Looks like Jolt moderation staff still check this place out, huh?

Thats pretty lame, your two threads got closed pretty arbitrarily.

The NSG mods who don't have any mod powers here anymore. Yeah. Real influential. I'm sure they specifically ordered the Jolt mods to lock those threads because they care so much about what goes on on an old, disused forum almost nobody except you bothers with.

Maybe the Jolt mods will ban you from here too. That would be deliciously ironic.

Indeed, and we all know how much Jolt listened to the NSG mods when they needed stuff fixed here (forum errors and such like), and how compliant they were when they were asked to provide the data so we could 'port all of the threads from Jolt over to the new forums. To say nothing of banning people who criticised OMAC.

Or, in Reploid Production's words (http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?p=1424488#p1424488)...

"** BREAKING NEWS ** UMP is now Moderated Paradise"

…is containing similar stuff. But not locked (yet). More important THAT one is not about NSG. :)

Maybe Reploid is hating Jolt et vice versa, which doesn't mean that all NSG mods are at war with all the Jolt mods.

I don’t know, but you don’t know either.

Critique on NSG on the NSG forum isn't allowed too. So?

It’s not that weird anyway. On UMP my first thread was about the fugly colour scheme (kind of yellow on a black background).

The result was a flame war that continued several pages.

I don’t know, “My child, beautiful child”- syndrome maybe?

Btw, You are having critique on OMAC. Are you already banned? :)

Indeed. I was particularly moved by HK's silly spam TG on NS...

Yes, you will report this TG in the Moderation Section, but before you do…

…take part in "The Bad NSG Moderators Poll".

It is a great opportunity to show your dislike, in a democratic manner.

Where can you find this poll?

Not on NSG of course, the NSG moderators would immediately destroy it, but you can find it on a real "Free Speech Zone" like Jolt:

http://forums.joltonline.com/showthread.php?t=607025

Well, before I can vote I must register first, how do I create an account?

If you don’t have a Jolt account yet, visit this link first:

http://forums.joltonline.com/register.php?do=signup

Are those links safe?

Yes, even the NSG moderators admit this:

http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?p=1415651 # p1415651

Btw, when you are a finished voting, you are allowed to stay awhile in this Free Speech Zone.

The Jolt forum is just the former NationStates forum where you can talk about exactly the same issues like on NSG.

What’s different?

A lot. The moderation is very easy going. You can’t post porn or malware links, but you can write that another is an asshole if you feel to. You’ll never see those stupid WARNINGS again and you can discuss about everything in a real Free Speech Zone.

JOIN JOLT TODAY!

PS: Feel free to send this TG to at least 5 NSG friends.

Yes.

HK gets DoSed from NS for trolling, flaming and general incivility after multiple warnings.

I get IP banned by OMAC without any warning for criticizing them in a relatively civil fashion.

I'm a member at UMP and, while I haven't posted there for various reasons, l feel fairly safe in saying I'd not likely be banned.

I know which places are really Free Speech Zones... Jolt/OMAC's not on the list.

I doubt it could have been anyone but you, otherwise why make a poll about the "worst mods at NS" or whatever?

And no, they aren't more easy going, where was the flaming in your thread that got locked?
Or the ever dubious "I don't like where this is going" thats the most BS reason ever.

1. You can create a thread here
2. I can make a TG about your thread and spam it on NSG

The reason why the mod locked those 2 threads is indeed some bizarre.

That's why I wouldn't be surprised that some NSG mod, who's having a friendly relationship with Lydias, asked to block it.

I don't say it happened that way, it's just a plausible explanation.

Ifyou care to tell me who sent it I might believe you.

As for who has a lighter hand moderating, my experiences as posted above speak for themselves. The one warning I've ever had from an NS mod in 7 years was deserved. All of yours were deserved as far as I know.

What Jolt/OMAC tried to do to me was completely disroportional.

As for Jolt/OMAC's being more easygoing here, that seems to be more of a case of this being more or less a dead forum and Jolt/OMAC's incompetence. From today's activity, it seems Jolt/OMAC might finally be aware thatthey need to monitor this forum.

That would be excruciatingly pathetic, but there's no proof this had anything to do with a request from the NSG mods.

The activity of this Jolt/NationStates section certainly increased the last couple of days. But not that much that it retracted the attention of the moderators.

They also locked a few postings couple of weeks ago. It were also threads with the NSG mods as target... :)

One of my puppets is running around for 5 or 6 years now. It's even older than HK or HK II :)

But I create sometimes new ones too, when I'm bored, like Physical Ali (the one who doesn't like homosexeruals). :)

Screaming of paranoia there.

But what is your motivation? As you said earlier, there are more than three forums on the internet, although the way you're acting it is as if there isn't.

There is no way that the NS mods would ever let you back, even if there is a wider questioning of the behaviour of certain mods. The tactics you have used, including the whole spam thing, have just resulted in a DoS on your part. Now there's apparently only been one player who has ever managed to get a DoS rescinded, and they've been quietly getting on ever since. You're really not the sort of person to be quiet, as you've shown over the last few months. And, by the looks of it, few ordinary members of the fora would welcome your return.

So what is in it for you? A nice fuzzy warm feeling that you're right, or do you envision yourself as some sort of NSG Messiah, ready to free us from the unjust oppression of the Mod World Order, the sinister syndicate of NS and Jolt Mods? Your tactics have probably strengthened the position of those you've been decrying, rather than made anyone actively question their decisions and their authority.

I would have gladly had HK back, I think he was a funny poster and started lots of threads, which is whats needed on NSG very often, although the spamming is pretty childish, and I have to say made me question my judgment on that matter...

At any rate, he'll never be not DOS for the reasons you've listed.

I'm aware about that. HK will never return anyway, even if the mods would allow it (not that they would :p).

I'm right, but that's not important, it has no worth, getting right is more interesting.

Fair enough.

I just don't see the point, as it really seems like a bit of a pointless hobby the indulge in, but then I suspect that that accusation can be laid at the door of most interneting.

Personally, I'd have pissed off a while ago if I were in your shoes, let alone piss around spamming for a good few weeks. But then I wouldn't have been in your shoes in the first place, so there we go.

Me and countless other people tried to talk, several dozen times, in a constructive and polite manner about the behaviour of some mods WITH the mods.

Did it change anything? No.

What was the result? More warnings, bans and similar. Best case, the issue was just completely ignored.

Some people are hidden in UMP, moaning about the bad-bad mods, but doing nothing more as moaning (which doesn't mean that UMP is only about moaning about NSG, in fact it isn't at all).

I know others on other forums which are launching big plans, but do nothing.

I’m more an active person. I know that enough people think: “We don’t like the way how HK is formulating the ‘problems’, but the problems are real.”.

On my part (I ought not to have been grouping other people with me), I have had problems with the moderating, but it was your actions which pissed me off a whole lot more than anything the Mods did.

I'm also somewhat surprised that there are (apparently - I'm going to take what you've said with a pinch of salt) that many people out there "planning" to do something about it. It saddens me, to be honest. They ought to just move on, although I'm fully aware that it can be difficult to let forums go.

They do allow guests, but then you can't see the real thing. You will only see the News Section and a few other threads.

To explore the entire forum you have to register and rumours say you have to pass an interview for acceptation.

Drunk Comies was an NS big offender. I guess this person hated mods because of being DEAT as the say in NS-ese, so said person created UMP. I thought maybe it came from The Unmoderated Paradise Party thread here.
