Centrifugal Force Kinetic Energy Interceptor (CF-KEI)

The CF-KEI is a ground based weapon system designed to destroy or damage beyond operation any inbound offensive projectiles. While still in testing phase great strides have been made due to a new power source acquired from the nation state of Unther.

This Hydrogen powered engine (HPE) produces 1200hp, which is channeled into the CF-KEI’s centrifugal force chamber (CFC). The force applied is sufficient to accelerate the 250-grain, DLC coated titanium shot (TS) to 25,000mps. At this velocity the (TS) will deliver an impact of 161,771 ft. lbs. on it’s target at impact.

The firing system is automated due to the extreme computations required in aiming and firing this system. The Computer Guidance System (CGS) within the weapon system carries out a numerous functions and relays the information to the main targeting computer. While the functions can’t be discussed due to security risks involved, during testing the TS has consistently struck its target within .2m of center at 40km.

While the system is highly effective in it’s design, there are limitations due to physics at this time. The range of the system has been proposed at 40km due to the never-ending amount of variables beyond that range that would impact upon the TS. Out to this range a 95 % target strike rating has been achieved during our internal tests. (Range extended due to the addition of the C.E.A.S.A.R. Computer system)

Due to the amount of space required housing the HPE, CFC, CGS and other necessary components of the CF-KEI it can only be based on land and within a sufficiently solid structure. Also of note is the fact that it must be connected to your early warning radar and detection system, and the effectiveness of the CF-KEI will be directly impacted by its performance.

The CF-KEI when deployed will provide a 98 % blanket of protection for your major cities and military structures. While the eventual price may preclude many from the purchase of this city defense system, those who do will sleep better because of it.

We are nearing the capacity to field 2 CF-KEI's for proper external testing within Biologics borders. We have high hopes for it's intercept capability and coupled with the C.A.E.S.A.R SC and it's Nation Defense program should provide a high degree of safety from missile attack.

While the Tri-tanium CFC needs to be replaced monthly, we are still working on a harder composite to withstand the force of the TS as it's accelerated to speed. We are experimenting with the combination of a carbon + Nano sphere + Zirconium coating for our CFC, which to date has withstood the preasure, but has problems with fracturing.

MALFUNCTION

It appears one of our CFC's was not replaced after the previous stress test phase, thus placing enormous pressure upon an item already pushed past it's design. The result was a TS that pierced the inner wall of the CFC, exited the lab by way of a 18" thick concrete/biosteel wall and destroyed a local pizzeria.

The test was conducted during the night, so thankfully no biologics were injured. Though I must admit one researcher in charge of CFC inspection/Replacement has gone missing. :twisted: :roll:

While considered a failed test due to equipment destruction, the force exerted by the TS has inspired our researchers. The tests shall continue as scheduled using replacement parts and a blanket over the hole in our lab.

We hope to soon be able to provide you with a full view demonstration of the HP-KEI. :idea:

Currently we are completing the plan and doing final tests, this item hasn't been produced or deployed as of yet.

As for the after completion sales, our corporate leadership is in question on this matter. As we do not condone the use of WMD in either offensive or defensive operations, we are not sure if we are willing to release this technology yet.

In the future it will surely be deployed within our nation and region, as to what comes after that I can not say.

We are pleased that this system has been implement across our great region, certain.. elements within the Plaxtonian Military have been wondering what the policy on control is/shall be? Will we be able activate/de-actvate the system, and is it possible to manualy fire the CF-KEI to say, intercept a stricken satellite or the like?
