Since I am stuck here in Jolt (on this computer), I thought I would go back and dig up some old posts that were memorable.

Even though I have been accused by some posters here as being anti-American, one of my first posts (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=6071793&postcount=45), back in Feb. 2004, was defending freedom of speech in America.

I am a Cuban-American and I have lived in the USA for 9 years. I have made this country my home, and although am proud of my Cuban herritage, I am above anything else an American. I am sick of other foreign people bad mouthing us in the Forum. If you can't accept the fact that this is the best nation in the world for democracy and capitalism, and we are proud of who we are: then move back to when you came from. It might be your 1st ammendment right to say whatever you want, but face it, if you don't want to be here, then perhaps you should leave.

I am sick of remarks like "You stupid Americans, Chavez is right in Venezuela, you are stupid." as someone sent to my mail box. America is a great country, I have the freedom to go to college and decide my future. I will be rewarded because of my merrits and skills. God bless this nation. (USA # 1)

Hmmmm I find this an very interesting situation. You came to America from a country that supresses freedom of speech, and free movement (Cuba), and now that you are an American citizen, you would want to supress the freedom of speech of others in your new country? Are you attempting to turn the USA into your own version of Cuba?

Since some of you want to hang in here until the bitter end, perhaps there are some posts that you would like to share?

Something about how when he is on one particular computer (the one at home?) the link to the new forum doesn't work, for whatever mysterious reason.

What am I nostalgic for? Some of the departed posters like AndarasPrime and UnitedBeleriand whose stupidity was utterly invincible (is it still "flaming" to insult someone after they've been banned? if so, my apologies).

I miss the old Paradise Club.

UB was basically my archnemesis. If you're wondering what happened to him, I sorta killed him in an epic battle in Jerusalem. I defeated him by strapping a CD player carrying a Neo-Nazi CD to him, turning it on full volume, and throwing him into an ultra-Orthodox neighborhood. On Shabbat.

I remember UB. He was annoying. I had a love/hate relationship with Cluichistan. I really miss Jesussaves. He was hilarious.

I remember the name United Beleriand, but I can't remember anything specific about him. I miss Bann-ed and Andaras, although for totally different reasons.

I remember all the cyber-flirting with that one girl in the paradise beach threads, and how everyone was sick of her repetitive roleplaying style.

I think I saw her under a new name try to start a new club in the NationStates forum (here on jolt) a few months ago. Not sure it was her though.

I think my very first thread at NSG, under my PIcaRDMPCia account, was "Religion is fiction." I remember being not anywhere near as fair minded then. I started growing up pretty quickly though.

I am severely missing the multi-quote feature, the quote link (green arrow), the tools on the user CP over at the "new" dinosaur boards.
