EDIT: First, an apology. I've been away for quite some time, which means that the requests for inclusion have piled up. Tempted though I am to discard the lot, I daresay this would be frowned upon by the discarded. I will catch up, but it may take me a couple of days. I should also - have, indeed, promised to delete references to nations now no longer in existence, but this is currently low priority. Second, a note: telegramming requests isn't a good idea. Only the last ten telegrams are recorded, and I gravely - well, not gravely, but definitely uncontendly - fear that some telegrams may have been thus lost. If you telegrammed me and weren't included, post this thread, or I'll have the bogeyman eat you. A threat’s as good as a feast, at least as far as the bogeyman is concerned. Generally speaking, fear not to post this thread – I’m a fast reader – especially when detailing credit card numbers and the like (I'm even a faster reader when this is the case. I've been known to break the sound barrier and charge someone else for it).

This is a list of "storefront" threads, edited by yours truly in OOC capacity. Storefront threads are defined as threads in which a country sells goods - bombers, fruit, camels or whatever else is on its mind and in its pockets - that are regularly checked by their creator ("regularly" not meaning "every other year"), who accepts and confirms orders and possibly updates his stock. Running a store is different than having a one-time sale. You might not want to kill your costumers, for one. If you're interested in having a thread of yours listed, post a message on this thread. If you notice that a owner of shop thread found in this list has neglected his duties, left the game or can no longer fulfill his obligations on account of being nuked (although I'd have to get his or her approval on that one), let me know and I'll have it removed from the list, which isn't as terrifying as I meant it to be.

Companies may appear more than once under different categories.
Privately or publicly owned, non-government, and, most important, mostly independent companies (a company can be publicly traded and yet still have all its decisions made for it by the government. That is what democracy is often about. “You vote, we decide”) are marked with a '+'. If this applies to your company, make sure you mention it in your post.
Nations marked with a '*' have made a Monty Python reference in submitting their thread(s).
Describe in your post what it is that you're selling (for instance, "guns, clocks and cows"). You may also specify what categories do you deem appropriate for your store. Generally speaking, should a store fit in two different categories, I'll place it in both. Should it fit in more, however, it is likely to be sentenced to the horror that is "Other". This is important, as I am no military expert, and have drowned quite a few Gunships before finding out what they were. In addition, you might want to specify whether your RPing Future-Tech, Current-Tech or Fantasy/Medieval. (Alas, somebody has yet to RP Stone Age.)
References deleted will be mentioned in posts in this thread titled "Deletion". This means that if you have too much free time you can keep track of all nations that have been mentioned.
If you provide your own entrees - that is, post your links using the format I use, including descriptions - I'll do my best to insert them at they were submitted (this does not mean that I'll let you submit advertisements and the like, nor make false claim about selling man-eating elephants). Generally speaking, if you submit a plain link, I enter your thread to see what it is you're selling, usually scanning the first post for details. Bear in mind that I may not be most accurate and may accidentally skip things, so it is in your best interests to submit your own descriptions. Quote, Cut and Paste are my three best friends. I was just re-reading your main post when I saw the comment about government-owned vs. independant businesses.

Basically, WA's weapons are produced by several companies in parallel to Israel's system:
The government owns little (10%) or none of the companies, but development programs seem to be very closely integrated. Technically, GIAI (Greater Israeli Aircraft Industries), El Op (Optical targeting and guidance systems), GIMI (Greater Israeli Military Industries), GIMC (Greater Israeli Motor Company), GINY (Greater Israel Naval Yards), and other WA companies are all somewhat independant of the government. They receive hand-outs as any good weapons contractors tend to receive, but they are private or semi-public companies.

Due to trade regulations, the companies cannot be combined and they cannot wage economic warfare against competitors within Western Asia or even Greater Israel.

B. As for the desired '+' status: obviously, this is NationStates, so it is entirely up to you. The question arises of what is a truly independent weapon-making firm. I very much doubt whether such a thing exists outside of the US (whose weapon development procedures are worthy of the envy of all else. Occasionally one thinks that DARPA makes the world go around). And yet, even the US won't allow a local firm to sell weapons to its enemies [1]. It is important to note that being marked with a '+' has, despite its definition (which I should probably revise), several other meanings as well. Basically, the question is this: who decided what it is your firms develop? Is it market demand or the requirement of Western Asia? And, come to that, how big a say has Western Asia as regards weapon exports? (Obviously, a big say; all countries have that as relates to their own weapon manufacturers. The question is how big, and is the decision based on coin flipping.)

[1] The world of weapon producers is rough. Promotion is quick, and yet descent is quicker, often due to gravity. The difference is apparent; you get promoted in one piece, but leave your CEO office as several charred remains.

No. I'm afraid current policty strictly forbids both advertising and pricing (I did add the fact that it is both a fighter and a CAS jet, although I have no idea what does "CAS" mean(, the first because this is meant to be a directory, the second because I'm lazy. There are ways to get around this. If this is really important to you, rename the product "OMDKE-1" (One Million Dollar KE-1) or something like that. If this is the official product name, I'll add it. This may seem harsh, but otherwise this will go on and on. (Another way to advertise your product is by making a Monty Python reference, which will earn you a '*'.)

You'd better. With so many weapons being sold, I know more than a couple of chaps who could beat you, the world and the solar system into a pulp, the latter two purely by accident. Generally speaking, it is hardly surprising that there are few independent corporations. This is partially attributed to the fact that quite a lot of people sell weaponry, which is naturally government-owned throughout most of the world (bar, as I said in another post in this thread, the US, whose conduct in this field is truly amazing). In addition, while one theoretically RPs both a nation and individuals within it... Private corporations come and go, nations remain until deleted by moderators.

A. There is no need to apologize. I am not doing this because somebody made me to, except, of course, the little yellow pixies, and I've come to think of them as family.
B. "Other"? I've been striving to keep "other" as short as possible. You have no idea how tempting it is for me to classify everything as "Other". Still, drop me a not when you expend and I'll be sure to update your position.
