The Republic of Flappin Penguins has decided to be the unbiased judge of this years olympics. It has not yet been decided whether we will actually compete.
22-06-2003, 06:28

Tennis: Barbara Backhand (womens); Stephen Slam (mens)
Swimming: Teresa Tadpole (womens); Carl Cannon (mens)
Gymnastics: Unfortunately, the citizens of The Grand Duchy of Aurelius I are deathly afraid of hights and would never DREAM of even trying to jump high enough or swing on poles to enter this competition.
Sprint: Our citizens are more laid back than that.
Soccer Teams: The Pigeons (women); The Maggots (men)
Once again, thank you for your hospitality. We intend on arriving with all our athletes on the set date of June the 24th. A judge, Patty Particular will be accompanying the party.

The Drakonian government is currently considering entering the a team into each event and also committing judges to the Olympics. The government suspect that this will likely be decided short and the Imperium is fully suspected to compete in such an important event.

We would like to enter in the olympics to promote good sportsmenship(and sportswomenship to be politically correct) and good will between nations. These are our contenders:

TENNIS:
MENS
Talon Crollins
WOMENS
Jeanette Rigsby

HOCKEY:
The triball team Poppernickle Firebirds would like to try their hand at hockey, as triball is very similar to hockey, and they believe they should fare well.
Poppernickle Firebirds

SWIMMING:
MENS
Spike Torin
WOMENS
Julie Goodman

SPRINT:
MENS
Raptor Alman
WOMENS
Ellen Robinson

These are our entrants. We have no soccer or gymnastics entrants, because the majority of Maniacans frown upon those sports. We do have a baseball team though, the Kalosampton Dragons, who can wipe the floor with any challenger.

Sorry to break it to you, But there is NO official IOC! Only some amateures who made there own.
These olympics are the fist real olympics to be held. From this event, futere event will be organised
These are the official Olympics from the olympic commity.
If your IOC would want to become official, you should offer it to everyone, have free elections, and you should have something to offer for those who would want to join.
And as you have no power yet, you can't sanction anything, so please don't give that as an argument.
Give me a reason to join, and I just might

Fully recognizing that this is not IOC sanctioned, the New York City Region shall send a team anyway, in the interest of international goodwill and visiting newly founded nations.

We will send 12 swimmers (6m, 6f), 8 tennis players (4m, 4f), 20 gymnasts (6m, 14f), a male hockey team, and 6 sprinters (3m, 3f). All athletes will come from St. John's (www.redstormsports.com) University.

Idiot, if you even look at the IOC topic in NationStates you could actually see that you could join. But i'm going to make a reccomendation that you not be admitted simply because of your gall to say that it isn't official, even though every nation joined before you even MADE your nation.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Esteemed Nations of the world: No one is trying to usurp power from anyone else. This Olympics is being held to promote peace and unity throughout the known world. It is a time for nations to get to know each other and to work together. It is not meant to invite hostility from any nation.

OK, we've just been informed by the FP-IOC that we need to slim down to one competitor per event. Our hockey team, Cornell University, served as the judges for our Prelims. There were tense moments and lots of tears, but NYCR's team is:
Swimming: Pawel Sokolowski (44.28 in the 100m!) and Elizabeth Malinowski
Tennis: Arnaud Agniel and Serena Williams (ringer!)
Gymnasts: Nitai Kfir and Irina Khouade (vault, uneven bars, parallel bars floor, horse, rings, and balance beam)
Sprinters: Dewayne Barrett and Shernette Hyatt-Davis

In the men's hockey event the never-setting sun representatives were held to a one all draw in the final by the runner ups but in the end triumphed with a goal in extra time from Dravid Fusilage, they were overjoyed, unfortunately their female counterparts could only recieve their medals without showing their brilliance as there were no opoonents to play when the team turned up at the stadium.
28-06-2003, 00:24
Nice job!! However, you must realize that as the nations of the athletes, you are a bit biased. The judges will make the final decisions as to who will receive the medals.

Cornell took to the ice with trepidation. They were the champions in their country, but who knew what sort of players the world held? After losing their first game in the round-robin to the Red Dragons (0-2), however, Cornell put together victories against Maniaca (3-1), Never-Setting Sun (3-2, OT), and Sniper Country (1-0). With 8 points, that left them and the Darditon Dragons standing for the finals.
Fusilage was clearly leading the attack in regulation time, but something seemed amiss about him in overtime. Goalie LeNeveu couldn't quite put his finger on it. During a stoppage Defensiveman Cook came over.
"Is he using a composite stick?"
"Dammit, Cook, you're right!"
Composite sticks were A-OK in the pros, but international rules strictly forbade them. No wonder Fusilage's arms didn't seem tired.
As puck dropped at center ice, LeNeveu flagged down the linesman. The linesman skated over, whistle in hand, but a hard check threw Forward Abbott into him. "Concentrate!" LeNeveu thought, but it was too late. While he was looking right at the collision, the puck rocketed through the diving Cook to Fusilage, who tipped a one-timer into the upper left an instant ahead of LeNeveu's glove.

Men's 100
Pawel had been waiting all week for this moment. He had thought of nothing else since his selection to the NYC team. The gun went off and he shot forward like a missile. 44.03 seconds later, he found himself against the wall, gasping for air. He knew he had just bested the school record that he himself had set just weeks before, but he didn't realize by how much until he looked up at the scoreboard...

Alan Belmore Vs Arnaud Agniel Umpire-The Rifles of Sniper country
"It was a cold afternoon when Alan Belmore and Arnaud Agniel stepped onto center court for a highly anticipated game.
1st Set
The coin was flipped and Agniel won and chose to serve first.
After a few messy points Agniel had Belmore down to 2 breakk points Alan Belmore Aced Agniel twice bringing it to duce then followed a long rally resulting in Alan Belmore slamming the ball giving him the advantage. Belmore's next serve hit the center line and Agniel streching for it looked like he got an injury but still he insisted he played on the score was 1-1.

A few superb games later Agniel was serving to stay in the set the score was 30-40 and Agniel hit a new world record 150 mph serve which Belmore returned high Agniel ran back to his line, the umpire called it in. Agniel was outraged, video footage showed it to be out. This serouisly raises questions about whether the judge from Sniper country should be allowed to continue to judge in the competion.
Set score 6-3

Set 2
It was obvious that the last point got to Agniel he was playing scrappily and after 4 games he was 3-1 down and loosing his serve 15-40! He served wide Belmore raced to get it and hit an easy ball right to the raquet of Agniel who hit it straight in the net, another sign of his fustration. 4-1.
Belmore then kept his serve and Agniel was 15-30 down on his serve He aced Belmore twice bringing the score to 40-30 but an excellent return from Belmore took the score to duce. A double fault gave Belmore match point. Then came the best rally of the match the ball wasw flying end to end, Agniel lobbed it try to hit it above Belmore but Belmore made a perfect spike winning the game 6-3 6-1!
The set reults are in order of the people so if a beat c 6-4 2-6 7-5 it would be shown as c Vs aWINS 4-6 6-2 5-7

(OOC: Okay, just so people don't get pissed at me for Bart winning the 800m, I want to say the following things.

Running is the national sport of Sniper Country. It is promoted from birth. Funding for Sports and Recreation is a top priority. The citizens of Sniper Country run for fun, health, competitions, whatever. There are few obese people in Sniper Country. Running receives more attention than any other sport here. We are supposed to ranked highly or near the top on the running performances. All other sports in Sniper Country are given very little attention, such as hockey, soccer, football, basketball, and all those other things. All we really care about is running. Also, Bart Abraham is the World Record Holder in the 800m and the Mile- I can find the threads if you need proof.

So go ahead and say my results were unfair. Go ahead and say Bart Abraham did not win. Oh well.

The reason the other runners were not talked about much in the 800 was because they were running everything from the 100-1500m, and they should be either saving up, or tired as crap.

Also, 44.03 seconds is more like a 400m time, not a 100m. A 100m time would be anywhere sub 10.)

So you won the 800metres and I won the soccer im cool with that.

Semi Finals
Alan Belmore Vs Richard Jones
Match Report
Set 1
Richard Jones showed his undoubted talent braking Alan's serve without Belmore even taking a point. But then things stated to go all wrong again Sniper Country's judge failed to give correct decisions leaving Belmore 5-1 up and serving for the set. Belmore cooly dispaced of him game-30.

Set 2
The next set hhowever was much closer with long rallies leving Belmore down 5-6 with Jones serving. Jones aced Belmore every time showing that when put under such pressure he fautered. The set fell to Jones 7-5

Set 3
Belmore started better this set braking and going 2-0 up. Jones took the next with Belmore then holding his serve the set at 3-1 Belmore then put on a stunning performance to get the next two sets making it 5-1 and Jones serving to stay in the match. After 6 amazing rallies the score was duce the ball was served down the middle Belmore returned wide forcing Jones to place the pall straight in the net. Match point Belmore was looking composed as was Jones, he made an excellent serve clipping the first of the tram lines on Belmore's right. Belmore returned with power onto his left of the court an amazing spike from Jones was tapped just above the net by Belmore, one bounce, the ball was falling, Jones just got his raquet under it, the ball flew high in the air only to be greeted by a perfect smash by Belmore winning the match 6-1 7-5 6-1.

OK, I'm just an observer, but it's pretty obvious that Jay Cutter was doing SWIMMING. Swimmers shoot like missles, end up against walls, and gasp for air. And a 44.03 would beat the world record for the 100m freestyle.

Emirate News Network

ENN Logo flashes while a Loud Booming Voice says, "Reporting live is Ariana Bird in the capital of Flappin Penguins, on the latest with Flappin Penguins' International Olympics."

A strikingly beautiful black skinned woman stands before the camera behind her a women's soccer practice is going on. "I am Ariana Bird reporting from the practice session of the Drakonian Imperium's Women's team the Trinidad Amazons, as they prepare for their next game."

The reporter doesn't even flinch as a soccer ball goes flying by her head and the sound of shattering glass is heard in the distance. "Amazon fans will be glad to here that last night's game was another faced paced slaughter for the Amazon's opponents. While The Stalkers of Sniper Country put up a valiant defense and were even able to score a goal by the games end the Amazon's score of 8 goals left them with another victory."

Behind the report a soccer ball can be seen blasting through the netting on a goal. "This is not new for the Amazons, as the best team in the Imperium and the United Emirates region and alliance, they have played some pretty impressive teams, including the North Althon, Australius, and Tersanctus national women's teams. In fact, recently the Amazons beat the Drako Legionaires in the Drakonian Imperium National Gender Cup, for the sixth year in a row. The game was so tense that one of the Legionaires members had to be taken to a hospital in the middle of the game and treated for a broken leg, arm and concussion. We hope the Amazons again show their stuff in the forthcoming game. This is Ariana Bird report."

The screen again changes to the ENN Logo and the Loud Booming Voice is heard again saying, "This was a ENN News Bulletin."

OOC: Sniper Country, I hope you don't mind my victory. I just wanted to show how good of a soccer team the Amazons are. Soccer is among the Drakonian Imperium nationally prefered sports and is taken very seriously. I want to RP other Amazons games, too and hope other nations will RP there games to the finish and finals.

OOC: As I said, they are bit of a overpowerful team so your "Valiant Defense" was better than that of the Talibans. Just thought I'd give them an astounding victory. While I will disappointed to see Brian Stallion get defeated again, I would except it with the caliber of your runners and the other competitors. I do however hope to at least bring a gold home in one of the running events as the Imperium's runner are high-caliber also (though it appears a bit lower caliber than yours), but it looks like not the 1500m. I'm more a sprinter myself. Anyway, I figure maybe to win one of the other runs, but, it's the Olympics who knows who will win.

OOC: Actually, come to think of it I am a distance runner more than a sprinter (although, I don't suck at sprinting). I just like to think of myself as a sprinter, but in distance I tend to push myself to the very limit. Lately, though I haven't done any running and not even in events. I am now in a state were hay fever is so bad I go asmatic if I push to hard, which sucks royally as I alway push myself to hard. Anyway, in the NS Universe, I was thinking if any Drakonian male runner would win it would be Brian Stallion, although, surprises happen. I am currently hoping one of my female runners will win (hint, hint, to whoever post next running event). On with the games....

MNB(Maniacan News Bureau) Broadcast: If you have been following the International Olympics in Sniper Country, you know that a few days ago, Raptor Alman, the Maniacan Men's Runner recently placed sixth in the 200 meter. While he was watching the swimming event, several men in black suits approached him, and beckoned for him to come with them. When he returned, he looked pretty bad-off, with a black eye and several bruises on his arms.

Hehe...Just kidding. Though many Maniacans were disappointed by his sixth place run, they support him all the way in the upcoming runnning events(there will be up coming running events right?).

The Mens Tennis final
Alan Belmore Vs Tommy Arinder
The players were determined to get this match underway after it being called off yesterday due to bad weather. Belmore won the toss and served first.
Set 1
A closley fought set with many rallies. Both players holding their serves and the game went to four all. Belmore was serving. Now he looked cool calm and collected, he aced Arinder in all but one of the seves. Arinder by now was looking worried. This was his biggest moment in his life. Surley he could not muck it up. He served "fault" called the umpire. The nerves were getting to him when annoyingly a streaker from Klaxalcalcutta ran on the pitch. This unnerved Arinder more than Belmore and due to many unforced errors Belmore took the first set.

Set 2
Belmore was getting more and more confident. Arinder had not scored a point until Belmore's second serve. Belmore confidently kept his serve making the score 3-0. The was more humiliation for Arinder as he made 3 double faults in his serve but still, lukily for him, managed to keep his serve. Belmore took his serve confidently and Arinder knew there was nothing he could do. Belmore's serves were just to good for him. Belmore was 4-2 up he kept his serve and took Arinder down to duece on his. Arinder was shaking. His 4 years practice relied on these two points. He double faulted. Belmore had championship point. Arinder served it down the middle Belmore returned with might. Arinder lunged for the ball knoking it just over the net, but a superb lob by Alan Belmore sealed the match.
"Game, Set, Match, Championship"shouted the umpire. Belmore juped with glee. He was the world champion. Belmore lifted the cup overcome with happieness. He was the best in the world. He had done his country proud with their national sport! He is the most popular person in The Belmore Family at the moment!

1. OK, I apologize for the very vague Men's 100. Yes, it should be swimming.
2. I'll support the standings of all the events, except hockey. Are any other nations interested in supporting or denying my protest in Men's Hockey? (OOC: I only want to go through w/this if the rest of you find it entertaining)
3. Since no one's done it yet ...Women's 100 Swimming
*sploosh* And the ladies are off in the 100m freestyle! Folks at home, that's Liz Malinowski in lane 3! Teresa Tadpole off to an early lead. The swimmers from Wishik and Carpage got bad starts in the bottom lanes. At the 50 wall, that's Sarah Belmore in the lead, just beating Teresa, but she's flagging! Julie Goodman third to the wall in lane 2, and that's Elizabeth in fourth with a brilliant spin and she's passing Goodman! Goodman is keeping up! They've got Tadpole in their headlights! Six strokes left and they are nearly synchronized, and it's going to come down to arm lengths! Goodman hits! Liz-Tadpole, silver-bronze! What a finish! Liz is out of the pool and it looks like she's going to sit with Sarah Belmore to watch the results. Oh, my, that was close!

Mens 1500
Oliver Belmore lined up. He could see that the feild was looking good and was going to have a tough time to beat them. The starting pistol fired and Bart Abram was leading. Belmore fitted nicley in second and Jay Gibbins in third. After one lap the place had not changed. On lap two however Ricky Fularton comfertably took the lead. Belmore decided to follow him. So did Abram.Down the home straight 2 laps left. The front three were pulling far away from the others. Jay Gibbins was starting to catch up. In fact he overtook them and was steaming ahead. But that was short lived and on the final lap they were on a charge, Belmore leads, Abram leads, Fularton leads. It went to the final straight and Fularton was pulling out infront then Belmore and then Abram. In the end it was quite clear cut.

GOLD Ricky Fulerton 4:36

Wow, Sniper Country's got a lot, and I got a gold recently. Talon stank up the tennis courts, I'm sure he'll get a warm welcome when he returns to Maniaca  . Has anyone RPd hockey yet? I'd like to.

Okay, I just looked at the mens 1500m, and that is total crap. Bart has the WR in the mile, which is 109.699m more than a 1500m. Bart's last time-trial on the 1500m- three weeks before the actual Games, was 3:28.96. I am only 17, and can run a 4:22 1500m. I run a 4:46.75 mile. Please, that was total crap.

Wow. You can run a mile in 4 minutes?!? That's fast! I do it in 8!(Maybe cuz' I'm twelve, but still!)

The runners lined up and prepared to burst forth on the track. Seconds past as they tensed waiting, and then the gun went off and they blasted forth running at top speed. It first it was neck-and-neck with Louise Belmore (The Belmore Family) and the Unnamed Runner from Of Arcel, but they tired over exerting themselves and the Laura Howarth (Sniper Country) running followed closely by the Sarah Gordi (The Never-Setting Sun) and Rebekah Marathon (Drakonian Imperium) take the lead. For a while they lead pounding down the track, but Sarah Gordi tires and is past by Rebekah Marathon and Shernette Hyatt-Davis (Jay Cutter). The runner still pound down the track finally nearing the finish line. Again Sarah Gordi burst forth and passes first Shernette Hyatt-Davis and then comes neck-and-neck with Rebekah Marathon. A battle ensues with both runners trying to gain the lead. So intense is it, that neither realizes they have passed Laura Howarth who now struggles to regain her lead. Finally, Rebekah Marathon pulls ahead of Sarah Gordi and gains the lead, just seconds from crossing the finish line. Then tragedy, just feet from the finish line. With a collective gasp from the crowd, Rebekah Marathon trips and falls. Sarah Gordi pulls past her follow closely by Laura Howarth. Rebekah Marathon throws herself up and with one final lunge is across the finish line, only to collapse again. The other running rush back to help her hobble off the field, her ankle broken and knees skinned.

The swimmer's shot off at the sound of the gun. Pawel Sokolowski (Jay Cutter) quickly taking the lead. Slightly behind him Spike Torin (Maniaca) and Ian Belmore (The Belmore Family) battle it out for second. Ian Belmore pulls ahead and milliseconds later Carl Cannon (Aurelius I) pulls even with Spike Torin. For a second, Pawel Sokolowski is passed by Ian Belmore, but he recovers finished just milliseconds before Ian Belmore. The swimmer impatiently watch the board waiting for the results, but for a while only the first two times are displayed. The other swimmer wait impatiently, looking to the judges. Something seems wrong though, the judges appear to be arguing back and forth. It seem there has been some sort of error with the timing camera with the 2nd and 3rd Swimmers. Finally a compromise is met.

Pawel Sokolowski (Jay Cutter) - 44:03 (GOLD)
Ian Belmore (The Belmore Family) - 44:39 (SILVER)
Spike Torin (Maniaca) - 44:9? (BRONZE; TIED)

(OOC: Rather than assuming I won, I'll leave this as is so the rest of you have a shot)

OOC: *Looks Confused* I don't remember Arbra signing up to compete. If you want to join in, though, I don't see a problem, might want to check with the other competing nations, though.

A side note to all I didn't mean to imply that by RPing you automaticly won. Anyone, curious might want to go back look at the event already RPed. Part of RPing is allowing others to win at times. Anyway, suggest you look a couple of pages back as that is when most of the RPing has taken place.

Another side not, this time to all other competing nations. Can we get the RPing going again. I am really interest in seeing how many more metals, my competitors can win. Please. *Puts on Pleading Face*

The Rifles had arrived at the ice first, and were shooting around, when the Blademasters came. It looked as though a fight was brewing, but there was no trouble before the puck dropped. The Rifles got the face-off, and the defense shot up to the Right Wing, across ice to Left...shoot, save, check. Scoreless at the end of one. Halfway into the 2nd period, the Rifles' Center was called for roughing. The Blademasters won the ensuing face off, and charged up the ice. The Center broke away from the rest and was all alone when he got the pass. He skated forward. He drawed his stick back, and it clipped his pursuer on the jaw, causing him to drop to the ground. The referees whistle was unnoticed, and he shot hard. It rang off the post, bouncing forward. The goalie reached out to grab it, but the center whisked the puck away from the ground back to the Right wing. The goalie had slipped, and was slow to get up, leaving the goal wide open for the score. Of course, it was negated due to the high sticking penalty. The center was livid, as was the rest of the team. The one who was hit was still on the ground when the goal was scored, and now was getting up slowly. He would have to ice down the sore for a few minutes before he could play again. Now it was four vs. four on the ice. The Rifles got the puck and went down ice with it. The Defenseman poked it away, and passed it up the Left wing. It was a two on one. The Rifle coach needed a time out desperately. Then, the penalty for roughing was expired, and he came out on the ice, in the nick of time, barely getting in the way of a one-timer pass which surely would have ended in the back of the net. The Rifles called a time out, and by the end of that the persuer who was high sticked was back on the ice, with a large black mark on his mouth. An uneventful few minutes passed, and the teams were back at full strength. The black and blue fellow was a Defenseman. He had chosen a target. He left his jurisdiction to get in on the offensive action behind the net, leaving one defender at the blue line. The Defenseman went around the other way of the center that popped him, who was in a battle for the puck with his teammate Right Wing, and throttled them both. The referees desperately wanted to blow a whistle, but there was no foul on the play. The three people were all down on the ice, leaving the active players 4-3 in the Blademasters' favor. The puck was cleared out, but not the tensions. The third period expired, the game still scoreless. The clock ticked down to the final 3 minutes. The Drakonian Imperium had the puck, at full strength, in the offensive zone. Defender pass to the Right Wing in the circle, passes over the middle....SHOOT, SAVE rebound by Sniper Country, Poked, GOAL! The puck was poked into the goal by a Blademaster Defenseman. The goalie had rested, thinking that the Rifles had the puck securely, but it got quickly poked away. 30 seconds later, the Rifles had answered back, the Center on an assist from the sore defenseman. Regulation ended with the teams tied at one-one. The arena was a bucket of nerves. The Rifles won the starting faceoff. It was passed to a defenseman, who passed it to the black and blue defender, who was then immediately leveled by the center. The center bent over to gloat, but was smacked instantly the ice by the other defenseman. A right wing then hit him to the ground, but he spun around before he fell and brought him down too. Obviously, a fight had broken out. The referees were not happy, as there was supposed to be no fighting in the olympics, but there was nothing they can do, they couldn't stop a hockey player from fighting. All they knew was that they would be handing out huge fines for this after the game. Finally the dust settled, and it was three on three. All the players had been involved in the fight, but this was the least they could play. Still, it was a violent overtime period, but one that ended with no scores. They couldn't call it a tie, due the playoff nature of the match, so they started a second OT. The Blademasters had the puck at the wrong end of the ice, but were speedily charging forward. The Left Wing had beaten his man and had a breakaway chance. He took the puck to the side for a wrist shot, but then, the Rifle defender slid into the back of his legs from behind. No one was hurt, but the Blademaster was still yelling. He was awarded a penalty shot. He charged forward, Brought his stick way back, and fired...............straight into the chest of the goalie. He was very winded. Luckily, for him, the Defender and left wing had started yelling again, so he had some time to Catch his breath. The Blademasters got the puck again. Hurtling up the ice, they passed a zigzag pattern and finally shot...and missed, pretty badly. The Rifles race with the puck back upwards. By far the fastest team in the tournament, it was a two on 0. The goalie knew he was toast. There was no way he could save this. Then, the one with the puck slipped. He relaxed, and reached out for the puck, and he got shot right in the skate. The bell rang, the arena roared, but it was cut short. The Blademasters picked the puck up again and started skating back, with the Rifles still jawing at the ref. The replay clearly showed it was stopped by the skate before it touched the line, was claearly not a goal, and someone up in the stadium goofed by setting off that tone. Amazingly, the Rifle goalie saved the shot. By now it was a new series, the Blademasters with the puck. Then, it was amazing. The Left wing just popped it over the goalie's shoulder into the net. No, not over...It actually bounced on the goalie's shoulder. Both bells rang. The Blademasters had finally put this one away.

Drakonian Imperium

The runners lined up on the track, tensed, and waited for the gun. A second past and then the crack of the starter gun was heard. The runners burst forth on the track, Tara Satterfield (Sniper Country) and Andrea Herrin (Wishik) taking the lead. Leading the pack behind them, comes Ellen Robinson (Maniaca), then Rebecca Belmore (The Belmore Family), and Unnamed Runners of Iseldiroedd and Of Arcel.

From the sidelines the Drakonian Olympic Team watched, giving their sympathy to Rebekah Marathon, who had broken her ankle giving Drakonian a Bronze metal in the 1500m. The other Drakonian female runner, Leola Bell, would be running the 400m, but she had not been ready to take over the 800m, so no Drakonian contestant was racing now.

The runners shot forward, the leaders falling behind as the pack closed in on them. Ellen Robinson suddenly blasted forward and took the lead, Andrea Herrin just inches behind her. With a burst of speed, Andrea Herrin takes the lead. Tara Satterfield, pulls ahead of Ellen Robinson and then is passed by Rebecca Belmore.

The conflict continues with Rebecca Belmore overexerting herself in the push for the lead and falling behind. Ellen Robinson, too soon loses her position, leaving Andrea Herrin and Tara Satterfield to clash for dominance in the race. Andrea Herrin slows and Tara Satterfield takes the lead.

Then as everything seems assured, Andrea Herrin calls the last of her energy in a final sprint for the finish line and takes the lead crossing the finish line just ahead of Tara Satterfield. Just behind them comes, Ellen Robinson, followed closely by Rebecca Belmore and the rest of the pack.

Andrea Herrin (Wishik) - 1:43.75 (GOLD)
Tara Satterfield (Sniper Country) - 1:44.28 (SILVER)
Ellen Robinson (Maniaca) - 1:46.02 (BRONZE)
Rebecca Belmore (The Belmore Family) - 1:48.67 (4th)
Unnamed Runner (Iseldiroedd) - 1:49.87 (5th)
Unnamed Runner (Of Arcel) - 1:49.99 (6th)
Shernette Hyatt-Davis (Jay Cutter) - 1:51.12 (7th)
Rebekah Marathon (Drakonian Imperium) - Pulled-Out (INJURED)

OOC: Sniper Country, I already RPed the Swimming Men's 100m on the page before my last Judge's Rankings. I just made a mistake and put the ranking for it as the Fifteenth Event when it should have been the fourth.
