Jolt/OMAC no longer controls NS. Max has reclaimed it, I guess. He also has the www.nationstates2.com domain. Jolt still has the code, so Max has no power to restore the game. If he had the power, he would maybe do so and make it non-Jolt. This forum may close, as the game is no longer Jolt owned. So, if it was to close, would you miss your post count?

I don't care a whole lot anymore. I could live without this forum. I just post here because I can.

Using flags instead of avatars isn't just bad, it's confusing. Too many people have the same flags, so you can be confused easily about who's posting. Avatars made it easier to identify posters.

I'm only now seeing that as i try to spend a short amount of time there each day as i don't like the feel of the place

My last post before this one was almost a year ago, and the last time I was really active was in January 2008. Today I decided to have another look at NSG, see what's going on, maybe come back for a bit... and I found a desolate wasteland where NSG once was.

I wouldn't mind if they simply locked the forums, as long as they kept the archives for all time - but if they delete the archives, I will miss this place.

After this, though, I will at least be able to say that I got one more post in before the close! :)

Oh, and Derscon - you're still around? Wow, I remember you from way back when. We used to talk about communism and Christianity. Good times.

Since I enjoy complaining about the new forums I'll add this, I also hate that the Nationstates sidebar is stuck on the forum. I use 640 by 480 so the side bar ends up covering a 3rd of the page..

I don't like that there doesn't seem to be a public poll option. Otherwise its fine, except for missing out on some of the people who for some god awful reason still post here.

Everything is in one nice neat little package with the new setup. I can see new issues and telegrams coming in without leaving the forums. Couple that with Max no longer getting screwed over and you have a win! :D
