Sealift/Military Transport ships for export.

The design of the EM-90 Manatee Sealift ship was created after a Navy and Army requirement for a ship capbable of moving, heavy cargo, ammunition supplies, fleet replenishment stocks or tanks and armoured vehicles.
THE EM-90 MANATEE STRATEGIC SEALIFT SHIP
The ship has a cargo capacity of over 13,000t with 395,000 square feet of available cargo area. The ship is equipped for the following operations: roll-on/roll-off and lift-on/lift-off for vehicles and transport containers which can be transfered onto a pier in-stream up to Sea State 3. The ship is also equipped for lift-on/lift-off onto transport lighterage, i.e flat-bottomed cargo-transporting barges.
The ship has a centreline stern slewing ramp, a port and starboard sideport ramp system, and hydrauliccargo hatches in three holds, making it easyeasy to drive vehicles on and off the ship -- speeding loading and off-loading operations to just 96 hours total per ship. Ramps between decks ease traffic flow once cargo is loaded aboard ship. The cargo holds are equipped with environmental control systems, foam firefighting and de-watering systems. A list control system provides stability to compensate for arrangement of the cargo.
The ship's decks have ample open space for lashing down helicopters, tanks, trucks and other large vehicles. it. Two 110-ton single pedestal-twin cranes make it possible to load and unload cargo where shoreside infrastructure is limited or nonexistent.
These Strategic Sealift Ships are equipped with a satellite navigation receiver with a global positioning system, the LORAN C long-range high-accuracy Cytac navigation system, RDF radio direction finding system, a Doppler speed log, Echo depth sounder and a comprehensive communications suite.
In an emergency situation part of the vessel can be converted as a hospital ship with two operating theatres and up to 250 beds.
There are two gas turbine engines, each with an output of 32,000bhp. There are two shafts with 24ft controllable pitch propellers providing 95rpm at full power. There are two bow thrusters.
Dimensions:
Length 950 feet
beam 108 feet
Design draft 33 feet
Scantling draft 37 feet
Displacement 62,800 tons
Total cargo stowage area 393,000 square feet
Speed and endurance:
Design speed 26 knots
Range at design speed 14,800 miles
Helicopters: There is one helicopter platform forward of the bridge which can accomodate any helicopter up to Ch-53/Chinook/Sea King size but there are no hangar facilities.
Armament: Nominally no weapons are fitted to the vessel although stinger/Igla short range SAM systems and other weapons such as 20mm gun positions can be fitted by the customer.

PRICES
EM-90 MANATEE: $200 million
Construction can begin as soon as the required funds have been wired and construction will take approximately 3 months.
Due to the size of the ships and therefore the amount of shipyard space they require orders larger than five will take about twice this amount of time.
OOC: Like a week and a half RL time I guess.

Many thanks, i have actually been looking for decent bulk transporters and have had to fudge by using "merchant marine" vessels that appeared out of thin air...
We would love them, but we can't afford them. Do you have any cheaper ships, because we live on a pretty isolated pacific island paradise.

What a pity when it isnt selling advanced fighter planes at godmoddingly low prics to thousands of brand new third world countries who should just about be able to afford turbopropsthe threads get ignored. A pity indeed, this is a an INTERESTING and unusual post, so is the transport pane one, nut no,no,no if it doesnt have thousand sof highly advanced weapon systems then it isnt needed is it? Fortuanately we already have this type of ship and in any case we dont hve the money for one, but remember all nations who ignore this, how the hell do your tanks and troops get to the combatzone. Walk? or more likely as Elias said earlier Warp!

Mac Cumhail

The Republic of Mac Cumhail is, at this time, unable to make a purchase of such a fine vessel, because we lack the power to sufficiently project major military force while simeltaneously protecting our own borders.
However, if at all possible, could we perhaps enter into negotiations with the designers of this vessel to develop a smaller naval infantry transport for use by our fledgling coast guard?

We appreciate your nation's situation, exactly what type of vessel would you be interested in? I first recommned checking out my storefront (link in signature) and if there is nothing appropriate there we would consider developing something specially for you.
