It was really unmoderated for years, till yesterday. They banned the first human ever.

Having now visited the new and improved UMP, my impression of it is that, even in its present state, NSG is to UMP as Arnold Schwartzenegger is to Danny DeVito.

When I entered UMP, I noticed the fugly colour scheme, and I wrote a short OP about it.

Now I’m an usability engineer so I know at least something about such stuff. So I backed it up with evidence, references to studies, books and stuff…

The result? A flame war of a couple of pages. How dared I only to suggest that their colour scheme sucked!!! Bad, bad, bad Kitten!!!! :)

I seriously had no troll intention with that thread, but it became like trolling just by their over the top reactions.

¼ of those people are just like the NSG mods: frustrated, not accepting that other people have other views and mindsets and they will use all their power to conform you to their side.

The NSG mods use warnings, bans and stuff and those ¼ UMP losers use flames, coalitions to single out people, troll tactics, straw man techniques and just clear lying just to achieve the same goals.

And both don’t like it when you shove a mirror in front of their fucking face. Use a mirror that’s showing how they really are and they’ll go berserk. :)

They are just the same people, only the tools are different.

Actually, I created just one puppet: New Kid on The Block.

And I didn't hide it behind a proxy. The reason why I created that puppet was obvious and it created just one, very harmless, posting...

When that NM thing showed up, GT and GoG 'concluded' very fast that it wasn't the writing style of the real NM (while in reality it was a real NM posting, only not posted by the real NM), so it HAS to be HK.

Strange that they'd copy one of NM's posts if they were intending to point-out that it wasn't his style. One would think they would have typed-up a deliberately unique post.

No, it is not that strange.
It was just a part of the tactic in moving the attention from 'NM' to HK.

Why I was banned? I don't exactly know why.

m00nbeast was moaning that I was using so many IP's.

But there's probably an explanation for: probably it were just the IP's of my adds. I checked a few of those IPs and could link them with some add company in Amsterdam.

I never used a proxy to post on UMP, but he didn't believe it and misinterpreted those add IPs.

It was already explained to him, much better than I can, by some one else on UMP. That guy worked as an admin for such an add company, he explained the procedures and how it is appearing in the logs...

Why should I use a proxy to post with HK? Those proxies are a risk for getting viruses and stuff and they are slowing down surfing around.

GT was also widely hated, but he had at least four or five posters who didn't mind him, so he didn't get kicked out (though many members of UMP were in favor of it). He's gone now, though, and he won't be coming back, methinks.

UMP still doesn't have any rules, but it does have a banishment vote option, similar to ancient Athens. The screening process means an unknown member is initially confined to a certain part of the forum for interrogation. If anyone knows and likes him, the new guy is immediately let in. If not, then he's questioned to determine whether or not he's worth having.
