Bloody hell, at 20K each will buy 500 without even thinking! Assuming, of course, that they won't fall apart when reaching the atmosphere, which is not a problem for, say, a camel, but is a problem when it comes to space fighters. You know what, assuming stock isn't too limited, we'd like to dispatch a survey team to make sure the things hold together even when thoroughly kicked. If this is the case, expect a major purchase. Really.

Don't worry, this thing is capable of operating in the atmosphere. In fact, its one of its main functions.

20,000 is the price listed on the site. I'm going by it.

Well, let as assume that my survey team found no problems with your fighters, mostly as they were drunk and enjoying their trip abroad, and that I placed an order for 1001 - I really do mean it - fighters... Pending one condition. I've only just realized that this is probably future-tech whereas I'm RPing current technology, which means that I probably cannot purchase this.

Survey Team: <Sobering up> You don't even currently exist! <Is left standing in midair>

Sorry, anyway.

Hmmm.... Well, I suppose I could purchase 300. 100 per system frieghter. Good thing they hang up and out of the way.

That would be... 3 million Crimmars(worth double USD) or 6 million Imperial Credits.

Money is being wired now.

Sweet, solar panels for the Huck standard price of a windmill... how much power do they produce? I imagine they're very efficient. I'd like 100 to place at remote outposts and serve as power sources. Two million wired. http://www.sc3000.com/forums/images/face1.GIF

Oh, and we have knowledge of space stuff; last week we spent $300 million to launch two used tissues into orbit. Muahahahahaha. http://www.sc3000.com/forums/images/face5.GIF

Requirements for buying these:

1. Must have a population of at least 75 million. Exceptions for allies.
2. Must have some knowledge of space technology. Even though these can be used in the atmosphere, these are primarily space fighters.
3. Must agree to never attack the Sean Empire with these purchased TIEs.

Number one, no problem.

Number three, as long as YOU don't attack me or any of my nation's allies, it's OK.

As for the second, does having a Geosynchronic Space Station/R&D lab count as "some knowledge of space technology"?

After looking at the specs, I think we can do maintenance on power plant and sensor systems, but not on weapons systems. Energy weapons are still out of our tech scope.

Could you sell these stripped of weapons systems?

And what cost difference would that make?

SE, STOP SELLING TIE TECH!

It's what makes our Alliance so unique!

Keep it inside the IA.

Oh.

I forgot.

I'm talking an order about 1000000 (one million) TIE fighters here.

At your last price, that's 20 bill.

You can check if I can afford that here (http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation=darksith&defenseprovided=1&defense=25&militarybudget=1).

I'll send the money upon confirmation of the order.

Have a nice day.

Actually, my fellow ruler, it is not. According to Imperial RoE, the TIE must be deployed in huge numbers to make up for the lack of shields.

They tend to be shot down, you know. :)

To avoid you further heartbreak about not being able to sell me anything, I can reassure you:

I contacted some former clients of the thread and acquired enough for my R&D Aerospace teams to examine and extract all available technology, including the energy weapons I didn't want.

So you can rest assured that everything is allright.

No hard feelings.

Have a nice day. I will.
