Most of them I think are members who haven't bothered to log on. I get logged on as soon as I come here because I always use the same computer nowadays, but in the old days when I was usually on a different computer every time, I wouldn't log on until I had something to post.

I just tried to log on from my new OS (well, same OS but new version, anyway it didn't have the cookies the old one I'm using now does. Reinstall allows such importation, but I opted against it.)
I'm pretty sure I got my password right here. I couldn't log on.
I say it is possible that those Guests are veteran NSGers, who either can't or can't-be-bothered logging on to the old forum.
On a related note, the Google bot and the Google Adsense bot both appear as users on the new forum. Isn't that sweet?

Actually, someone has made a nation called Google Adsense, if I recall. You may be seeing him, too.

Spiderbots owned by google or whoever. They explore the web(cos they're spiders, geddit?) watching what we say so they can deliver semi-relevant ads(like Evony) or catalogue our crappy arguments so they'll appear on google.
