IC: Due to a huge increase in our information technology industry, we are offering the following to be sold.

FelineOS- Civil Version.

Feline-OS is the most advanced operating system to date. With advanced AI (but not too advanced so you don't have to worry about it acquiring self awareness so you will have to pay it, give it time off, etc...) and a heuristic learning structure, plus an extremely easy GUI, this is the ideal for your country.

Silicon based computer version: 55 Paw Marks (110 USD)
Quantum Computer Version: 200 Paw Marks (400 USD)
Site lisence- please POST below, don't telegram... inbox getting a little full.

Please note that by Feline law, these cannot be sold to certain nations. You know who you are... also this cannot be used for military purposes. By purchasing you agree not to dissasemble, decompile, or reverse engineer. You also release us from any damages arising from improper use of the software. You do not own FelineOS, only a liscensed copy. You may use it for one (1) computer only, unless a site lisence is purchased. One (1) back up copy may be made on another computer, however, only one copy may be in use at a time.

FelineOffice- Civil Version

But if you were not Dark Terror, you could purchase them for a space program, as long as it is peaceful in nature.

OOC: Yes, Bisons, I know you switched to this puppet after getting deleted.

ill take one of each if you dont mind.

the holy Emperor of Tannelorn is interested in your software, for administration purposes, Tannelorn is not an Aggressive nation, but by no means will we not defend ourselves our our other allies, who believe as we do in the Divine right of sovereign rulers. WE do hereby promise not to reverse engineer any of your technologies for a military application, and in Tannelorn...lying is illegal. oh and we do wish to know if you wil ldo business with us, as we have much to offer in Agricultural, GE and Automotive as Well as military contracts if you are interested.

For quantum computers or normal computers?
Tannelorn
13-08-2003, 03:22
oops i meant to say Silicon as well, Tannelorn is not noted for its computer technology hahah, though we are famed for our Fission Technology

Would the site license allow the OS on networks or grids of computers?
The Unreal Soldiers

Also, can the Quantum and Silicon OS's communicate with eachother, as I know the capabilities of Silicon based system lack far far far far far far behind those of Quantum computers.
Feline

Yes to both. In Feline, each city has a central computer (Quantum), which connects to the Feline Central Mainframe (Also Quantum). Workstations are silicon based.

Something I typed up a while ago on our computer network, if you are interested:

The Feline Central Mainframe

The Feline Central mainframe stores the accumlated knowledge of our civilization, acts as the central routing point for all government computing, does all the mundane calculations required to run a country as large as ours on a national scale, and acts as the Central Computer for our capital arcology. (OOC: An arcology is basically a city within one huge building.)

It is composed of 10,000 (Yes, 10,000!) quantum computers working in paralell operation. Some thought has been given to expanding it as of late, and a proposal in currently in commitee of the Feline Council to expand it to 22,500 quantum computers working in paralell operation.

To our knowledge, it is the most sophisicated computing system in the world.

Central Computers
One of these is located in each arcology. They administer environmental controls, perform calculations, distribute information to workstations, and dispatch drones where needed. Drones do the most menial labor in Feline- an approximate percentage of white-collar workers in Feline is 83%. Drones are small, hovering robots programmed to perform a specific task. They are built cheaply and easily. There are hundreds of different types of drones, but the most common types in Government sevice are cleaning, maintanance, and security (to back up the police force when needed.).

Workstations

The only silicon-based computers in Feline, but the most numerous. This category consists of notebook, desktop, PDA, etc. computers that cannot feasibly fit quantum computing technology. Every citizen in Feline has at least one of some type, and by law there must be at least one desktop workstation in every room. These are used to perform simple tasks such as internet browsing, word processing, and entertainment. They are tied in to the FelineNet and the Internet.

The FelineNet

The WAN (Wide Area Network) linking, through fiber-optics and wireless communications, every computer in Feline. Through it, you can request any book ever written, any movie ever produced , any (non-private) information ever thought up and recorded in digital form by a citizen of Feline, as well as citizens from many other countries. The maker of the material, if copyrighted, automatically gets a royalty when the information is downloaded. All this information is stored in the Feline Central Mainframe... you want to listen to the latest chart-topping hit while reading Charles Dicken's Great Expectations? Or perhaps some light jazz while reading Max Berry's Jennifer Government (OOC: No, I have not read it yet, although I want to, so don't spoil it for me!)? You can with a few touches on a touchscreen.

Considering the power of quantum computing, that many computers is overkill. We have one in each building, and 1 quantum server forming our network. We have yet to make any one system pause for more than 3trillionths of a second, and that was while running our teleportation software.
Feline
30-08-2003, 00:29
It's not overkill for us for several reasons:

1. We have 1,327,000,000 citizens. Huge nation=Huge amount of computing power required. Remember, every single menial detail is handled by the central mainframe.
2. It also has stored on it every single piece of literature, art, music, etc. ever written on it, plus all sorts of data. Lots of stuff to store=lots of storage space needed.
The Unreal Soldiers

But quantum computers have such incredible power, being each qubit can be a 1, 0, 1 and 0, neither, or somewhere in the middle, that even a network of say 10 could handle all the knowledge(which isnt very much itself) that humans have.

I'll help you with more technological creation on this. We are both large nations, of comparable, and I think we shoudl trade notes on software production, unless you wish for possibly militarial construction tips. We have an extremely good aeronautical division, not to mention our ordanance. We would also set up a dragon breeding program. We ourselves have two types of dragon in our nation, due to intellectual abilities, and just evolution. There are the smarter dragons, who are an intregal part of our society and join in colleges, of which we would gladly send over as exchange students, we would pay for the tuition. Then there are the primal dragons, for which we could set up a breeding program. The smarter dragons have conveined many times with our demonic population(we have a wierd population) and many have learned rudementary transmorgrification abilities, which allow them to gain smaller sizes, so they could fit in classrooms and such. Your choice.

We would like to purchase a site license for both the Quantum and processor based OS's.

Send the money (OOC: I'm not sure how much to sell these for, so just say you sent 'the money'), and the software will be sent.

I say all you sell is pussy software!
