(OOC: Nation is 3 RL day's old at current)

Foreign relations department:

Due to the generous donation of 4.8 billion rlh by Ma-tek* and the contunual funding of the C-G government to our proud military, the following projects have been started:

Long Term:

-the development of Thermo-nuclear bombs through enriched uranium (Mined uranium currently being prossessed.) +

Reason: in accordence to the threat level in which the world is at today, Nuclear bombs would enable us to strike back where any nation strike at us first with their nuclear arsonal.

-The development of ICBM technology (or failing that, MRBM - Medium Range). +

Reason: The deploment of our nuclear arsonal in event of a hostile nuclear attack.

Short Term

-The retooling of several heavy industry factories to produce the Leopard A6 EX MBT **/#

-The production of 150 Leopard A6 EX MBT. #

-Acquiring 1500 LAV III with 25mm M242 Chain Gun or TOW-TUA launchers. ^

-MTVL-based ADATS launchers (amount depends on supply) ^

+ 4-5 RL days (1RL day = 1NS year)
# 1 RL day
^ 2 RL days

OOC: Ambitious? Very. Godmoding? I hope not, ^^;;. After all, it'll take about 5NS years to do it soo, ^^;;.

Internal memo in DoNT (Department of Nuclear Technologies):

Development of ICBM is going according to plan, however, a recent developmont has troubled us greatly.

A nuclear pile constucted in AFB (Armed Forces Base) -3 was found to be missing several grams of enriched Uranium.

We do not know where it has gone, our checkpoints do not recount any activity that would result in transporting any uranium from the site.

However, our intelligence agents have reported unusual movement in the boarderlands of our country.

If anyone has any information about this, please contact us.

Other developments:

Our research into ICBM technology has spawned a additional benifit. MRBM, otherwise known under the name of a "Cruise Missile" has been developed.

Production will commence in a month.

-1000MTVL-based ADATS launchers have been produced and are now on their way to be equiped to the infantry.

-All research into Nuclear and thermo Nuclear weapons have been finished. We hope to never have to develop any more than this.

Memo to the Office:

Project Brute Force and Project Orion have meshed well. Reasearch into the feasibility of this scheme seems to be high and testing is about 2-3 months away.

Blast Points (as they have come to be called) are being scouted as we speak. A total of Ten (10) need to be found and Severn (7) have been located so far.

However, sir, I have some reservations about this project. Though the Go for this operation would pretty much mean that the civilain popuation would not be there to hurt and that we have very little to lose, the force of that many Nuclear weapons exploding is still very much a consern for me.

End memo.

Bram Stroker: Hello, I'm Bram Stroker.

Tonight, we bring you a news story about a First in our nation.

As of 2:00pm today, the first manned Rocket our nation has made, blasted off the launch pad and made CG history as beeing the first of many space exploration missions.

On board the rocket, two of our freashly trained Astronots rode the piller of fire out of our atmosphere and into the dark depths of space.

Their cargo? A Geo-synced orbiter attached to a carbon-nanotube-composite ribbon. Once the Geo-Synched Orbiter is in place, the ribbon will be droped via controled decent back to earth and be connected to the ground, creating a so-called "space elevator"*.

Department of Space Technology (DoST):

Our second Space elevator is finished. The stuctures sitting atop of it are stuctually similiar to the first, however, are more heavily armored and armed.

As well, the first Magnetic Launcher has been completed. We can now launch pods into space via the launcher where the pods, containing anything from people to cargo, can fire their thrusters and dock with either of the two platforms.

This will enable us to reach space quicker then it we would through the elevator but also alow us a degree of re-useiblity as the Pods can be attached on to the slowly decending Elevator module and be safely reused.

The Third Batch (1000) have reached age 4 and seem to have not suffered from the uneven power distrabution of the Second batch.

21-12-2003, 07:23
The room darkened so that the only light was the projection on the wall.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. There have been rumers flying around Branches of the Government about this and that secret project."

A Rummbling filled the room as the people of the room figured that they were about to hear something concreat.

"It's name is Project Augmentation. Though it started as a study into the feasablity of altering the human genome, it became something much more than that.

As some of you know, there have been humans with extrodinary abilties around for years. Our own G.P Jee Leng Tan is one of our Strongest of these naturally enabled humans. Another of the strongest is his Son, Lt Hong Gui Tan.

Due to research in that direction, and generous donations from other Enabled individuals, we've established that the Enabling Gene, as we refer it, is a Autosomal, or non sex-linked, trait. Also, we now know, though it was hypothosised before, that it is a recessive trait instead of a dominant one. Though I'm sure we've all met enough people in our lives that don't have a clue that proves this without any reserch."

A wave of chuckles swept the audiance.

"Anyways, after we had managed to isolate the Enabling Gene, we tried to splice the gene into a modern human embryo. The result was a failure. The child was born without any sort of mental powers. Months of reserch followed the experiment and it was soon found that more than one gene went into forming those that are Enabled.

Here's were the heavy science part starts and were I'd start to lose about 99% of the people here. So, instead of making all of you feel like dumbasses, here's a metaphor. See, the Enabling gene is like one of those twist switches you sometimes see for lights. The more you turn the switch, the more light that comes one. For normal humans, the switch is stuck on very low. For naturally Enabled Humans, the switch seems to fall somewhere between High and Very High.

Infact, before we started our human experiments, we thought that the switch only had two settings and that all we needed was to find the Gene to turn it on.

By the time we found that other gene, the Flick Gene if you will, and we did another experiment with a Human embryo, we found out how wrong were were about the two settings."

The man in the front of the room paused to take a breath.
Canada-Germany
22-12-2003, 01:14
As the man paused to take a drink, the packed room seemed to shuffle. Though it was not a secret government meeting, neither was it open to the general public or press.

Of course, people can sneek their way into anything now-a-days.

The man finally continued.

"The second test done on a human embryo showed us something remarkable. The "Switch" if you would, was turned neither to very low or very high. Instead, it seems that an artifical turn of this gene alowed only a setting of "medium".

Children born with the switch turned by man could not contact each other via telepathy and only showed a weak ability to move objects.

However, it was soon discovered that, when working with another Enabled child, Man-enabled or Naturally-Enabled, their powers seemed to increase exponentially. Two man-Enabled children could pick up a 5kg weight. Three man-enabled children could pick up a 20kg weight. 4 could pick up a 50kg weight, and on and on.

Another surprising development was the discovery, through an unfortunet incident, that when a Enabled Child has accses to a power generator, it may proform great feats of Phychic ability. These Feats, of course, stress any generator being used, but we've adapted several that can be used for long periods at a time.

There is one more ability that is inharent to only those Naturally Enabled that those Man Enabled can not do. It has been found that a Naturally Enabled person is able to speed up his own movements and increase his strength to a certine degree.

We do not yet know if there is any corralation between the Strength in Enabled powers and the Strength in ability to "Step Up" as various Enabled Children have coined it."
