((eh... I can't involve Eris in this right now... not that she'd be particularly worried about Nix... just the others. I'm assumingthis was sent directly to the palace though so I'll play it out like that))

*Eris, being busy with things, was dealing with the other nations leaders when High Priestess Callisto got the message via William Talbet, head of Human Relations who was hanging out in the defence room in place of Alex Wazzat (the defence minister). William and Callisto listened to the transmission and frowned at the video clips*

William: Shit... this is the last thing Eris needs right now..... who is the "him" they were reffering to anyway?

Callisto: *shrugs* I'm not sure... do me a favor and do a -very- discreet role call of the nations officals. We'll figure this out.... You said the message seemed to have been sent from Raem? Are you sure?

William: *nods* I'm sure of it...

Callisto: well shit... try and send a message back. Find out what they want and hurry. If you get no responce I'll have Nia come down here and look at things

*William nods again sne sets to work trying to send a message back on the same frequency*

William: This is the Empire of Eris Kallisti. Why have you taken our people? What is it you want? Please respond.

*William and Callisto wait wondering if they should inform the empress herself*

((OOC If raem dosn't mind I'll add my two cents here))

The Messanger to the Court of Eris was simply clothed and seemed almost unimportant, except he strode up to the Gate Guards and simply smiled. 'I believe you are currently having a slight problem with the Fallen of Raem. Run along and find some one important litle Mon-Keigh the people Of Tor Yvresse have an offer for you Goddess, one she will need to hear.'

yes the man was proud and arrogent, and likely not the best choice for a diplomat, unfortunatly the best choices where busy and this was all they had to spare.

*Nia Starr tilts her head slightly, listening to messages over her comunit. Eris gives her a frustrated but knowing look. Slowly the elf stands and excuses herself and heads out to the front of the palace to see what's going on... something was wrong. As she stood Callisto sends her a message too. She frowns and hurries outside. Standing next to the gaurd she furrows her brow a little at the man*

Eris is busy right now with the war plans on Melkor... If you need to speak to someone I'll listen.

*The elf is obviously troubled with so much happening at once, but she does her best to take it in stride. The gaurd just continues to stand there stoicly, the only motion he makes is to step aside slightly for Nia*

'As I said to our guard, Kin you are having a problem with the Fallen, we can help you there. The Fallen will be expecting you to respond tell me the messages come from where the Nation of raem used to stand yes? I ask you a simple question WHY?' The Eldar was truly arrogent but he knew what he was talking about.

'Answer a Trap the fallen do not reside in Raem, they left there a long time ago, they now reside in the Web... we can help you find them, without that aid you will be lost.'

*Nia frowned slightly and motioned the visitor to an elevator. Sliding her security card through the slot the doors opened and she stepped inside*

Alright... we're willing to accept help on this, but who are you? How do you know about this? We're trying to keep this as quite as possible as to not cause a panic....

*Another message comes through her com unit*

It seems they have taken Nix, our Fnord Handler... Nix is a rare creature and considered nobility among us. Getting it back is one of our concerns, but the other people are even more of an issue... Nix can take care of itself for the most part... Its a hard creature to kill...

The man nodded 'I repersent Tor Yvresse, Craftworld Tor Yvresse, I am a Warlock my name is unimportant, as I was never here. As for how we know about this, Farseer Telgothrind did see it in the runes, 2007 was he casting at the time, and from those Runes he read of this incident. That the Fallen would change their tactics. We are Kin you see the Fallen and Tor Yvresse, they have lost their way now for some time.'

Smiling as he stepped through the door and smiling at the comments on Nix, it was not a comforting smile 'I suppose that will make it moe fun for the Fallen a toy that can fight back, that is all they see this Nix as, a Toy. Something to play with, maybe gain something from and then to discard. Do not misunderstand me, we will endevor to rescue your people, but Understand this, if we cannot rescue them, but can execute them, it would be a mercy of unparrelled heights.'

It was just for a moment, but at the Erisian party, the Archon and Nix had disappeared. It was, apparently, long enough for them both to disappear.

Hours later, after a surely frantic search, a garbled transmission was sent from where Raem used to be in the material world:

"We have him... he belongs to the K...al now. He is not.... only one in our possession. If you want him... come and claim him."

Along with the audio in the transmission are video clips of several innocent Erisian bystanders from the party being horribly mutilated, tortured, in obvious agony, one even already dead. Most of them are too bloody, too gruesome to be broadcast to the general public.

My name is Nia Starr, I'm Eris's assistant, and the one in charge when she cannot deal with things... So your people are related to the ones who took Nix and our people then?

*She runs a hand through her hair thinking for a few moments*

Hopefully Nix can hold out long enough for us to get the others out. We'll not sacrifice any lives in this if possible. It seems these "Fallen" have taken only humans... we didn't notice any elves or were-creatures... or even undead... I suppose they've done that on perpose...

*Her brow furrowns and she rubs her temple slightly, looking much like Eris when she does so.*

Nix can't exactly die... not like people do at least... it may lose its human shape though, but it will fight to keep it. One such as its type prize they're human appearance.

*She looks at the Warlock, catching his eyes*

What is it you suggest we do?
Tor Yvresse

Noding his understanding. 'We come from the same past, Millinia ago we where one people, we ruled an untouchable empire then came the Fall. I won't explain the fall suffice to say they are the descendents of those that did not heed the leasons of history.' Disgust was plain on his face at the idea of being related to the Fallen.
'We have a diplomatic, understanding with the Fallen, more for mutual ease than anything else, but thats it, as for actions, for now watch and see. I feel for the Mon-Keigh, but do not see what else we can do. This action is unusual for them, they usually don't go for one person yet all evidence points to Nix being the target, the others where an after thought a bonus not the main target. Something is odd about all this. Why are they using the irradiated nation of Raem, when they now reside in the Web?' Many questions where contained in that one simple question.

'However I would advise you to gather a small team of people who can follow orders, and think quickly. Nix is in more danger than you think, the Fallen devour Soul essence, to think Nix is safe would be a mistake. You may be correct but are you willing to bet on that fact? When they reveal their hand more I have been given autority to lead a small group through the Web to the Fallen, we might be able to effect a rescue.'

The mans tone had changed a little hemay have been a bad choice for diplomacy but he had a few social graces, his respect was growing a little for the woman.

*Nia nods slowly and the elevator doors open into the defence room where William and Callisto stand. She steps out of the elevator*

Nix is not a normal being... I'm not even sure if it has a soul... perhaps it does, but there really is no way of detecting it... as far as we know.

*She motions to the others in the room*

This is High Priestess Callisto and William Talbut. Callisto is in charge of temple management and worked very close to Nix, William is our head of human relations.

*the other two nod to the Warlock and Nia looks back to him again*

What is it we can call you anyway? It will just make things easier...

*Nia wondered if the Fallen they were talking about were the same kind of Fallen they had living here... more then likely not... and she doubted they would want to get involved anyway. Fallen angels were a tricky sort when it came to asking for favors*

Although of course I would deny that part of the greeting in Public, as I was telling the Lady Nia here, if the situation permits you have access to the Web.' He followed his greeting with a simple bow.

((OOC if anyone here has the same gift with Tongues that Nix had, they would know that he has simply named himself Craftworld in the Eldar Tongue, he has basically taken the name of what Tor Yvresse is. Although of course I would deny that part of the greeting in Public, as I was telling the Lady Nia here, if the situation permits you have access to the Web.' He followed his greeting with a simple bow.*Callisto nods slowly, eyeing the warlock for a bit... she seemed to understand. William and Nia don't seem to realize anything is amiss though*

Callisto: The web? We might... but perhaps you should explain a bit further...

*Callisto's eyes flicker with differant colors for a moment and she sits down in a nearby chair. She motions to another chair*

Have a seat if you like

*Nia and William both take a seat for now*
Tor Yvresse
22-08-2003, 09:55
Kionash looks at the seat a moment and smiles nodding as he sits down 'The web, how to describe it, it is order in Chaos, a seperate part of a dimension that exists along side this one. The Web is endless in size and none but perhaps the keepers of the Black Libary know all it's twists and turns. It is a road throughout the Galaxy and perhaps beyond it as well, ages ago in a greater time than this our ancestors created it, perhaps with the aid of our gods.'
Pausing a moment he considered his next words, 'It exists in the Warp as I said, a realm of twisting thought one where the whims of the Ruinous powers hold sway, and where order is overthrown. I can tell before continuing that to worshippers of a Chaos Goddess this would sound a good thing, it is not, it is Chaos but Chaos that exists purely to destroy. The Web is Order in this chaos as I said, but it is also Chaos, to travel to a place one must sometimes travel away from it, the way back is not the reverse of the way you came.'

Still a longer pause. 'While we do not know how it was made in the begining we do know how to extend it, as do the Fallen, they claim greater knowledge in fact than even we, but it would be a hard claim to test. It used to be that I could tell you that the Web was completly seperate from the Warp but if we near the Fallens city this will cease to be the case. For rips in the Fabric of the Web exist now, thanks to the War for Raem, tears that allow the Deamonic forces of the Warp into the Web'

I hope this answers your questions.

*Callisto furrows her brow at Kionash and makes a strange clicking noise with her tounge. She was slowly gathering thoughts in her head, one could almost see the wheels turning. Her eyes settle on the warlock and she leans back in her chair*

This sounds much like our Fnord Voids on the island of Lotus... These voids are a place only Nix, myself and Empress Eris can travel within though... the chaos in its pure surealist form tends to drive others mad....

*She puts her hand to her face, stroking her chin slightly in thought*

Perhaps we can reach Nix and the others through there...

*She glances to William and Nia who are both looking horribly helpless in this situation. Nia was used to dealing with chaos, but not in such a pure form*
Eris Kallisti
24-08-2003, 06:24
"Chaos, Nix. Surely you must be able to appreciate that. Chaos, and entropy. Your empress-goddess worries herself numb over your safety and the war with the dark god. The craftworlders scramble to recover from the vampire war, and they were always hesitant to do battle in the Web." She gestures broadly with the terrible scepter, dredging up the memory of pain from the psychic resonance within the bone, one of the unfortunates who was kidnapped and did not survive the initial 'fun'.

"And surely you must be able to appreciate the landscape. That's the Warp out there, you know what that is, yes? Chaos, malevolence. The true Chaos Gods are out there, watching, coveting my city; they lack the strength to penetrate the veil of the Web that clings to this city still. Now my plans are laid bare, Nix. Destruction and Chaos: death, pain, fear. The touch of these things upon the soul of a mortal are sweet to me, as the taste of some treat is sweet to them. I need it, I must have it. You cannot imagine the thirst in my soul, the void aching to consume them."

She stands and steps down from the dais, a pair of her incubi masters moving to flank her; who knows how one could entice those eternally watchful, brutally cold butcherers to one's cause? She reaches up to trail a long-nailed fingertip over Nix's cheek. She glances at Rakath, over in one corner, and nods; he disappears from the room.

*Nix, for the most part, has been staying silent. It was a newborn for lack of better terms. It had most of the last Fnord Handler's memories, but it had never experianced much personaly. Its eyes darted to the woman and it blinked a few times as it spoke. Nix made no motion to move away from her hand when she touched its cheek. After a long pause it spoke in a mild tone*

I don't understand exactly why your doing this. I guess it really doesn't matter..... I am a creature of the void given shape, I am chaos, I am everything, I am nothing, all at once... I'm the feeling one gets when confusion sets in... I was given shape so I might serve my Goddess and Empress. I can give you nothing but everything. A fnord in not meant to be possesed really, its more of a tool, but in the long run it does what it its supposed to do anyway. But yes, I quite enjoy what you've done with the place.

*Its words flowed out of its mouth in a tossled pitches, and strage fluctuations as if it had many voices and was unsure of what one to use... or perhaps it did that on perpose. Maybe what it said made sense... perhaps it didn't. Maybe it was testing her slightly. Its eyes were calm, part of it felt a tinge of grief for the humans lost, but it faded quickly. Mourning could come later. No point in it now*

Later, another broadcast is sent from the radioactive wastelands of the ruined desert nation. Not garbled this time, but in the native tongue of the Eldar, and thus more strongly secure than anything the mon-keigh could devise.

"The last of the mortals have been given over to our master haemonculus for... conversion." The voice seems self-satisfied, arrogant and amused at the plight of the humans, "The thing called Nix resists our ways; we have learned, though, that your kind values his life for some reason, and that you expect us to make demands for his safe return," a laugh punctuates the last few words of the sentence. "Deliver to us members of the Novis Nobilite, of the nation Indiastan, and we will consider freeing Nix."

*Callisto turned her head when the transmission came through and her eyes narrowed. Unlike Nix, she had a huge range of emotions and they tended to shift more often then they should*

Novis Nobilite? I don't know who the hell that even is!

*She makes a face and motions for William to look it up. William moves to the database, rolling across the floor on his wheeled chair. Callisto looks to the warlock again*

what's their grudge with them anyway? and why get us involoved?

(Gee, thanks for draggin me into this ;))

Following the request for information about the Navis Nobilite, the Foreign Ministry sends t a reply:

"To whom it may concern within the Empire of Eris Kallisti:

Regarding your request for information about the monastic order called the Navis Nobilte, we are prepared to release this information. They are a group of telepaths, and they represent all know psychic power in Indiastan, and indeed most of Humanity. Applicants come from around the globe in order to learn from the masters there. The Navis is one of the few groups who have actually developed a working system to control their latent powers. The order is entirely female, for reasons they have not disclosed. They reside in the Himilayas, but their exactly location is classified. We hope that this information is informative, and that it answers whatever questions you may have. Thank you."

Nix was released into the city on his own recognizance later that day; the millions of bloodthirsty, psychotic aliens serve as a better prison for the billion suffering humans than stone and wire could. They dare not linger too longer, or wander out of the territory of the gang that owns them, for fear of being the target of a rival, or simply a random passing Fallen Eldar.

Amongst themselves, the aliens are no less brutal. Deadly competitions, spurred by antagonistic onlookers, leave one or more participants bleeding, dying, the bystanders fighting over the right to consume their soul.((OOC: ok things are getting confusing... what city is Nix in, and who are the billion suffering humans? they can't be miine... my entire nation doesn't even have a billion in it. Callisto looks to them and stands*

It seems that we are ready to go. I figued it best we didn't have a huge group. I know these people, General Noir has sent her special squad. These people know how to work quickly and quietly.

*William stands as well. The group who came out of the elevator stand straight with their hands behind their backs. None of them speak, and they stare directly ahead. The pale ones don't appear to be blinking or breathing*

((Okay into the web,))

Kionash stood silently for a moment and then began, a low chant at first the first stage of the opening. Those with the gift of Tongues would hear the names of Gods, Those with a gift for Magic would feel the swirling of energys. The Chant grew in speed, and loudness becoming more complicated as he went on, in essence the Chant was unneeded of course it acted merely to focus his mind....

After a minute or so had passed the gate opened, although no differance could be seen it could be felt, space was warped here, two different dimensions met in one place, it sent a slight chill down the spine. Kionesh stepped forward without worry and as he did so the portal was seen the Web opened, and the chaos could be seen. It was as if a tunnel through a Mountain in many ways, yet of impossible shades of colour, and depth. Branches could be seen in the distance, and the Walls where almost Translucent. Outside them could be seen, emptyness, a blank sea of nothingness and yet at the same moment a place that was filled in an evershifting manner. Chaos in it's Rawest form.

A shape could sometimes be seen, a being looking in from outside the Web, it looked upon the Web with an intensity and a burning need, yet here was not the place it could enter, and so it looked also bored.

She was beutiful, yet deadly, her lithe body seemed to epitomise all that the men in the group found desirable, she reeked raw Sexual energy, the scent reaching the men first, a faint perfume in the air, a hint of spice of excitment it dulled the abilty to resist, as her clawed arm beckoned to the men enticing them to her side, to her defence. It seemed as through the Claw and the barbed tail where a part of her attraction, promisingthat which the men kept buried deep inside themselves, the secret desires the dark wills.

As enticing as the Demonette was her Master/Mistress was more so, it towered over the lesser Deamon and walked with purpose, and again a secret will, a secret promise, at it's side nothing was forbidden, all was welcome as long as you obeyed it, you where free, it's scent filled the air with a promise of freedom, and pleasure beyond the wildest dreams of all those who smelt it, and an insidious voice spoke into the mind. Serve and be free, Serve and you are your own Master, they who seek to deny you your will are my enemies, bring me the souls of your comrades and we will be as one, you need not fear pain again.

Kionesh was immediately on the defnsive he had not the power to fight a Keeper, and barely enough for a Demonette, but he began the rituals of banishment.

*William and the male Were-creature stopped walking and stared. The Vampires seemed to care less... or at least they didn't show they cared. Callisto Layed a hand on William's shoulder and shook her head in warning. Quickly she motioned to the female were-creature, who was already eyeing her male counterpart. William whirled on Callisto and swatted her hand away*

William: leave me be Priestess...

*Callisto didn't respond, she just glared at him and muttered something under her breath. It sounded like an incantation, but strangely it didn't have an effect of William. Instead of calming down like he was supposed to, he took a swing at her. She barely managed to duck as she haddn't been expecting that.*

*Meanwhile the two were-creatures were talking in their own language, argueing. Both hand shifted forms. The male was a classic looking werewolf, the female was a werecat. She hissed at the werewolf and he growled back... they started circling eachother. The Vampires glanced at them and a few eyebrows were raised... then they started smirking at eachother*

Deamon's in the Web it still sickened him the very concept, but he could do nothing about it, and so he began the chant. Ishar Mother we seek your protection. Asuryan Wisdom we seek your patience, Vaul, Smith We seek you craft, Harlequin Trickster we seek your Cunning. Khaine War we seek your Vengence. We bind Our foes with bonds of light remove it's presence, clean our homes once More. Harlequin Trickster We seek your knoweldge clear your home. Khaine, War we seek your Blade.

Still it had at first little effect as the Blade circled in the air, slowly through a barrier formed around the Demonette, slowing her down but in the presence of a Keeper it would take much longer. The names of the first three God's had had of course the least effect the Names of the Dead do not compel Deamons as strongly as those of the living, but soon the strongest part of the enchanctment would be added the last part.

*William blinked and hestiated for a moment. Callisto took the advantage to grab him and twist his arm behind his back. Wincing in pain he groaned and put his free hand to his head*

William: Callisto... I'm alright.... seriously... I'm sorry. lemme go.

*He glanced to the werewolf and werecat*

William: umm... maybe you should calm them down before they kill eachother...

*Callisto frowned but slowly released William. Her eyes darted to the werecreatures and she scowled*

Callisto: damnit....

*letting William go compleatly she got between the two weres and put her hands up*

Callisto: by Gaia! stop this! We're not here to fight eachother. Calm down before I pull silver on the both of you

*The female nodded slowly and backed up, but the male growled low at Callisto, looking like he was going to advance at any moment. She caught his eyes and growled back. Her hand went to her side where she carried a small silver dagger*

Callisto: don't make me fight you..... we're here to get our people out... not fight with eachother.
