Currently the business from the Drakonian Imperium have become heavily invested in the development of the Incorporated States of Andaman and Nicobar (AaN). Below is a list of the corporations that have decided it would be profitable to invest in the growing nations.

Info-Tec

It is surprising that Info-Tec would still be interested in AaN after a Info-Tec employee was executed by Nicobar officials accidentally (further Information Available Here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31340&highlight=)), but Info-Tec has continued to make a profit in AaN despite the nation's struggles. Recently, they have invested heavily in RTOs Sutherland Plaza.

Royal Trinidadian Oil (RTO)

Perhaps the corporation that has invested the most in AaN's future, having built two oil rigs and refineries and having another under construction. The RTO corporation look forward to making massive profits from the AaN oil fields. Along with their construction of oil rigs the RTO corporation is spearheading a combined Drakonian business venture into the construction of the Sutherland Plaza a massive building that will be the tallest in the AaN capital, Liberation.

Mad Cow Beef (MCB)

The MCB corporation has been one of the most recent Drakonian corporations to invest in AaN. It is will be opening a new market in AaN, shortly and is currently looking into purchasing a portside warehouse to hold it's products before their distribution. The MCB company is also invested in the construction of the Sutherland Plaza and plans to coordinated it's business in AaN in the complete Plaza.

Imperial Engineering Corporation (IEC)

The largest non-government construction company in the Drakonian Imperium IEC is the most recent investor in AaN and has recently bought the contract for the Construction of the Sutherland Plaza. It currently is looking for international investors and is selling several floors to those investor's companies.

More updates will be coming soon on the flourishing of Drakonian companies in AaN.

The Imperial Engineering Corporation has begun construction of Sutherland Plaza in Liberation (the capital AaN) and is now looking to sell office space to any interested investors. Currently, the floors occupied are:

The floors from the 21st to the 39th are still open to anyone willing to invest in AaN or the Sutherland Plaza itself.

The RTO corporation announced today that the completion of it's third and final oil rig and refinery and that all three rigs are now operating at full capacity. Profit on the operation is expected to be high.

The papers in AaN today speak variously of the nation's first moves to contact with surrounding Indian civilisations, the 12% economic growth this year, the latest military deal that sees AaN come into posession of a number of military grade transport helicopters and of the pleasing level of Drakonian investment in the islands.
All in all this has been an exciting week for the people of the Incorporated States, and for FBCo.plc.

President Brown announced the construction in Liberation of a small monument to the late Mr.Roberts of Info-Tec, and symbolic of the forgiveness and co-operation existing between the DI and AaN.

The Drakonian Imperium would like to announce that with the intention of furthering national relations, between the government of the Drakonian Imperium and the government of Andaman and Nicobar, a new statue has been built in the International Relations Complex in the Drakonian Capital of Drako Throne. The statue is a model of the Drakonian Praetor Augustus Drake and the President of AaN shaking hand as at their feet is a map of AaN.

President Brown is pleased, and even briefly stopped complaining about the hand he cut in an altercation with the glass coffee table formerly residing in his office.

(so you know how your statue might look, Brown's variously said to be 6'3" up to 6'5", and 240 to 270 lbs (not that he's fat, just abnormally muscular. It's not possible to get fat when you constantly wear a black suit and live in the Indian Ocean :) ), and he is rarely seen without his reading glasses. His receeding hairline was delt with through the medium of the razor (ie. he has a shaved head) and his facial hair once earned him the nickname "der fuhrer" -but after completing his rise to power the Indian originators and perpetuators of that name became better equated with piano-strings.)

Brown just last week announced the engagement of FBCo.plc. on several projects intended to see "floating cities" established around the islands in coming years. Apparently research work has been underway for the better part of a decade, and the cities should eventually house thousands.
It is likely that Drakonian businesses will be invited to join in construction projects once practical work begins.

The Drakonian government unveiled the Statue of Augustus Drake and President Brown of AaN, today before the International Ambassadorial Delegations of more than a dozen nations. The Statue marks a new era of peace, prosperity, and trade between the Drakonian Imperium and the nation of Andaman and Nicobar. The AaN delegates were said to say the Statues were an impressive sight of and that the likeness of both men was amazing. The Praetor was present for the ceremony and himself unveiled the new statues.

The 21st to 39th Floor of the Sutherland Plaza in Liberation (the capital of AaN) are still open to for any business or nation interest in leasing their use. Also there are several basement levels that have not been designated a use. Current expected investment per floor is thought to be around $100,000 USD, but this price is negotiatable.

President Eustace Brown of the ISAN (as AaN is often now known) to-day granted Drakonian corporations RTO, MCB, and I-T a substantial tax return on their ISAN based enterprises.

Over the last year ISAN taxes rose to almost unprecidented levels- the Dunyabian crisis was cited as one major cause. A clear example of the sheer scale of the increases is the nation's previously non-existant income tax, which rose to a high of 12% last month. That it has since been reduced to 10%, and is slated for further cuts is indicative, says Brown, of "things returning to normal".

Ever keen to keep some foreign investment in the islands, if only to ward off accusations of his own FBCo.plc's monopolies (Brown himself is said to be worth thirteen figures), the president declared Royal Trinidad Oil due a seventeen million dollar return.

Mad Cow Beef and Info-Tec were said to have been cleared for seven and four million dollar returns respectively.

The Imperial Drakonian Navy would like to request permission to purchase property in the Andaman and Nicobar islands for use as a Naval Base. We would prefer to purchase the property in or near the capital of Liberation, but other locations are possible.

The purpose of the Naval Base would be to serve as a operational and service center for Naval Forces operating in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. It would also serve to protect Drakonian oil and business interests from foriegn (non-Emirate) agression.

We hope this is possible and look forward to the opportunities and increased relations it will present between us and our long-time friends.

The Andaman and Nicobar island chains themselves are hopelessly over-crowded and every aspect of their capacity to provide services is at its limit, and in some cases beyond it. It was with this in mind that we returned to the southern Indian Ocean continent of New Tiamat, a large landmass with several significant islands off its shores, with the intention of establishing a new territory.

Here (http://groups.msn.com/NSRalishohan/maps.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=63) is a basic map of the region showing in yellow the land either preliminarily claimed or under some occupation by ISAN.

The continent is south of our home islands and of India, east of Madagascar, and so of course west of Australia. Grand Island, which is the large island constituting most of our claim and where we propose to negotiate establishment of a Drakonian outpost, lies over a thousand kilometres north of the Tropic of Capricorn, and some hundreds of kilometres south of the Equator. We hope this may still be a position of strategic and cost-effective significance to our friends in the Imperium.

The island is as yet hardly developed, and much is under construction with most work being carried out by FBCo and minor Nicobarese contractors, as well as some Danmarcian firms.

We would then wish to purchase property on Grand Island to serve as a Naval Base. As well, it is likely the Imperial Drakonian Armed Forces and Imperial Drakonian Aerospace Forces would wish to purchase annexs to the base, so it could serve as a combined overseas Military Base to allow for quick deployment to trouble spots.

If this is alright with the Andaman and Nicobar government we will begin the work immediately.
