The Integrated Naval Fleet Defence Network. (INFDN)
The primary component to the INFDN is the newly designed INFDN Distroyer/Protector. (INFDN-DP) The INFDN-DPs have 6 Phalanx Weapons Systems arranged in a line from the front to the rear, 2 Sea Sparrow surface to air missile launchers on each side-each holding 8 missiles each for a total of 32, as well as a newly designed Patriot missile launcher- 1 on each side-that holds 8 missiles each. The Distroyers have no offensive weapons save the 4 specialy designed diagonally mounted torpedo launchers which hold 4 torpedoes each. The distroyers have a new tracking system that uses the most state of the art radar to track up to 200 seperate targets, from incomming missiles to aircraft to naval ships, and can assign spacific targets to each weapons system. The crew of a INFDN-DP has been lowered to 238, however, the remaining stats are almost identical to any other distroyer
The central coordinating computer is located on the Fleets flag ship and can systematicaly coordinate all data from the 4 to 20 INFDN-DPs as well as a dedicated satellite which also tracks any incomming items from aircraft and missiles to naval vessels and submarines. The total system, if all 20 INFDN-DPs are used, can track up to 5000 seperate targets, and deligate the appropriate ones to each ship, which in tern, assigns the target to the appropriate weapon.
All vessels, including the INFDN-DPs, are equipped with our newly designed sonars, able to track stealth submarines and any unnatural object larger than a bread box, including mines.
The system can locate, identify, track, assign to the apropriate weapons system, and ingage any target within range, in less than 1.75 seconds.
The system is also integrated into the already existing defence systems of all the other ships in the fleet.
If interest is forthcomming, The Newer England will consider exportation.
