can i plz have 1000 matildas
22-08-2003, 10:49
Wow, $50 000 for a tank.. dirt cheap. However, I imagine that the dollars would be eaten up in maintainence costs. Also, it might well be a waste of $50 000 as these tanks would surely stand no chance against modern Abrams, Challengers and so on.

However, we are a new nation and we are looking to build up our military, and our Joint Commanders of Staff believe that these 'vintage' battle tanks would be a worthwhile investment.

We will look into this further...

Where were the tanks acquired from? Another nation or do you produce them yourself? What is the expected life of these tanks, ie how long will it last before it needs replacing?

Thanking you,
Dr. D. McWatt
Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Free Orange

BUMP. Also, do you have the dates when these tanks first entered service?
22-08-2003, 19:12
These tanks were researched in a official military book so I know they are right, if you think other wise then tell my uncle who is a major in the army and got me the info on the matilda.

These tanks are built in my country and last ranging from 2month to 2yrs

Thank you for the free lugers, however, we are not "nazis". The nation is called vichy france because de gualle, or president, became inspired in vichy, france, and in honour, named the new republic the vichy republic, or simply vichy france.

10,000 Colt M1911a1's = 550,000$

1,000 MG42's = 185,000$

2,000 MG34's = 350,000$

3,000 Bren Mk.3's = 435,000$

100 Matilda's = 1,500,000$

Total cost equals 3,020,000$

The Matilda was first armed with just one .303 cal. MG, and the MkII with a 2pdr (40mm) gun, not a 37mm. All hail the 2pdr! (parade of Cruisers mounting 2pdr guns and .303 mgs)

True but the 37mm was put on the earlier models to justify its speed ever so much more.
