets of the Republican guard shined in the mid-day sun as the blades of their shouldered swords gleamed like a sunburst. A strong wind picked up and blew the flags aloft. As they fluttered in the wind, like a black silken ocean, Joseph's personal standard could be seen flying from every regiment. It appeared like the Triune Flag, only in place of the Crown there was a Calligraphic "J". Each regiment's flag was printed with their unit designation and their great accomplishments before and during Joseph's reign. The best dressed soldiers were by far the Grenadiers of the Republican Guard. They wore great Bearskin bonnets like Napoleon's Imperial Guards. Their uniforms were Bright red. They stood out from the rest of the guard like a speck of gold in a sea of darkness. They wore bright metalic epaulets and a metallic Cuirasses (Like the chest part of a suit of armour, only better fitted and very ornate). Their boots were black patent leather and gleamed in the sun. Their gold plated belt buckles glinted at the crowd that had gathered to watch the spectacle and read, "Gott Mitt Uns" or "God With Us".

"I hear there is an invader coming." a little boy in the crowd said to his mother. "Horst Gottleib told me that and he doesn't lie! His daddy is a preacher!"

"Yes, son. But the Guard is here now...we will be safe." the mother replied. She then muttered under her breath, "Safe from the invader, but the fox will be sleeping with us every night. Who will keep us safe from the Guard?"

Joseph slammed on the door of Cell 18B in the Centreville Prison, the largest, most secure Prison in Scotta. It was opened up without hesitation to reveal a sleeping man who appeared in his 50s but was well known to be in his 70's. "Will." Joseph said calmly. "Get up."

The man lieing on the pitiful cott stirred and sat upright. He was in rags. He was living in filth. But still, there was this unmistakable Regal, powerful air about him. There was a certain dignity about him that commanded obedience and a softness in his eyes and his smile that put all at ease. "Yes, Joseph." Will said, fully awake, "Have you another puzzle for me to solve?"

"Yes." Joseph replied. "How could I let my brother's mind waste away. It is my duty as your brother to keep your mind up."

"You apparantly have no problem with letting my body waste away in a dark prison. You have no problem with enslaving my people, and stealing from me through deceit and trickery what was rightly mine." Will replied without the slightest change in modulation of his voice. He sighed out and looked at he piece of paper Joseph was holding, his puzzle. "Bring it here." he said.

Joseph laid out the paper on the floor of Will's bare cell to reveal a map with fake names and places and armies of differant compositions placed strategically but with no indication of what nationality the troops were. "Here is your situation, Will." Joseph said with a purposeful tone. "You are commanding the Army in red. You have just made a successful attack on the Army in Blue and driven them back a significant distance. They are beaten up badly, but have managed to form a strong defensive line to fall back on with concave positioning so as to catch any charge and surround it with overlapping fire."

"I can see the situation, Joseph." Will said deep in thought. "He is using me." Will thought. "This has to be a real battle somewhere. But which men are the ones I want to win. Are the enemy of the Scottans my Royal troops? Foreigners who support them? SATO? Even if I knew which side was the Scottans...I'm assuming it's red, but Joseph may be trying to trick me into helping him secure his strategy by telling him what the enemy may do...If I gave a bad solution to cause their defeat, I know not who would be victorious and who would occupy the Kingdom. The only thing I can safely do is give good advice. I may be helping the Scottans, but they may be the lesser evil. I cannot tell."

"First of all," Will finally spoke to Joseph "To defeat a defensive position, take advantage of its weaknesses, and/or flank it. A fixed position is always a good target..." Will continued on.

The guard walked into the room where 3 guards were watching RNN tv.
"What are you doing!?"
"Nothing sir!" The guard shut the door behind him and looked at the king.
"Do you support him? If you do, leave now. Because Joseph's rule will not last much longer," the Jedi continued," the innocent death will not continue." And with that the Jedi left the room and pounded on the Cell door.

Captain Mark Thompson (originally von Kesselring) looked out over the silent hills outside of Kaiserstadt. "So this is how the Mighty Royal Army of Reichsburg shall end." he thought to himself.

He listened to the birds chirping in the forrest. He could hear it because all traffic in the city had stopped. It was barren and empty. No one was left in the city who didn't bear arms. His eyes scanned the treeline as he noticed the first few Scottan Tanks come out of the forrest and move toward his position. "We can hold them for a good while." he thought.

Then, a hideous howl shot through the air. Several trails of smoke, possibly 100 or so twisted and turned through the air as V-4 missiles streaked into the capitol. He turned in and looked at the city. He admired the beautiful glass sky scrapers. The first V-4 hit right on the building he was admiring. It and 5 buildings beside it suddenly disappeared in a cloud of shrapnel and flame. A billowing cloud of smoke floated skyward. Just one missile eliminated downtown. Others began to fall. The city was rocked by the hitting of several missiles in succession. It looked like the surface of the sun almost as the glass of the buildings shattered and melted in the firestorm now inside the city. He saw a Tank running out of the ruins of the city. Men...or what once were men, only now burned hulls of them, clung to the top of it as others ran, all aflame. The flame swallowed them like a deep ocean. The fire sucked up all the oxygen and many died from asphyxiation. He saw a man running frightened but then, the intense winds created by the firestorm literally sucked him into the air and into the flames. It was like Dresden. Mark watched helplessly as half of his force was instantly eliminated at the start of the battle.

With the heat still at his back, he turned towards the Scottans, now advancing from all sides. They had crossed half of the distance to his position. He picked up his comm and spoke into it with great determination. "We will die here today. He said. But we know this. Let us not dishonour ourselves! If we are to die! Let us make the Scottans pay dearly for our deaths! Follow me boys!" he pulled out his sabre and began to march out infront of the Royalist positions.

Like a magnet, they followed him. The entire line advanced even the last few working tanks. Regiments formed up behind their colours and marched forward almost like a battle from the days of the American Civil War. The Scottan Artillery began to pound at them, but they stayed steady. Snipers picked off men here and there, but the marchers came on. The Scottans picked up their pace and charged headlong at them. Mark noticed the Scottan tanks falling into the flanks of his lines, but kept on. A group of Republican Guard came over the crest of the hill infront of them and immediately took fire from the men directly around Mark.

They kept coming and fell into the advancing royalists. Mark calmly lopped off one of their heads with is sabre as he pulled forth his pistol and plugged three more of them full of holes. Royalists were falling everywhere. The Standard bearer for the divisional standard fell under a hail of bullets. Mark slew one more Scottan with his sword then resheathed it. He picked up the Divisional standard before the flag could hit the ground. The Blue flag with the Crown and Swords flew in the wind. Mark's eyes were aflame with rage and determination. He saw the men of the Royal Guard falling back under intense pressure from the Scottans. "Turn around!" he yelled "Rally on me!" I would rather die than be whipped! CHARGE!!!"

With that Mark boldly ran at the Scottan lines with the standard. Royal Guardsmen turned around and began beating the Scottans back. Miraculously. The Scottans turned in full retreat as the Royalists kept on. Mark kept running with the standard. Then, one of the Republican guard divisions began to Rally infront of Mark. He pulled out his pistol and fired into them. They formed up in a line and let loose a great volley. Mark's leg arm and torso were hit yet he kept coming. He hit the reformed Scottans, stabbing one with the ornamental metal spike on the top of the standard, impaling him. He pulled the standard out of the Scottan firing his pistol wildly. It ran out of bullets. He drew his sabre and raised it high. As he began to swing it down, automatic fire tore through his chest and stomache and a final one went through his head, ending his suffering for good. All went black in an instant. Mark fell and so did the standard of the Royal Guard. The death of Mark Thompson sent the troops into a panic and a rout ensued. Over the next few hours, resistance continued, but was put to rest by another V-4 attack. No Royalists were captured. All threw themselves infront of Scottan guns rather than surrender.

The Scottan Army of Reichsburg, now numbering some 200,000 had been victorious against the smaller yet more tenacious foe. It was now prepared to re route towards Vicksburg, Elbestadt, or Kamphstadt whatever Joseph's orders may be.

The DRF march began all under command of the Waffen SS. Waves of Panzers and trucks and men could be seen for miles as news arrived of the Royalist Army's destruction. Only a few of the top generals knew of the information and rushed their forces even faster for they knew this might very well be the end.
The Kriegsmarine battle ships sailed up river and destroyed the river guards. Along the way they passed the slaughterhouse location of the 3 ambushed regiments. Behind the battleships came long convoys of supply and transport ships. The men on the transports were men straight from the JR homeland and were reinforcements to the soon coming decisive battle. Men were dropped off here and there to act as scouts and messengers. As the ships came closer to Vicksburg and Elbestadt, the bulk of the men, 100,000 were dropped off ab out 20 miles south of Vicksburg. As dusk set in, the bloodshed was about to begin.
15-09-2003, 02:08
"General!" a young messanger yelled as he rode up on a horse. "General! We have detected the presence of Royalist Allies about 20 miles south of Vicksburg. Elite Republican Guard (Special Forces) is watching them and laying low for now."

General Viktor Hohenzollern Military Governor of Vicksburg listened to this new news. "Good work, Leutnant." he said in a laudatory tone to the young man on a horse. "And stable that horse for now. Use it when we want to be quiet."

"Fine, but there is nothing more regal to ride than a horse!" the Leutnant said with a laugh and trotted off.

The General walked back into City Hall where he was running the town. He approached the two Generals with whom he had been in conference with earlier and said to the Panzer Commander, "Send the 3rd through 9th Regiments of Mechanized Shock Troops in the Panzer division to conduct probing attacks on their flanks. Hit and run. Just probe in as deep as you can, then fall back, concentrate elsewhere, and attack there. Give them hell."

He looked at the map and then back up at the commander of the 2nd Republican Guard, Gen. Paul Mahr. "Keep the Grenadiers of the Guard in reserve. We will send them in if things go bad. You are 55,000 strong. That means you have 9 regiments of 5,000 and one Grenadier regiment of the same strength. I need the 1st and 2nd regiments to cover the left flank, 3rd and 4th, cover the centre 5th and 6th cover the right flank, 7th and 8th will cover the rear. 9th will go out in support of the Panzer divisions and join in the probing attacks. The Grenadier regiment stays in reserve inside the city."

He took a deep breath, removed his cap and wiped the sweat from his brow. "Dismissed." he said to them both as they went moving to execute their orders. He wrote out a tellegramme to the Scottan Artillery in the hills beyond Vicksburg.
-----------------------------------
"From your vantage point, you can cover the city and several miles beyond it. I would wish for you to do so. Our troops are moving out and will give requests for fire support to you when necessary. Please fulfill their requests.

-Hohenzollern"
-----------------------------------

He penned another tellegramme to the regional Luftwaffe commander at the airfield 20 miles North of Vicksburg.

-----------------------------------
"There is a large group of Royalists landing their men 20 miles south of Vicksburg. I would request that you disrupt their movement as much as you can, kill what you can, and support our forces which have moved in to attack them.

-Hohenzollern

100 fighter planes streaked through the sky and towards the bombers.
"Sighting confirmed," the lead pilot said. The turned so that they got in the rear of the bombing group.
"Rebel 1, Fox 3!" the lead pilot said. The other pilots followed his lead.
"What the?" one of the pilot's missiles missed but to his left he did not see what was left of an enemy bomber coming at him from above and the piece of metal hit the wing, breaking it off.

The corps of 4 divisions lined up in a spead head attack as Waffen-SS units got in front. The DRF divisions rolled forward. Overhead, an air battle was taking place as bombs started to fall on the DRF troops. Also above them, counter bombing runs were about to take place on Vicksburg.
15-09-2003, 23:35
The Military Governor of Vicksburg was a radical Josephite. He was now loyal to Viktor Leipzig the new Lord High Protector. His units in Vicksburg were Republican Guard and the Panzer Division's standard was the only standard to feature Joseph's full name. The King's return disrupted much of the front and prompted an end to hostilities at Elbestadt but with Scottan River craft still patroling the waters, Scotta still had control of the River and most of the outlieing areas. Elbestadt was the only city on the river not under Scottan control as Reichsburg was still garrisoned by Republican Guard.

The Airforce were still loyal to the Protectorate in whatever form it would come and continued fighting. The 850,000 strong Army of Scotta which had yet to see battle turned around and crossed the Scottan border last night. Lord High Protector Leipzig began granting amnesty to Royalist prisoners as soon as he was appointed and began withdrawing into Scotta. except for the posts on the River.

The Scottan Units who were still mobilized but had handed their sword to the King were loyal to the King until his armies crossed over into Scotta, in which case they would defend their homes.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Washington Artillery, the most elite artillery regiment in the Republican Guard, began raining shells down on the assembled DRF units. A 3 hour bombardment straight into their lines was sure to have some effect.

As the bombardment came to a close, the Scottan troops were clearly visible on a ridge beyond the DRF positions. It was a large hill to climb to reach their position and beyond it a wooded plateau. 3 Regiments of the Republican Guard marched forth, rallied around the colours. Before they were halfway accross the field, a bugle came accross a loudspeaker playing Dixie, the Reichskamphian National Anthem. 5 Regiments in the uniform of the Royal Guard suddenly appeared on the left of the Republican Guard. The leader of the men in the Royal Guard uniforms drew his sabre, held it high in the air and yelled, "CHARGE!!!" as the regiments began to charge at full speed towards the Scottans. The Rebel yell cut through the mid-day air, like corkscrews going in one's spine, it sent a chill through every bone in one's body. Without a shot being fired from either side, the apparantly surprised and frightened Scottans turned tail and ran back up the hill and into the woods beyond. The men in the Royal Guard uniforms followed close behind, scaling the hill as gunshots rang out all over the field in every direction. The last regiment sent a call out to the watching DRF forces over the loudspeakers, "Hurry up! We've got them running! If we keep pressing them, they will keep running! Follow us men!"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As the Jedi fighters moved against the bombers, the Scottan fighter corps swooped down from the higher altitude and fell in right on top of the Jedi's.

"Target Lock." the computer said in a mechanical voice in the cockpit of the group leader. He pressed the button and sent a sidewinder missile screaming towards one of the Jedi fighters.

Other Scottan planes opened fire with their missiles as periodically a bomber would go up in flames and plummet from the sky thanks to the Jedi's attacks.

Now over their targets, the bombers began dropping their munitions with deadly accuracy and one by one turned around to go home.

Another squadron of Scottan fighters was visible heading in on the horizon.

*Tellegramme from King Will Thompson II to Lord High Protector of Scotta, Viktor Leipzig*

Viktor, you served me well in my foreign ministry and I am sure you will make a wonderful Royal governor for Scotta. You will be invested with all the power you possess now over Scotta, but it shall be united in the Kingdom and the title of Protector shall be abolished. I am sure you did not know the extent of Joseph's evil and thought simply that you were doing the best you could for the Kingdom. If this be the case, you will know that the best thing for the Kingdom is a quick and painless Scottan withdrawal from the other Kingdoms and all Scottan forces who raised their sword against the crown shall be parolled and offered a position in the Royal Army or Royal Guard. The High Command shall be let off very easy as long as they have committed no attrocities and will be allowed to readopt whatever Royal titles they previously had. I urge you to lay down your arms that unity may once again come and that all in your fold may be safe. If you turn down this opportunity, my mood for clemency shall pass quickly.

His Royal Highness,
Will Thompson II

A DRF motorcycle being ridden by 2 soldiers holding white flag came out of the hedgerow. They road 200 yards across the field to the enemy along the river.
"We wish to speak with your commander on your last chance to surrender," the DRF troops said to the private.
17-09-2003, 02:53
The Scottan Private looked at them and said, "Come this way."

The two men were taken before the Regimental Commander, who heard them out and sent them to the Military Governor of Vicksburg himself.

"So, you want me to surrender?" the Governor asked the men. Before they could reply he yelled, "NO! HELL NO!" he snapped his fingers and Scottan Guards seized the two men, patted them down and took from them their weapons. The Governor got in the face of the first man and said. "Renounce your loyalty to the Jedi, to the Crown!" the man paused but did not answer. "To slow!" he yelled as he drew his pistol, placed the barrel directly against the man's head and pulled the trigger, splattering his brains across the floor. The other man, shocked by the situation managed to shake one of the Scottans free and hit the other one in the stomach causing him to double over. While he was distracted by the Scottans, the commander hit him in the head with the butt of his pistol, knocking him to the floor. He placed his foot upon his chest and pressed down listening to the ribs crack one by one. A rib punctured one of his lungs as the Governor shot him in the neck. "You will suffer for your insolence!" the Governor yelled as he gasped for air. Blood began to drain down his windpipe and out onto the floor, every gasp for air causing the blood around his neck to bubble and gurgle. Slowly his damaged lungs filled and he drowned to death in his own blood.

"Catapult their corpses over into the Jedi Positions." the Governor said, wiping the blood off of his boot. 15 minutes later, a group of Jedi Soldiers were talking in a wooded area as the two mutilated corpses flew in amongst them.

"Sir, our 2 soldiers that offered surrender to the enemy, were found dead about 3 miles from here."
"What? That brings our dead to nearly 35,000 as a regiment was ambushed just south of Vicksburg. Send message to DRF General. He has nearly 800,000 men right? Have em send 300,000 to take the river valley," the general said. He looked at his map for a second and then thought to him self.
"We're going to air drop right in the middle of the river valley, on both sides. We will divide them in the middle, and push from the north and the south. Vicksburg, will be in the way, but we must surround them, begin a siege, and continue on. When we come from the south, we come from Kamphstadt. I want results this time. 24 hour bombing, 24 artillery strikes, and a massive raid by the Navy. We must end this. JR will contribute to Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe operations."
"Ja sire."
"Today about 24,000 Waffen SS reinforcements came JR today. That brings the total of SS trops to about 48,000. They shall lead the spearhead from the north and the south, while we send the remaining 10,000 into the middle to divide them."

Public Message from Viktor Leipzig, Lord High Protector of the Triune Republic:

Citizens of the World. It is with mixed feelings that I renounce my title as Lord High Protector. My King has returned and I am loyal to him. Joseph was wrong, but this fact had been hidden from me. As my final act as Lord High Protector, I am announcing the Surrender of all Scottan Forces in the Triune Kingdom.

I have been offered the position of Arch Chancellor of the Triune Kingdom by King Will himself and shall accept such a position in hopes of reuniting the Kingdom after such a long bloody division.

God Save the King!

Viktor Leipzig,
Lord High Protector of the Triune Republic

As this war is ending, I am sending 3 Einsatzgruppen into the Triune Kingdom as part of the peacekeeping detail. As soldiers look forward to going home, some 1 million people from the JR's Wehrmacht will be staying as a peacekeeping detail until the King has regain full power and until the Triune Kingdom has been returned to it's full and original state. The Wehrmacht would like to hold a celebration in Reichsburg for the returning of the king!

Message to Jedi Revolutionists from the Kalessin Ministry of Peace:

"The Empire currently has 20,000 warriors in Russopovia, and nearly a million more within a few hours travel. Do you require our assistance in mopping up Joseph's troops?"

No I believe I will not need additional forces other than what is here. If you like, you may keep your 300,000 troops here as part of security and police detail. Perhaps you would like to join us in the celebration parade and march?
