Obama's Voice.

When I read a news article that has quotes from Barack Obama, As I read them, I actually hear his voice in my head saying them. That never happened with Bush and it has me concerned.
Everyone knows what a technophile Obama is. Is it possible that he has found a way to transmit his voice directly into my head?!?
Has anybody else noticed this? Are we doomed???

I saw it, I just think that's the reason I here his voice when I read quotes of him.
That's kind of creepy. The last thing I would ever want is a politician's voice stuck in my head.

You do realize your icon is opening up a direct link between Obama and your head right?

He reminds me of my grandfather when he talks. He would even hold his index finger up when lecturing me, just like Obama. I think the reason his voice sticks with us is the fact that our brains are not used to digesting the words of an honest politician.

i blame it on fred armisen's impersonation of obama on SNL. it hightlights the distinct features of his voice and makes it easier to imagine in your mind.

I have a similar thing. Every time I read a Batman comic I hear the voices from the Animated Series.

Yep, I do that with all sorts of people, and Obama is one of the strongest voices in my head. Maybe it's because his voice is so strong, so powerful and raw, yet so refined and cultured and smooth. He dresses up his words real pretty, all shotguns and lace.

I've got quite a collection, fron Nathan Fillion to Marlon Brando, Bender, Berk, even Pauline Hanson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pauline_Hanson) (unfortunately). They all contribute their voices to make reading some things wonderfully entertaining and engaging, and others painful.

You're half right, but it's nothing so sinister.
You see, patriotism has become something of our national religion. It has been since before the signing of the Constitution. Over the years a Spirit of the US has arisen. Something like a Guardian Angel for the US. It inhabits the body of the duly elected president of the US bestowing upon him an unearthly charisma.
This is why LG never "heard" Bush's voice. Bush didn't win, and thus, never received that blessing. But look who did. Before becoming the losing candidate for president, Al Gore's charisma was compared unfavorably with that of a block of wood. Afterwards he won an Oscar and a frickin' Nobel Prize for reading a PowerPoint presentation. There's no explanation in the natural world for how such a thing could happen. The explanation is actually a supernatural one.
There have been a number of president's who lacked this spirit. Truman, Ford, and LBJ obviously lacked it because none of them were elected. Carter apparently never received it either. Probably because he won no real victory defeating such a disgraced candidate. Truman won WWII and couldn't get re-elected. LBJ couldn't defeat a pre-defeated third-world country with the most powerful military in the world, even if it had already been pounded by an (albeit faded) empire and was conquered by a rising empire before that. And Ford... His wife is more famous for being an alcoholic than he was for being President.
Obama is now the heir to that beneficent spirit. And so he talks directly into our souls. Why do you think the second he won there were parties all over the world? Magic. That's why.

Point of historical order Trumaine was elected.
The election of 1948 he defeated Dewey (country would have been better if he had won).
He chose not to run for re election because the term limit amendment would have prevented him from running (though the grandfather clause would have allowed it), he felt in keeping within the spirit of the tradition of only 2 term presidents.
