Previous prices aren't good any more (AFE went from $200 - much too low, to $500 - fair profit but not low enough to get many sales, to $400; PE-1 went from $30 to $50).
AFE-1
Price: $400
Quick Summary: Improved AKM that looks like an M16A2 with a Galil grip
Picture: Available here. (http://www.meatballs.terminator.org.uk/images/AFE1m2.jpg) Thanks to Crookfur. :)
Features:
Easier to repair
Longer-lasting parts
Innards better protected from the elements
Reloads quicker
M16A2-style sights, making it easier to aim
Cloth bag to catch the cartridge casings
Galil-style pistol grip
Ambidextrous controls
M16A2-style fore-end
Shorter (vertically & stock-to-flash suppressor)
Bayonet mounted sideways on side of barrel, so it can be used whether or not a grenade launcher is fitted
Flash suppressor compatible with NATO rifle grenades
Quick-change barrel
Simplified as much as possible
PE-1
Price: $50 with 2 magazines
Cartridge: caseless to reduce weight, heavy subsonic bullet (You can get guns that fire bullets like those used in other countries, so people blame your enemies.)
Rate of Fire: 450 rounds per minute, low enough that trained soldiers can pull off single shots
Range: 100 meters
Life: 2 magazines
Magazine: cheap & simple 65-round helix around the barrel
Various features for light weight & compact size
Various features to keep it controllable in long bursts.
Designed for low firing signature (auditory & visual).
Built mostly of plastic to reduce weight.
Shipped in the form of a sealed box; pulling the gun open readies it for firing.
Clear instructions printed on the outside.
AFE-1 Bullpup Kit
Price: $250
This kit changes various parts of the AFE-1 to reduce length by about 10 inches and weight by about one pound, and is easily installed with simple tools. With this modification, the trigger feels funny and you can only fire from one side of the weapon without taking the gun apart and reversing some parts.
OOC: *Wonders what he did with the default caliber of the PE-1 :o* I think it was 9mm, but I can't remember.
